"I get around it by not going on holiday " I laughed then I was sad because I know that feeling.
Hahahahaha awh I made myself sad.
A pro not mentioned in the video:
many babies are actually allergic to disposable nappies and _have_ to use cloth nappies.
everyone in my family and every close family friend i know has always used cloth nappies for their babies and never had issues as far as i'm aware
I don't have a baby and I aint married.
But I watched the video because of Klaire .😊 The baby is cute.
Same! I'm also child-free, so... Absolutely no reason for me to watch it, except for the fact that it's a Klaire's video.
Never plans on having kids
Watches anyways because it's Klaire
I’m 21 and have no baby. Don’t plan on having one for a while.
I still watched the whole thing lol. Anything with zero waste, I’m interested in
I enjoy these videos so much,( even though I don't have a child and am also not planning one for really long time if ever) they're so calming
I feel the same. I don't have kids and have no need to watch these types of videos, I still love watching them.
Same here! I one day plan to have a child. Not for a least another decade (as I am 22 and the idea of having a child in my twenties right now is literally terrifying and I have a very good feeling I'll have severe postpartum depression). So, what I do is I watch all these videos ranging from women's experience during their pregnancy to child birth and to well then afterwards. How they deal with teething, nappies, how they use more natural homemade products versus store bought. It helps put my mind at ease and brings me at least in the smallest bit closer to feeling more comfortable with the idea of having a child.
klaire is such an eco-friendly person, i love it
Would you ever make a video on reusable sanitary pads? They sound like an amazing option compared to disposable ones but I’m afraid of the process of washing and the risk of the smell
Yes, I will.
@@KlairedeLysOfficial If it is as good as this video I am certainly looking forward to it!
Have you tried a cup? I loved mine (Divacup) and used it for 10+ years
I use them. I'll never go back. I've had to use disposables in a pinch and it's horrible for my skin.
I use period underwear, which are like reusable sanitary pads but in an underwear. I do have to hand wash them every evening and night which really doesn’t take too long, around 10 minutes? Rinse them through with just water and then either chuck them in the washing machine or thoroughly wash them through with soap meant for hand washing delicate clothing. in terms of the smell, I don’t find that there’s any smell while wearing them although during the washing process it can smell a bit metallic but it usually isn’t too bad on medium flow days. I hope this helped :)
Sun bleaching is magic with cloth nappies.
This was a great video for anyone wanting to try cloth nappies, it really isn‘t as hard as I initially thought and I’m glad I used them for my little ones.
To save money for wipes i bought cheap face cloths from Ikea. They also doubled up as extra liners when i ran out of them.
I like that your videos are so calm. Your character seems that way and I love it! Calm, not yelling around, hyper active, full of advertisement. Not that Faster, higher, further stuff that most youtuber or at least many popular German youtubers do. Your voice is so calming and nice to hear. Your baby is so lucky to be able to listen to such an amazing voice singing and talking. Thank you for being such an inspiring person to me and many others!
i love the idea of only keeping things in your house that make you happy. i also suffer from depression and it truly is the smallest things that can help and make a difference in your mood and happiness. :)
That bumblebee nappy story was the cutest thing 💕💕💕
I have no child and no intention of having one but I still watched this whole video because you made it so interesting. Your video was so detailed, you answered a lot of questions while explaining everything so eloquently. Thanks for the tip, as a depressed person I'm going to surround myself more with things I enjoy using or looking at! You're a superwoman Klaire, Potato is so lucky to have you as his mother.
You are the reason I started this journey. My son is almost 3 and I have saved a ton! You have no idea how much you helped.
I haven't had any notifications of your videos from this year. So I guess I haven't seen your videos in 3 years. I missed your videos
This is what frustrates me so much about CZcams at the moment (other than having all my makeup tutorials demonetized because they weren't advertiser-friendly). What's the point of having a subscribe button if it doesn't work?
I'm going to focus on building up the mailing list from now on I think. Much more reliable.
@@KlairedeLysOfficial I stopped seeing any update from your makeup channel too and I thought it was just you getting on with life. I didn't realise YT demonetised your videos! Why would they be considered not advertiser friendly?!
Very informative. I dont have kids but I do like the idea of reusable products!
Thanks so much for all of this great information! I am nowhere near having a baby at this time in my life, but I totally want to use cloth for my child. I have also been using cloth menstrual pads for years, and they are just the best! Thanks again! I love your videos!
You've sold me. I'm into being natural but when it comes to sanitary wear and nappies. Nopes. I wasn't budging. Now I just need a baby. The nappies are gorgeous too!! Thank you for this.
