    *PLEASE NOTE: As per your request & the reactions of some people, I have adjusted the shading and coloring of the blushes. This is NOT the only way to color skin & blush with marker; this is just my way of doing it. My style is more cartoony, so the blush is more exaggerated. I also created these pieces with the intention of their blush and lips to look like makeup. If you want to create a more natural look, choose more natural colors. I used what was available in the set, but if you have more variety in markers, your choices will differ. Depending on your preference, adjust the level of saturation & brightness of the markers you apply.

      Is there anyway to use alcohol markers with a lighter touch? Another words, the markers I have are huge bold bright colors, is it possible to tone these colors down if they’re too strong or I have to buy a different set of lighter colors?

    • @SketchingwithRabbits
      @SketchingwithRabbits  Před 3 lety

      The only way I could think to lighten a color is to use a colorless blender, but typically I find myself layering markers enough where it actually makes the color darker. The best way to get a significantly lighter color is to, unfortunately, purchase a marker that is already light.

    Beautiful!! How did you add the little freckles like?

    • @SketchingwithRabbits
      @SketchingwithRabbits  Před 9 měsíci

      You could add light freckles with colored pencils - it would give it a softer feel. The natural "spotting" from alcohol markers are because I layered the markers a lot. Hope this helps! :)

  • @realname638
    @realname638 Před rokem

    I think it would be more helpful if you labeled the colors you used as what they correspond with (i.e. showing the reference number to the color and labeling it as base, base blush, light blush, shadow etc)
    I just think that would make it easier to follow along and helpful for those who use the same markers as you.

    • @SketchingwithRabbits
      @SketchingwithRabbits  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you! By brush pens, is there a specific type in mind? I used the Arteza alcohol markers in this video which are chisel & fine tipped, but using alcohol brush pens for this technique would be much easier! Let me know what brush pens you're describing and I will see what I can do!

      @@SketchingwithRabbits thank you for answering me. I am talking about the Amazon dual blendable brush pens (the 24 brush pens pack)

    • @SketchingwithRabbits
      @SketchingwithRabbits  Před 3 lety +1

      Alright - got it! Those brush pens are water based, so these methods wouldn't work with those, but I did release a "How to Blend with Watercolor Brush Pens" that includes some tips that would apply to those markers. I'll still look into these types of pens and see if I can create a tutorial video for those!
