    Glad I found your channel bro. Out of all the upgrade videos I have seen on CZcams you are the best. Also can you make an upgrade video about the Draconic Rage precon. Can't wait for your next video

      Glad you've been enjoying the builds! Sadly, at this time I do not have enough time to tackle older precons, but maybe in the future this is something I can tackle.

    I would highly suggest making two replacements to add both mobile garrison to keep even more of your vehicles untapped after combat and Dermotaxi to get a vehicle copy of the best creature in a graveyard which also allows for the bonus vehicle synergies. Drum bellower also works as something to keep in so you can consistently crew your vehicles to defend yourself after a vigilant swing.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Před 2 lety +1

      Good suggestions! I can see Mobile Garrison being good to keep blockers up, buts is low stats may make it tricky to keep alive during the initial swing. Dermotaxi is certainly fun to keep as a means to being back the biggest creature in the bin working for us, and Drum Bellower - while cut from this build - still does good work in keeping our pilots up at least.

    I happened to get an unwinding clock in one of my set booster packs for Kamigawa so that seems like a solid fit for this deck. I may swap a few out that you did because after a few games I definitely felt they didn't do a whole lot, so thanks a ton for these budget upgrades!

    Hey Grazzet!
    I'm new to MTG and your upgrades have been really wonderful for this deck.
    In terms of your "further upgrades" section, what would you replace in the deck with Fabricate and Arcum?

  • @NickChambers
    @NickChambers Před 2 lety +1

    I really like these upgrades! In fact, I like them so much I just bought the upgrades. However, I did make a couple of switch outs. I like to put Ao dawn sky in there for relatively good cmc vs benefits, and the double benefit of when it dies you get +2/+2 on your entire mech and pilot fleet. I also like brilliant restoration as a late stage come back from a board wipe.

    • @NickChambers
      @NickChambers Před 2 lety

      Also, what do you think the power level of the deck with the upgrades is?

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Před 2 lety +1

      Good suggestions! Ao and Brilliant Restoration would make decent additions to the build - the former to either cheat some of our cheaper pilots/vehicles into play or power up our vehicles upon death, and the latter to keep us in the game on after a while tears up our vehicles.
      Regarding power-level - I would rank this build between a 4 - 5 in its current state (most decks on this channel tend to hang around that power level).

    REPORT TO BASE, REPORT TO BASE! We have successfully Buckled The F*ck Up and are ready for testing and making actual Voltron for once! Good job, Grazzet! Keep'em up!
    My vote goes for Hinata, since the build is a bit spicier and flavourful than The Literal and Basic Value Engine that is the Reality Chip, and Mr. Satoru "This Eldrazi is a Ninja, I promise" Umezawa.

    IMO best and cheapest upgrade for this deck is swap Kotori with Shorikai

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Před 2 lety +1

      Shorikai certainly makes the deck a more value focused build, but I think the meka deserves its own deck tech (which we may see further down the line).

    I recently found your channel and I’m a big fan, I’d like to drop a couple questions and suggestions
    - in the playlist section the cut-commander crimson vow is actually named cute-commander, it’s cute but wrong 😜
    - how would you rate your decks against each other and against the precons? I’d like to build a couple decks from your lists but I’m afraid they might be a little too strong for my playgroup (currently playing unupgraded spirit squadron precon and I’m still undefeated)
    - I couldn’t find a definition for “cut-commanders” in the early videos, are they meant to be middle of the road from precons to competitive?
    I’m new to magic and commander, maybe it’s something most viewers already figured out by themselves
    Thanks!

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Před 2 lety

      Glad that you've been enjoying the content!
      The Playlist for Crimson Vow has been renamed correctly this time - thanks for the heads up!
      In testing, I have found that most of the Cut-Rate Commander builds tend to be well matched against each other and can still be played against unmodified precons but may have a edge against them.
      Regarding "Cut-Rate Commanders" - its just the name that I decided to go with for the series, as it primarily focused on building decks around relatively low priced commanders and it certainly sounds a lot better than "cheap".
      Hope that answers all your questions!

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for voting! Isshin, Two Heavens as One is certainly a potent "attack-harmonicon" and is a bit different then some other's we've seen as he also triggers permanents that care about attacking, which is quite interesting.

      I would love to make a build for her, but at this rate it looks like she'll have to take the silver spot to the The Reality Chip. Still, even if she doesn't win now, she is certainly popular enough to earn a spot in future polls - so stay tuned!

    Awesome video. But there is only 1 arguable card, mindlink mech that card is good but in this deck it gives almost nothing since MM cant copy legendaries. Few static abilities and more etb or triggered abilities. It has flying so some evasion but overall MM ability is not so good in this deck. Lionsash is a good candidate, cheap artifact creature with graveyard hate ability AND if you use it for crew then you can attach for a much bigger hit.
    Overall a fine and awesome deck. Thank you the video

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Před 2 lety +1

      Fair points - The argument could be made that Mindlink Mech isn't good enough and that their aren't enough effects that doubling up. Lionsash would be a fine addition, since it provides cheap graveyard hate and, if it grow's big enough, can serve as a solid statboost for a crewed vehicle for only 2 mana. Good suggestions!

    If we had 10-20 dollars to upgrade what would be the important pick ups?

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Před rokem

      With about $10, I would say picking up Fabricate ($5.50) and Arcum Dagsson ($5.25) would go along way to boost the builds constancy by letting tutor up our most powerful vehicles directly to hand, and with another $10 - Reaver Titan ($4.20), Nautiloid Ship ($4.20) and Thunderhawk Gunship ($2.00) are all very solid vehicles to consider adding in to upgrade the current roster.
      Hope that helps!

    Wondering if the face commander would be better or the alt

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Před 2 lety +2

      Shorikai, Genesis Engine is probably more powerful to be honest, but only if you want to take the build in less of a vehicle direction and more of a value direction. For pure vehicles, especially big vehicles, I would say that Kotori, Pilot Prodigy would be the better choice (In my opinion).

      @GrazzetMTG  Před 2 lety

      It should (both commanders are quite similar as to what would work with them) though it might not be quite as optimal (I have not tested with Shorika at the helm, so I am not 100% sure).