I love these lifestyle videos!!! I’m learning so much and, as usual, your way of explaining things is so precise but relaxing at the same time. I’ve watched your videos for YEARS and I’m so happy that you’re continuing to make more ☺️
I dont have children myself but i have baby niece so i found this really interesting to watch, also, i love how you call poo explosions "poonamies", bloody brilliant😂😂
We call them poosplosions in our house :D
OMG I used to watch your TY clips all the time years ago but couldn't remember the name of your channel and just came across your channel again from this video. ❤❤ congratulations on bub. I struggled a lot with mental health and watching your vids made me feel better.
I'm an old time viewer of yours, i iwatched your channel a lot in high school. I was lucky enough to re-find your channel and im blown away. You share so much more than what i remmember and your a happy mum. Happy late congratulations! Your channel is so lovely im going to enjoy binging and re-getting to know you
I thought you sound just the klaire who's make up I used to watch many years ago. Then I lost that I'd. And now suddenly I realized it is you!!! So glad to see you again.
Sorry this video is late, I'd filmed it earlier this week but wasn't happy with it in the end and re-filmed yesterday. I'm much happier with this version! Cleaner and more to the point.

I don't have kids.
Me and my husband don't plan on having them.
Then I see this video from Klaire.
I watch it from beginning to end and learn about the subject XD
Also, what a wholesome video ♥ And I don't even want children ever. I just enjoy your style of videos, whatever topic.
I felt the same way! No little monster for me, ever but the way she presents her content is so pleasing that you can't help but watch whatever the topic is and the shots of Potato was just magical!
aww congrats on being a mummy Klaire! your nappy collection is very cute, definitely sparks joy
I love your videos. They are beautiful to watch, informative and your voice is soothing. I know you hear this all the time but I had to say it once again. 💙
Oh my. I have watched your last videos but didn't realize it was you! With this one as I saw the thumbnail it finally hit me! I've been following this channel for at least 7 years and have always loved your art, your horns tutorials where such an inspiration for young me. I used your techniques for my own art multiple times. And seeing you again brought me way back, to a litlle warm place all those years ago where your peacfull and creative content made me so happy and inspired to keep trying to make my own art and try new mediums. I don't quite know why I'm writing this comment, but, thank you so much for all the happy memories and I wish you all the best for your life and your cute adorable baby ! Much love!
Ps: I hope you have someone or something that gives you this warm nostalgic feeling as you gave me so you can get through the hard times.
I'm so happy I found you again XD
WHEN DID YOU HAVE A BABY!?
EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS
Where have you been 😂
Well 10 months ago it seems 😂😉
She uploaded a video on klairedelysart, it's called "where have I been" I think
Follow her on Instagram, she posts very frequently! @simply.klaire
Very interesting video. If I ever have a baby in the future I would love to try these out because I hate the thought of the disposables going to landfill when you can reuse these ☺️ thanks for the content!
Thank you for the additional info on your blog, and I would love to see a video on cloth pads as well! The video is so beautifully shot and informative, I'm glad you're sharing your wealth of information and experience with us!
I'll do a video about them soon. I can't rave about them enough! Any other requests?
@@KlairedeLysOfficial I'd love to know if you've made anything for your little one? You're so creative it would be great to see if you've made any clothes, toys, baby products (moisturiser etc) or nursery artwork for example :)
Andy M cloth paths are the best! I’ve been using them for a couple of years and I’ll never let them go. It feels like you have your underwear.
Hope that Klaire makes one about them too!
This video is so well structured I would watch it again. Thanks for the info Klaire!
I've been binge watching old videos of yours on both channels-- such nostalgia!
Well, I'm definitely giving cloth nappies a try now.
I love, love, LOVE your simplyklaire content!
Thanks for this. Was looking at reusable nappies and couldn't picture how they work or the economics of them. Glad to hear of your recovery too, take care.
your voice is SO soothing. I'm going to binge watch videos now haha
your voice is so calming & the video really informative and so well made! love all the different and cute shots! i now feel a bit better prepared for the baby/babies that i don't even know i will have in the future 😂
I know this is an old video but still a tip for viewers, have about twice the amount of inserts if you use natural fiber inserts, the pockets dry really fast, but then you have to wait for the liners to dry, if you have double, you can stuff the pockets with the inserts from the previous load, and save the current drying inserts for the next load
Also personal note, you saying the nappies make you happy, is exactly how I feel! But it is also the reason why I will probably not save a penny, it now has almost become a hobby to build my prettiest dream stash, but it makes me happy 🥰 (I buy the cheapest pockets, and second hand, so there's that)
This video is so wholesome 🥺♥️ I love one of your bittersweet reason for using cloth nappies being depression, I 100% understand that. Such an insightful video 🥰
Your baby is absolutely beautiful! I'm having my own baby in October and have wanted to use cloth nappies since before I got pregnant, so this video is SO helpful. Thank you!!!
