- If you forgot your password or PIN (or password is not working) to your Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ or S22 smartphone then I show you how to factory reset it. Don't forget with a factory reset you will lose all your personal settings, photos, videos, etc.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU HAD A GOOGLE ACCOUNT (GMAIL) SYNCED TO YOUR S22 YOU WILL NEED TO REMEMBER THE GMAIL ALONG WITH ITS PASSWORD TO COMPLETE SETUP AFTER THE FACTORY RESET.

1. Plug a USB to your PC/Laptop and to your phone.
2. Then Press and Hold Power and Volume Up
(Phone will Shut down and shows charging symbol)
3. Press and Hold Power and Volume Up
If this doesn't work use a diffrent USB ! Your PC has to make a sound (recognise).
Worked for me. Tried everything else. Use a original Samsung or USB 3.0+ Cable.
Check if your PC is connected to Internet also.
You are a life saver! Lol. My Samsung s21 was completely glitched, would not let me into my phone even with the correct password, and the voice activation made you login before reset which it would just lag. Glad I could do it worked first time, restarted it and everything's good
It's fine. Put in a USB cable to laptop as if I'm going to adb mode. Went straight to it. This phone was going black in about 7 seconds then holding vol up and letting go at logo it just booted . Thought I was going mad. Done many phones with custom rooms over the years. Cheers for the vol up switching info. Not had a Samsung in a while

Called Samsung before I saw your video, but she wasn’t of any help. She basically told me I can just send the defective phone back and they will reset it for me, with all my messages and personal info still in it! 😳

Thank you for this for some reason my password on my phone wasn't working and when I tried like 5 other video methods to do it to no avail I settled on your video for the factory reset. Just a quick note for anyone who has to deal with this with me now or is lucky enough to not have gone through it yet, turn on remote unlock in smart settings, lets you log onto your Samsung account anywhere, and unlock your phone. Would've saved me the pain of losing my shit, and maybe it will actually be useful to someone else in the future.
I have it turned off.and now it asks password after restart. Cant go to hard reset it restarts and stil takes me to the lock screen

works like a charm. MAKE SURE YOU LOG INTO YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT ON THE PHONE BEFOREHAND. If someone elses google account is logged in and you dont know the password, youre screwed

Anyone that is still struggling, ensure your phone is plugged to a charger. I was trying and it kept taking me back to lock screen, but once you plug charger in. it works like a charm

Mine only has power off and restart in the centre and when it buzzes and Samsung comes on its still in locked mode and says flight mode at the top instead of no sim!
I've tried it cable in, cable out. If I try and turn it off on the button it asks for the pattern. But when I hold the volume down middle button it just resets it. It goes black like yours did but the Samsung logo comes back immediately. There isn't chance to wait 15 seconds
I plugged mine into a computer or laptop and did this method and it worked perfectly after a few attempts. :)

During the setup of my new S22 ultra, I must have been super excited that I missed when it asked me to set up a pin and didn't recognize what the heck I was doing because I was locked out as soon as the phone restarted. Locked out and was unable to use the phone for a day. Countless hours on the phone line with Spectrum and Samsung trying to get it unlocked finally ut hit me like a ton of bricks 'why not Google it, duh?'.
The phone was unlocked and ready for use after only 5 minutes of watching your video. Yay!!!!!!!! Thank you again

When I was charging my phone I had my power savings on and Im pretty sure that's what's not letting me reset my phone, can you check on that or am I doing something wrong.

So how is that a factory reset if you wanna sell the phone and you have to have a Gmail account and password I mean I don’t know about you but I use the same Gmail and same password for quite a bit of my stuff and if so I have to give that up for someone to use the phone I mean what’s the point it’s not a factory reset it sounds like a half ass factory reset to me the factory reset means that you the phones brand new correct me if I’m wrong so how do you get past that
First connect your Phone with USB (regular usb port no usb-c) to a computer. While connected you will be able to do the trick as show in the video.

I'm having trouble setting up my S22+. I did not write down my pass word for WiFi. If I use the factory reset option will i be able to create a new pass word? If not how do erase all the pass words and start over? Thank you for your videos.

If I have another phone can I add the same email but change the password 🤔? Then try to sign in with the new password... will that work? This was a promo buy S22U and get the s22 free. Now my sister needs a phone and I don't remember the password 🙄! Thank you👑

Thank you very much. I did not feel like waiting for the next or 8 hours to do my 20th attempt just so the device could do a factory reset. This took less than a minute. Thank God I have everything back up On Gmail and other accounts. I guess the clouds that we pay for our work something.

U need a charging cable that is data sync compatible. Try a diff cable.

My S22 refused to accept what I thought was the correct pin (I usually use fingerprint) after several attempts and then started to set a time delay for the next attempt. Tried your method in this video but the phone won't even power off, it just reboots back to the PIN entry screen. Seems to be a 'feature' that you can't factory reset when you've forgotten the PIN or maybe the phone is actually broken in some way. Going back to the shop to see what they can do.
I took the phone back to the Samsung shop and after showing proof of purchase (from EE) they reset the phone at a cost of £25, this took 4 minutes. To reinstall the apps from backup the phone required a PIN so I entered the one I'd tried a few hours before and several times before that and it worked fine!

No but cable needs to be data sync compatible
That doesn't work now. The Google FRP kicks in and none of the ways to bypass that work on an S22 Ultra!
