Absolutely love this - I could listen to Mark talk all day. He's very interesting and obviously super smart but also warm and engaging too - his intelligence or fame doesn't make him full of himself

Mark is such a multi faceted individual and it's always a pleasure to hear him speak. Such a shame that the questions almost entirely focus on Sherlock and Dr Who. I'd love to have heard him talk about his adaptations of MR James and HG Wells and about his love of horror.

More of us than you know feel the same way you do, Mr Gatiss, about the current state of the world and, at least stateside, about what passes for politicians these days... It's a very fearsome time indeed. But I'd like to believe that there are more minds, more voices as intelligent and far reaching as your own, that will do everything they can to be the voice of reason. With their votes, with their creativity, with their humor. All gifts you have utilized yourself, to the fullest, I'm sure. That measure of a man, or woman, will always last, beyond whatever fresh hell is consuming the news media of the day. Best wishes in all things, and thank you for so much amazing entertainment.

Q: "Who in real life would you like to play next?"
A: "Theresa May. But I think it's too early for a remake of Nosferatu."
(big laugh) But truly, how ironic is that comment with the news we have now of Gatiss & Moffat's next original series? lol (if you haven't heard, they're going to do a new adaptation of Dracula for TV)

In regards to that question about who the Doctor, Mycroft, and Sherlock would vote for, I don't think Sherlock would even be aware or care that there was an election. I can't think of detailed examples right off the top of my head, but I'm fairly certain there were at least a couple a conversations he had over the course of the series in which he wasn't aware of who well known political figures were.

Lousy questions. Nobody asked about his interest in the horror genre. What could he have done with the stories of Edgar Allan Poe for instance? It was all about the money spinning sherlock and doc who.
