20kg is a LOT! I started with 12.5kg for eight days camping across England and that was tough enough. I'm not sure I'd make it through the first day with 20kg 😬 respect!
Beautiful countryside - despite the rain! Thanks for sharing your travels. I enjoy watching your videos, and learning more about Scotland.

Pity about the weather, but it's not only Scotland that gets it like that. When I was about the same age as you guys I did the Pennine Way, which took 18 days and it rained most of the time on 16 of them. Oh and blisters, I found that wearing two pairs of socks, one thin and one thick worked quite well. I think you can get double walled socks these days too. A blister kit is always a good idea as well. 20kg is quite a weight too, so good on you for that. Good luck with the rest of the hike, hope the weather improves.
Nice one lads, done the whw twice in my younger days, first time was in 1980 and again in '92, it's changed so much apart from the rain and the midge, enjoy it lads 👍

though I'd say you already have loads of character to spare.
