    I cannot WAIT for this to air in the states....or hit iTunes. :) Really needs to be more shows like this on Animal Planet, NatGeo, Discovery, and Public Boradcasting!!! That really is the best medium for exposing large populations (repeatedly ) about the terrible, TERRIBLE results of deforestation and poaching. Such a great show. Keep posting links.:)

      @Rob Lucas im pretty sure if you give them a call on the Ape Hotline Coconut phone they will get back to you. Now i would try and make that call sooner than later before all of there habitat is totally destroyed by deforestation, slash and burning of thousands of acres of forest and lets not forget the illegal poaching of Orang Utan that goes on day in and day out. This comment really started to turn dark for me because of the shiz that is going on totally blows my mind, and it just continues as if its the normal thing to do!! Its insane to me!! Its Kill, Take, Stuff your pockets and move on.

    If you do not wish them to behave like this, perhaps you should take their education seriously. No reason you and they can't all have fun. This doesn't even take a primate behaviorist; an early childhood educational specialist can recognize every behavior and the means to encourage or put an end to it, at least--most of the time.... And with early childhood, "most of the time" is a most realistic goal!

    • @arimasmemphis4061
      @arimasmemphis4061 Před 5 lety

      I don't know about that. I think they lose their mothers mostly due to the pet trade because if the mother dies in the forest of starvation, it wouldn't be long before the baby dies, as well. They'll either die of starvation or being left alone to fend for themselves.

    In all seriousness, why wouldn't a shock collar correct this bad behavior?? The apes learn quick. I'd think it could be a useful tool used correctly.

    • @teresas8173

      Trial212 , you need a shock collar ahole

    • @Trial212
      @Trial212 Před 5 lety

      @@teresas8173 So, it's better to let them ruin things and be completely disruptive to the camp. I suppose you think that's fine because they're 'cute". It won't be very funny when they mature and are old enough to put a serious mauling on the people around them when they don't get what they want. Oh but you'll be fine with that.

    • @arimasmemphis4061
      @arimasmemphis4061 Před 5 lety +1

      I don't think a collar wouldn't help unless it shocks them every time they do something bad. To be honest, I really think those two would do well from a good sound beating with a belt. It won't kill them; just sting a little, no different than a shock collar, except instead of the neck, they'll feel it on their backs. A belt would encourage them to sit down somewhere, act like they got some sense and learn their forest skills because if they are to survive in the forest, it's very important that they learn them and they can't learn them by playing around and goofing off.
