    To me, Ben Miller was the perfect actor for "Death in Paradise", all others that followed didn't quite have that certain something, (it must have been that woollen suit from M&S!)... He's a brilliant actor and comedian...

      You can read Richard Poole / Camille Bordety ´s Fanfiction. In DiP I´m only interested in seasons 1 and 2. ONLY 1 and 2. The Fanfiction´s Universe Alternative is lovely, huge and charming! You´ll love it! There´re very good, very, very, good writers! Highly recommended!

    'The Euro 96 story', he's talking about 30 minutes in. You had to remember the silly way the media built that team up and how the fans went along with it to get the joke. I'm glad it's one of his favourites.

    Where ya been dude? You and your wife are missed. I got attacked/ mauled by a dog on 5/5 and I guess I have some PTSD so I'm not sleeping so well. The docs glued my throat back together, so I thought for sure I'd be over it real quick. I honestly didn't think a 52 lb put could overcome my 105 lb body. Oh well, you guys are missed & I hope you and your family are all well and happy.

    Things have changed so much these days…it seems you only have say you are a comedian and hey presto if your face fits you are.
    The fact that you can only make people laugh if you slip on a banana has nothing to do with it.
    Gone are the days when scripts and performance was uniquely brilliant.
    Has their been a funny comedic program in the last ten years?
    Stand up now relies on filth and outrage ,being obscene is one thing but it does not replace comedy.
    The left woke agenda is vital if you want a gig,being ethnic or diverse is compulsory,and most of the time enough.
    The poor viewer/audience seems to try so hard to laugh so as to fit in.
    All the classic scripts wouldn’t pass the BBC woke censor now,and June sarpong would have a field day.
    Nothing since spike,pythons, Galton and Simpson etc has appeared and not likely to in this woke life we are all supposed to adhere to

    Oxford is supposed to represent the "elite". Comedians aren't elite

      Have you heard of Footlights?

    • @johnnysmit1315
      @johnnysmit1315 Před 6 lety

      Tom Williams no. It's a dual point. Maybe he is a top tier comedian, a top tier clown is still just a clown.
      And Oxford just doesn't seem like an elite university anymore. It's hard to tell, I don't go there. That's the impression it gives out as well other traditional top colleges like Harvard. They just seem to have diminished and their standards but cling on to their reputations.

    • @rienpost3145
      @rienpost3145 Před 6 lety +5

      @Johnny Smit : You use very narrow definitions of both 'comedian' and 'elite'.

      @johnnysmit1315 Před 6 lety

      Kas van 't Land lmao brilliant. I find these responses hilarious. People defending the "elite" comedian. I guess if I was at Oxford, I would want to defend it's stellar reputation too

      Ben Miller is really brilliant. He was in Cambridge. Why not Oxford?. And yes, very good comedians ARE, always, "elite". Did you know that the sense of humor is directly related with a great intelligence? That´s true.
