      Crucial! He has the height, the skillset...all he needs is the aggressiveness he has shown vs his old team--in every game.
      Let's not forget how key Andre Iguodala is. When Klay comes back, Andre knows very well how to play with the Splash Brothers; Andrew hasn't experienced that, yet.

    wiggins was everything that d-lo wasnt. wiggins on the wolves was considered to be a bad defender, cant pass, terrible efficacy, and didnt give full effort. d-lo was the flashy ball centric player who has the skill to score big but d-lo was the least coachable player on the warriors since the start of the warriors recognition, he refused to learn how to play defense which is something you have to be willing to do if steve kerr is your coach. when wiggins got traded to the warriors u instantly saw him getting better on def to the point now where is is a low t1 high t2 defender wing defender, wiggins showed he lack of effort was not a player thing and was most likely a demoralized player in a bad franchise that had no one to teach how to be a real pro. there was very few people when then trade was first made that thought this was a good trade for the warriors because people thought he was everything i said above plus he was considered to have one of the worst contracts in the nba but for the warriors the contract did not matter as he was essentially an expensive MLE for the warriors but now his contract while still over priced between everything he has learned on the warriors hes a 20-25 mil per year type player. outside of the whole vaccine situation he gets to play and not be the main focus while having split duties for scoring with poole as who is every having the better night and then when klay comes back he goes down another rank in scoring expectation. oh also getting the 7th pick overall where warriors got another big who was considered to be a top 5 draft talent that feel to 7 made this deal a straight fleecing of the wolves.
    i had been called for gp2 needed to be our 15th man on the roster even more the pre season games.......i thought that if he got to play a few mins at the end up each half for his defense alone he will bring more value to the team than any 15th man in the nba. when they waived him i thought the warriors fucked up and there no way someone wasnt going to claim him but i guess the amount of teams hes been on plus the GM's/HC's having their heads up their ass to not see the value of 10+ mins of elite defense a game. GP2 has exceeded every single persons expectations including his own fathers. 3 double digit scoring games in the last 6 games alone alone with 14 steals in his last 112 mins in the last 5 games and is avging 3.6 steals per 36 mins through out the season.
    everything about this warriors team has been what you expected out of them during the the early championship runs, curry with a few scoring side kicks(plus another one on the way), a deep bench that is full of vets, plus were still wating on reinforcements.
    edit: just want to point out that just about evey single person iggy was going to be on the team solely at a vet presence and the post season due to the end of his time wit the heat. iggy has essentially is a PG off the bench with the only other PG being GP2. IGGY has a PER so far is better than all but 1 of his last 8 seasons in the league which was the 16-17 season. iggy has been completely reborn and could end up winning another ring with the warriors and ride off into the sunset.

    The freaky thing is, Wiggins is STILL only, like, 26. If he played back in the day when you stayed in college for 3-4 years, he'd only be in like, his fourth year. So he's just hitting the peak of his athletic prime. He's been playing awesome on defense and has just been so effective on offense being super aggressive.