My son had terrible eczema. I switched to cloth and I loved them. All the pros you mentioned are reasons I loved them.
I will watch anything you make klaire. I enjoyed it alot. ♥️
Ahhh! I can't believe I found your new channel! I used to be subbed to KDLart, but accidentally got unsubscribed and never realized it until this new channel of yours popped up on my feed! :D
I love this! Thanks for your super honest review. You're very organized :) side note, reusable sanitary pads are amazing too!!!!!!!
I am nowhere close to having a baby but I just found this so fascinating! your voice is so soothing as always :D
I looove this look into your life. Also love the “no, don’t do that” look at potato in the video lol
Your videos are Joy for me!
Amazing thank you so much, love the genuine video. Getting frustrated with all the fake Disney style videos for new parents, but yours is perfect. All the best
First time seeing this and i was like "is that klairedelystart?" Omg i didn't she had a babyy soo cutee. What a beautiful woman 😍💗💕💕 this is such a treat 💗
It's been so long since I've watched your videos, Klaire! I, unfortunately, don't have any other sources of notification of this channel other than CZcams. I always loved watching your tutorials and DIY, and I still love this channel! I'm late on a lot of things, but I still try to stay up to date on as much as I can.
If you want you can follow the mailing list if you want so that any new videos get sent straight to your email.
I tried so hard to like cloth diapers but just couldn't, laundry is not a hate for me but I now live in a situation where I have to pay to wash and that can get expensive, especially now that I have two boys, luckily one is potty trained. I'm so glad they are working out for you klaire! Your baby boy is so precious:)
Wonderful video , thank you as a first time mum I need all the advise I can get.
Such a lovely video 💕 our babies are (or should have been!) a similar age I think, my girl came 2 months early though so she's only 14lb and 1 year old (she was 2lb10oz when born!). I tried cloth nappies, got on fine with them and loved it but my daughter's physiotherapist felt the cloth nappies were hindering her development. The reason was because she was SO tiny and the cloth nappies were bulky, she just didn't have the strength to attempt to move much however the disposables are so thin she found it easier to move her legs. She's now sitting up and standing (aided) at the moment, developmentally she's a bit behind but such a happy girl, just needs more time to grow 😍 So envious you're able to use the washable nappies though, so satisfying to know you're doing good by using them. Love what you said about not going on holiday 😂👍 xx
answered all the questions I had without even asking .... awesome video
Thank you very much for the upload. You answered all of the questions I had.
Glad to hear it :)
Yes get that 10 minute advertiser friendly video, i love your skill and the care you take with your videos, its always a joy to watch them, even if im very aro/ace single and petrified of ever being pregnant and having a baby, i still enjoy your videos all about the baby things, and it was so beautifully shot and i could almost smell the baby smell when potato was up close with the camera 🥰 kudos on yet another fantastic film Klaire, and im joining the others in the comments asking for videos on cloth pads (I'm a menstrual cup user myself but maybe for lighter days🤔but urgh more laundry), and anything else, partner with BetterHelp and talk about depression. About only having things that spark joy, about moving, about decorating a house, the diys youve made. I love the way you talk about everything so please just upload🥰
Thank you so much for this video so useful! Keep up the great work.
I really wish I had had this video and these options when I was making babies. Thank you for putting this content out there.
I've been using cloth diapers for about 2 months now and I love it! Still working on how we want to use the cloth wipes. But I'm sure it'll be a similar feeling.
Hi, I enjoyed your video, very good info and also i found your voice soft and easy to listen to 🙂
I’m refreshing myself on washable nappies after a 7 year gap of using with baby number 3 on the way! Really looking forward to using them again as found it quite therapeutic last time :)
I absolutely love your videos!! ❤️
Glad to hear it :D
Thanks for this! Putting together a wishlist and was quite keen to try reusable nappies as I use period pants and found them much better than pads and tampons.
Awww he's a porcelain potato ❤ i don't even have a baby and i really liked this video 😊
1) i love that you've made content like this!
2) is that a kalamansi plant?
He looks so much like you :) You must be the best mom ever
This was a very useful video. Thanks!
