This is a wonderful concept for a print exhibition. The WPA has always fascinated me. About 15 years ago I spent a week doing research at the National Archives on WPA artists (I was only able to find male artists). It was wonderful to see the WPA committee selection and approval process they used along with their notes and markups on the rough sketches. Many of the preliminary sketches were available, Paul Cadmus roughs were the most fascinating based on the committee’s severe censorship of his rough drafts. Is there a catalog for this exhibit?
