My father also has an open field for his chickens and one night while raining I saw a mother chicken cuddling her chicks inside her warm wings to protect them from predators and the cold. The field was surrounded by trees but sadly she couldn't go up because of her babies.

I lost my mom 15years ago to blood cancer, every year mothersday passes by without me notice...but there is not a single day I wish i still have my mom with me. Thanks to my mom I had a wonderful beloved childhood. What I wanna say is "Enjoy every moment with your loving mother as much as you can"

She's been sick for 12 years
Even my dad doesn't give a darn about to her illness. But she STILL is my best friend and will always be. I agree ): My mom is literally the best person I’ve ever known - she’s never yelled at me or underestimated me, and she’s always been there for me. Every day she makes me feel like the opposite of a burden. She’s happy & not afraid to be silly, too. I feel so comfortable around her. Finding out how awful some other people’s moms are hits hard, cuz she is such an important figure in my life.

The fact that so many comments mention how their mother wasn't really a mother beyond the genetic definition, or how she was toxic, truly makes me thankful for mine. She's not perfect and can be awfully toxic as well, but when I was younger she was always there fore me. And I was a little shit of a kid lol. I hope anyone who wasn't provided with that has found it in other places, and is doing ok. Hats off to all the mothers, and also to all the people who do the work a mother should have.

@Asra I got a parrot 2 years ago, he helped me through a rough patch. He gave me something to look forward to, something to live for. Maybe try getting a pet, or even feeding flocks of pigeons, stray cats or other animals in need, it gives you something to look forward to and lets you have something that loves and needs you.
Just a suggestion from a once useless person to a bird-addicted weirdo with too many pets, hope it helps.

Mothers are so important. It sucks that so many of them don't deserve the title, they aren't even human anymore with how shit they are with their kids. It's so common too but anyone outside just says "That's still your mother!" These people don't know anything about the emotional abuse horrible mothers have weaponized over the years but since emotional pain can't be seen or proven, they just side with the mom. So many children hurt, left in the rain, dying unloved because of bad mothers. I hope we all can find mother figures that can teach us that love is real, that good exists because bad mothers have stolen that faith from their kids.

I'm now imagining the chick didn't clean his room (do chicks even have rooms?) or didn't finish his dinner seeds, so the hen punished him by sending him outside in the rain. But she ended up having pity so she went to call out the punishement early. So in the video he cries in joy, and jumps to his mother's neck screaming he'll always clean his room and eat his seeds from now on, and he's so sorry. So Mother's happy (she was scared he would be angry).
Of course the next day he still dosen't want to clean his room though. :p

I don't know what this is doing in my recommendations six years later. But to anyone with a mom that didn't provide care like the video suggests: she's human, too, and you don't owe her anything. The title of "mother" (or father, for that matter) doesn't give her a free-for-all to treat you any one way she sees fit, and still expect you to carry out a relationship with her in return. Whether she was abusive, narcissistic, and/or she simply didn't provide for you in the way you hoped, just know you're not alone.
I just saw a lot of comments saying moms were the best, they do everything for us, etc. etc. and I wanted to acknowledge that that isn't always the case. Sure as hell wasn't for me. To anyone who doesn't get along with their mom, I hope you're able to find people who give you the care and respect that you couldn't get from her.

Not all parents are like this. Love and respect is earned, not demanded. In some cases, a person wishes their frienda were their family instead. May these people find peace and love within and the people they care about. 💖
I'm sorry, I don't want to sound rude or anything, I just want to understand you better, but if "love and respect are earned", then, what did I do to deserve my parents' love? They are the ones who gave birth to me, so I should love them, but not the other way around because I haven't done anything for them. Or if a stranger pushes you violently for no reason, it shouldn't be considered an offence because you haven't done anything to earn that stranger's respect as far as the stranger is concerned.

There will always be another mother for you.
For example, my best friend has never met her real mother.
But she was still the best person I knew.
Then, when she got put into Foster care, she met a motherly figure.
My friend thought she was only going to stay with this carer for a few months before she (the carer) got bored of her (my friend).
Next thing you know, out of 8 other siblings in that Foster Home, 5 years later, my friend's one of the most loved children in that family.
Remember, there's always a motherly figure for you.

Nope... Not everyone get's a mother. And that is also okay. I never had one (my biological one was horrible) but I have Friends and a wonderful partner. It's okay.

My mom and I always loved each other but our family was very poor. We lived in the slums and (when I was 5) one day she got into an argument with my dad for the very purpose of me having a better future and left the house to live with my aunt which was pretty far from where we lived (our only relative). A few days later we had heard that my aunt’s house had burned down and that there were 2 bodies found dead in the house. This made me very depressed but made my dad very focused on our future. A week later we went abroad and today I’m living in a prestige school in UK with my successful dad who is making a living out of his job and business. I miss you mom, please know that dad’s hard work payed off, and it’s because of your sacrifice for us. Thank you so much for everything, I will always love you.
