Look at the left side of the road, that's a reasonably sized flat area, if red car had bothered to wait then dashcammer could have pulled over safely.
I had to feel sorry for dashcammer but couldn't help but laugh. Just so tragic how people are nowadays

by the looks of the video, the car looks like its doing 25 MAX? might be a 20 road and yes hes speeding. And yeh, the cars on the junctions are the top of the chain in the wrong!! But the car emerging would be able to see through car windows to see a bright red car coming towards them
Regardless of if it was a narrow street, reduced visibility for anyone joining the road, or where cars are parked. The red car had right of way to continue ahead. If they decide to try and merge and create an obstruction in doing so, or cause traffic to have to slow down, then they've failed because that's not how driving works.
Yes it's shit the road was bad, traffic and visibility wasn't great, but that falls on the car trying to merge and join safely. The guy in the red car could have been a bit more cautious, he could have slowed right down, even stopped and let the cam car out, but at the same time he didn't have to.

Greater Toronto Area Dashcam Oh yes, the god awful pretense of "you hit me!" such people would come up with.
At 9:58 the cammer says "For fucks sake, really" when it is obvious the car in front is going to reverse/starts reversing, then 3 seconds later at 10:01 hits the horn just before/as the car hits.
She had 3 full seconds to warn the idiot reversing! A sound of the horn to warn of the danger of a moving vehicle (the reversing car) to the driver of said vehicle those 3 seconds earlier (as I doubt it heard the words recorded on the video) would likely have avoided the crash, and given more weight to not being partially responsible (as evinced by failing to warn of the potential impending crash until it happened).
@@cigmorfil4101 Cigmorfil somebody reversed and automatically expected it to be clear. There is a mirror for a reason. Could easily have been a pedestrian or cyclist in the road. Anything can change within the 3 seconds of stopping and going into reverse.
The car infront brakes, THEN Indicates and reverses. Cam car can't read the mind of a car infront.car infront should have indicated before the space to allow cam car to stop

No but the cam car driver can read the reversing lights coming on as evinced by the "for fucks sake really", but then does nothing to warn the obviously non mirror using driver (brake = manoeuvre, THEN indicates = signal) for 3 seconds - obviously dazzled by the reversing lights and does a "deer/other dumb animal sitting in road panicking not knowing which way to go" instead of doing the responsible (and self preservation) thing of warning said unobservant driver by using its horn immediately instead of waiting until the crunch is imminent when there is no time for the dozy reverser to wake up and the crunch will happen
@@cigmorfil4101 you can clearly hear the cam cars reverse beep as he went into reverse but the guy in front came way too fast. Cam car was getting out of the way and probably assumed the blind arse in front was using his mirrors. How can you think the cam car is in any way at fault?

The speed of the other car is irrelevant.
But even going a few miles an hour slower, the camera car wouldn't have had safe time to pull out.
I'd say the biggest problem here is the blue car parked right at the junction. No visibility for anyone.

Quite frankly I wouldn't have stopped either. He is aggressively tailgating and speeding. I think the other driver has a right to be concerned about physical violence.

That last reply makes more sense to me, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Brief use of the horn fair enough, but holding it down for a while will get you into unnecessary shit.
Glad it's not just me thought this, I was scratching my head at what might have happened prior/during the clip.
Hesitation - the cars to the right of the white car are able to pull out so the cam car would obviously expect the white car to go. Even just a short beep sets people off as we see numerous times across these clips.
My first thought was that the camera car beeped the white Citroen. Sometimes that all it can take to set someone off.

@Jon Seymour given his driving and subsequent reaction, I'm inclined to suggest he was.
@Harry M clearly, the qashqai driver was wrong and took a risk that could have been fatal. It did, however, slow down to let the cars immediately next to it go past, which is an acknowledgment of their own mistake anyway. However, peter was obviously lane hogging in the beginning (suggesting when the qashqai driver looked in their mirror, they saw an empty lane to their left after the cars had passed), and then attempted to undertake a car that was slowing down with an exit coming up when the lane to the right was free. He also drove dangerously post-incident in an attempt to confront the other driver.
