  • There have been lots of questions on Twitter and Instagram recently about what I am up to in 2022, so here is an update for you on my two ongoing projects: finishing writing the Bradt Travel Guide to Tunisia (1st Edition), and kayaking the longest river in Madagascar from source to sea - hopefully setting a new Guinness World Record. Enjoy!

    Hi!
Thank you so much for being with us in the last two years.
Hope you have enjoyed my beloved ❤️TENAST❤️
That’s the original name of Tunisia and it means the key in Tamazight language.
Thank you again for showing all this hidden treasure.
I’ve enjoyed watching all your videos.
Good luck on your next expedition to Madagascar.
    ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for following along, but don't worry, I will be here for a few more months yet, finishing off my work. I will also return to Tunisia later in 2022 (or maybe in 2023) for the book launch. Lots of talks and public events lined up for then!

Planning on overlanding Tunisia after retirement in a few years….looking forward to get my hands on your travel guide, I am sure it will be an amazing companion. Great job!

Got back from Tunisia last week after an 8 day trip. Had a whistle stop tour of Djerba and stayed in Ksar Ghilane! Planning a Mareth trip.

If you are planning a Mareth trip, be sure to watch our video of hiking the Mareth Line.

Will one of your videos cover stopping and eating at one of those roadside barbecues? I'd love to see you take us through the process and explain it in detail. I've only done it once and it was difficult to know how much to order.

This is a great idea! We'll have to see if I find myself out on the road at some stage in the next few months before the kayaking trip!

How u communicate with Tunisians ; English is the third language of Tunisia after Arabic and French. And we are not (except the youth) very fluent . Did you get some communication problems ?

I speak French and Italian, which has worked in 99% of cases where people do not speak English.
