I love how he just stands there and lets the music flow out. No grand gesticulating or chest puffing to show "what great effort" he's going through to reach the notes; just beautiful perfection. ❤
Absolutely! Pure powerful vocal projection only, without the “agonized” exaggerated pained facial expressions - like “it hurts to do this.” He makes it look perfectly easy, as he does in every performance he does.
Yeah, that describes a narcissist…..😕 the talent/ gifting is there but the “handicap” (being a narcissist) takes away from the gift. But Bocelli can pull it off without the distraction. He is amazing!!❤️
These comments are ridiculous. The chest puffing has to do with breath control. Opera singers of the highest calibre open their lungs and use the diaphragm as much as possible. You will see this with Jussi Björling who had the finest breath control that I have witnessed. The gestures they use are their own expression of the song. This is not showing off, it is the techniques of mastery. If you knew ANYTHING about opera you would understand that there are no narcissists. These artists practice every single day to improve themselves and they are their own worst critics. Bocelli is not technically the best, there are many singers who are superior in enunciation, in power and in breath control, but his tone is gorgeous, especially in the lower register, and his singing warms the heart. He radiates goodness. I earned my Fine Arts degree with a Major in Opera at Oklahoma City University and let me assure you, those pained expressions from opera singers are the emotional interpretations of the lyrics, not pretend suffering. BTW, opera singing is INCREDIBLY difficult and physically taxing. Singers have burst blood vessels in their throats, and strained their vocal chords to the point of ruination.
He most certainly DOES NOT just stand there and let it "flow out"! This is years and years of training "flowing out". His chest is not as lifted (puffy)because he is not fully engaging his diaphragm, this is a technical weakness he possesses.

Regardless of the Pavarotti comparisons(keep in mind each voice is different, not better, at the top of the game), this made me tear up near the end, when the audience spontaneously applauds, with some singing still left to come. They just could not help themselves. When a man(tenor) has a voice like this, live, in a crowd, it is overwhelming and goes through your spirit and soul, as an audience member. It is a spiritual thing, literally. Lucky for these audience members. We can only gather a glimpse of this experience here, watching this in a little square on our screens here, regardless of the speakers. There is zero comparison between hearing this live and making judgements from a little youtube box remotely in space and time at that. The audience members erupting even before it was finished speaks for itself. They say it all. Nothing more needs to be said.

There were critics who said that he was weak from the beginning in Turandot starting with "mio padre!"

Quite possibly the best voice ever....
Michael Waters Two words Luciano Pavarotti
I Didn't realize there was so many Italian greats. Bless his heart. Truly a God given gift.
Try Corelli for size
@@xxsaruman82xx87 Wow! Another genius at his craft. Thanks
@@vwiggins9797 You're welcome!
one of the greatest voices ever.
Hahaha pavarotti, Bjorling, corelli, caruso
@@omerkaymak5710 Emotions man, emotions.. ;) Range and power is not everything. For example I appreciate Pavarotti but he never give me same chills like Bocelli.
This always brings me to tears.. :) The power of music
Absolutely magnificent, bravo andrea
I always think of my dad when i listen to this Opera. I miss my dad so much thanks Andrea
Likewise, my dad loved this, especially the end.
@@neilf.anderson thanks
god I love Boceli's voice
I cry when I hear him sing this and I have no idea why.
Oh my goodness same here, I’m trying not to cry 😢
❤️ beautiful. Just love this glorious aria and with non other than the great Bocelli. Thank you
OMG!!!!!! That was incredible!!!!!!!
I LITERALLY just got chills
I like to give this a spin every couple of months to make sure the old tear ducts are still working. For me, this is beauty in it’s purest form.
I wept. Then I kept going.
Thank you for posting this.
the best rendition of the most beautiful song ever written!
You simply won't find a finer interpretation of this arya. Just look at him singing his soul out.
His singing touches my soul
Greatness!❤️ I like Boccelli because I can understand every words he sings!
I first heard this when Shizuku Arakawa skated to it in her gold medal winning free skate at the 2006 Winter Olympics. I fell in love with it even though it was only the instrumental version. The 2018 Winter Olympics was the first Olympics where figure skaters were allowed to have lyrics in the music. I love it instrumentally and I love hearing it sung. I see many comments about the instruments over powering his voice. I just love it.
This should be the celebratory song when the world beats the Covid-19 pandemic.
Wish I could give you a million thumbs up! Couldn't agree more my friend 🙂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌✌
This should be the song that plays when the sun creeps the window after COVID, every morning!
Wish I could give you a hug for this... absolutely right👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😍😍😍😍😌
@@angieo.5745 It's time for social distancing... 😂... Just kidding... Consider ur hug successful..👍.. #Stay safe

I imagine this song playing the moment I meet God face to face at my last breath and I know that everything that happened in my life was all worth it and not in vain and brought me to Him.

I can never moved be emotionally moved the way that music does. Music like this just brings tears to my eyes and more fuel for the passion I have for music. I can never regret being a Music Major.
Kevin the first line of that comment was cancer.
Same here
This music has greag effect on mind and soul
Divino! Sensacional.
Thank you for your divine voice and inspiration. You help us survive. 🌼🌺🌸
Thank you very much!
Respect your lifetime.
Amazing Bocelli, orchestra and the composition. All in one, that's I see.
Incredible!so beautiful 💐

Love love love your performance Andrea!
