I made a cool Hotrod - Matchbox Superfast Model A. In todays video I do a custom build on a matchbox model A casting that was donated. I did a little bit of everything on this build and came up with a new way to tint glass on diecast customs or restorations. let me know what you thought and what might you name this one?

It would be awesome but they’re too busy making fast & the furious cars over & over again, Japanese cars, & ridiculous fantasy cars. God forbid they make more hot rods & drag cars in the mainline for kids & grown ups to enjoy.

So many things to like about this. The upside down, highboy grill would have looked good but that 32 Chevy grill with the center light bar is definitely the bees knees. What an amazing ole timey hot rod with amazing modern paint. Salute.

@@Jay-jb2vr It's been a while, so I don't remember exactly what, but he did a video or post saying goodbye about a year ago. That has since been taken down. Then several months ago, he accidentally uploaded a video while he was going through old stuff on his channel. That post has also since been removed. Anyway, when he announced he was leaving, it was due to money. He said he was going back to a real job because YT just wasn't paying the bills. He had a great channel. I go back every now and then to rewatch his old videos. It's disappointing because he was great at what he did and was entertaining. He's definitely missed. I thinks most of his subs are hoping that he may make a triumphant return some day. I know I am.

Great car.These are the videos I enjoy. The customization of a car or truck other than just a paint job. When you build four door pickups or VW trailer and tow car from picture are my favourite type of videos. Keep them coming no matter what you do.

Ah Matchbox Superfast, now you're speaking my language! I did a roof chopped version of this Model A now so long ago, nice upright posts made life easy. If you need a grille in future, Lledo model As are near identical as Jack O'Dell (Lledo backwards) set up the company after leaving Matchbox. Another fix I've used is a dressmaker's pin with the round plastic head, file one side flat and you have a replacement headlight. Best version of this casting to use is the earliest cream colour one as it has a nicely detailed rumble seat and textured roof insert, the black hot rod one lost a bit of definition. Nice hot rod by the way...

So glad to see some respect given to the "six" - I think a good name would be _The Valencia Six_ - Valencia for the type of oranges and six obviously for the six cylinder. As much as I do not like white wall tires I think nice big walls would be boss on that car. I'd likely build a hot-rod like that since it would mainly be used for getting a milkshake at the drive-in and cruisin the boulevard - I'm too old to be thrown in jail for racing ;-) besides everyone seems to put a small block V-8's in T-buckets and model A's - I'm down for something different....
good plan. How about that halved V-8 by Pontiac? what was the car, catalina? I keep forgetting. add some big ass headers out one side and everybody will be like, "wait, something's missing here..." :)

Cool casting. Needed some gleegleeg in my world... Good call on the inline. Looks like with a little scratch building you could build a sweet little stove bolt out of that motor.