      @majamintoft5821 Před 2 lety +2

      @callmecatalyst I have my reservations on the Dubs "buzz-sawing" their way to the Finals. The East ain't what it used to be--the weaker conference. It just might be the stronger one, rn. Look at the teams that not so long ago were on the bottom of the EC--now are in the top 6 in the standings. It's a long season; some may drop down, some not. Miami Heat are on their revenge tour and they are right next to the Nets as a seeming threat to the Dubs. (Tuesday's match-up @ Nets I'm so nervous/worried about.)
      I'm not that worried about most West teams.
      I need to see our Dubs beat the Clippers, Lakers, and Grizz more than once. Blowing out the Grizz at least once would be so beautiful. Sweet redemption. Same goes for beating the Mavs. (I just don't like Luka and the org. )
      Having the best record in the league so early in the new season is great. ESPN's SAS and many other sports/NBA analysts are already crowning the Dubs as Champs. 🚩🚩🚩🚩⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ PUMP ON THE BREAKS!!! CHILL!!!!!
      And please don't compare this great start to their 2015/16 start--the ending was so heartbreaking.
      This 21/22 season is still so young! Agree that a lot can happen during this marathon. I'm 🙏 🤲 for all Dubs to stay healthy as well as for all in the league and beyond.
      I don't know about V. Oladipo's rehab status; but, I hope he'll be back soon. The Klaw might be out for the season (partial ACL tear) and Jamal Murray (torn ACL as of early April 2020 vs GSW). I don't see him returning to the game this season/post season either. He shouldn't, imo. With Kawhi out, currently PG13 is on a tear on both sides of the ball.
      Dubs will improve during the course of the season, so will many good teams.
      The one major thing for Dubs to improve on is to limit their turnovers a bit more. It's evident that they are working on it. Their 22 turnovers cost them a win vs Grizz last month. A lesson learned I hope.
      Last season Dubs' fouling was another major issue. I see that it's not so much this time. Staying on track with maintaining the #1top defensive rating--or having the top 3rd--- throughout this l-o-o-o-o-ng season is the way to the Finals -->🏆#4 in recent Dubs' history.
      After 2 seasons of missing the play-offs, and with Klay's and Wiseman's return to the game around the corner, Steph and Draymond are on a mission, add Klay's redemption tour---after he'll shake off the rust---he and the Dubs will be very😱😱😱😱😱. The rest of the league is already put on notice. It's a long journey with it's ups and downs. Hope for more ups for the Dubs, of course.
      I'm in the present moment. I worry about every upcoming game (certain matchups more than others), watch the games intently, and revel in every Dubs' win. Recent victorious Dubs' games had me in total awe. Took me quite some time to pick up my jaw from the floor. I'm looking forward to more of such games and praying for all to stay healthy. For those in rehab to come back stronger sooner than later.
      ✌😊
      My apologies for my lengthy reply.

      This one I noticed, for as far as I remembered, 8 out of 12 wins (rough estimate) there's a #22 jersey behind that win knocking big 3, creating crucial stop, etc. just doing everything he can to get that W. He didn't get as many points as we expected for him because of the rise of JP which took a considerable amount of attempts too and it's not a bad thing in my opinion. "Just play your role and get the W, that simple!"

    Number two rated defense in the league at the end of the season.
    They gelled and peaked during the playoffs.
    Then went on to win the Championship.
    They finally figured out
    how to win with all of their core players back and healthy except for Ironman Kevin Looney he played every game in the season and in the playoff run to the Finals.

  • @Firelafraud
    @Firelafraud Před 2 lety

    I get your critique about losing leads, especially with the DUBS history of doing so since 2013 BUUUT...keep in mind that a 19 point lead now is not the same as a 19 point lead prior to 2014. The Warriors and (mostly) Steph have changed the game so much that 19 points can be scored with 6-7 baskets which at 24 seconds per possession, times two for opposing teams possession, that's how much teams average in only 5 minutes of playing time. If we are losing 30 point leads, that's a different story but in a game that's all about runs, scoring can go 20-4 in any given quarter so I am not too worried.

Fast break with Iggie, Dray, GP II and Kuminga. 3-point shooters coming off the bench - D. Lee, Porter, Chioza and even Bjelica. #2 pick 7'1" budding monster Wiseman. Even when K D was in the team, they are not looking as like a TEAM like this current one. Major issue was that KD never played like a team player. His individual game is very good and effective because not many players can defend him one on one. Plus Steph and Klay, they won championship. But this team even without Klay and Wise, everyone plays a team game. Nobody cares about individual numbers.all they care about is winning games. This is what I like about this one. 👍👍

Does anybody notice when he’s at the three point line and there’s a defender in front of him he pretends he’s going to do a three cross him over enough until the defenders feet is not in the right stance to go torward to him and he runs around him and does a layup? I can imagine when Stephen curry retires it will be a catastrophic shock to the nba most importantly warrior fans.