Potato is such a cutie!
I think so too :)
Truly a great video. The quality, the content, woww. Can you say where did you buy your nappies?
Very helpful video. Thanks for sharing
I used cloth for my three children and they are now 22, 17 and 13. They didn't get nappy rash, I saved loads of money and there was something lovely about soaking, washing, drying and resting. x
He has your eyes ❤️
You're a lovely mother ❤
I appreciate your efforts to have a smaller carbon footprint, you're a rare find Klaire.
my sister in law swears by them. i love how cute they are and how many designs you can have. my nephew doesnt seem to mind them
I found this video incredibly fascinating! But now I’m curious about the disposable sanitary pads; would you be willing to make a video about the topic and your experiences?
Hi Klaire! ❤️❤️
Great video 💛
Love this video thankyou mumma x
I wish i had used cloth nappies when my 2 were young, i feel so guilty about the impact on the environment. You're an inspiration Klaire!
Don't feel guilty. You did what you could at the time. This is one aspect of the cloth nappy community that I hate, they looooove to make any mums to use (or even need to use) disposables feel like the actual devil.
Hi Klaire, I was wondering if you could do a garden tour or videos on composting and how you use food scraps. Thank you.
:D
Huge compliment for picking out those glasses, they are an absolute delight to see! I´ve never seen that style before, may I ask where you got them from? Are those with correction or just clear glass?
They're correction (I'm super short-sighted) I got them from Specsavers, they're called the Aichi glasses. Here is the link if you want it: www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/aichi
Thank for doing this video. I don’t have children but when I do, this was something I’ve seriously been debating. I think disposable for the first bit when they’re pooping out that black tar(😂) and then go to cloth
Getting ready for my first baby and 100% going cloth. Thanks for this video, so informative. One question though, what is that spray made from that you put in the nappy bin?
Potato is such a stud! Just to dang cute.
I noticed in the blog post and in the video you didn't mention the super thin disposable meshy linner things people normaly use with cloth diapers, so it's easier to throw away the poop! I forgot the name of those D: but I've seen them in other cloth nappies videos. Maybe it can help!
I don't even have a baby yet, but when I do I'll definately use cloth nappies as well! 😊
And yay for reusable pads!! I've been using them for years and they changed my life!
I tried those (they claimed to be biodegradable and flushable) and they always seemed to roll up inside the nappy and they weren't biodegradable. As an experiment, I put them in the wash a few times to see if they would start to break down. After 5 washes they were still like new. I wasn't impressed at all.
@@KlairedeLysOfficial oh 😮 I guess I won't bother buying those then 😄
Hi klair,
I absolutely love this video!
I am 28 weeks pregnant and ready to take the full plunge into cloth nappies. I have read the blog associated with this video and you recommend little & bloomz nappies. Before I buy the nappies from them I was wondering how these nappies worked for you as your bubba got older? All the reviews I can find talk about how good they are for younger babies, but I really want to make sure that they will last until my bubba is potty trained.
My friend has used alva nappies, which apparently look very similar to the little & bloomz nappies and she said the elastic on the leg wasn't great and she had to rebuy all of her nappies from little lamb nappies to fit her son as he grew.
Thank you!
Lovely video. Thank you.
Please can I ask what you use in the spray bottle you squirt into the nappy bucket?
I love your voice! 😍
I've got a Yorkshire accent. 😭
This is a great video! Thank you!
I've been using reusable sanitary napkins for a while now and we are expecting a little one come September. When your little one was a newborn, did you use disposables more than reusable? I'm worried about sizing. My baby is half Asian and most times, Asian babies are a little smaller than western.
I saw this video when I was pregnant and I did the same thing and it is still amazing 7 months in.
thank you so much! My fiance and I are doing te cloth thing because we try to be pretty sustainable (cloth menstrual pads and a mooncup changed my life) but pretty much no one I know uses cloth nappies. I undersand the happy prints , part of me wanting to cloth nappy is that I already have depression and I know I'll likely struggle after little one is born so anything colourful and pretty will help. Aesthetics make such a big difference
Where did you get the superhero nappy from?! 😍 Great video thank you x
Thank you!
Thank you 🙏 🐝
Oh my!! That chubby cheeky potat.😭♥️
Great video and gorgeous nappies! I've got serious baby fever at the moment, and although me and my husband only intend to happy a baby in a few years, I'm using my baby fever to fuel research.
I'd love to use reusables but my husband is concerned about the whole washing and reusing thing. Is it really any different to disposables though? I was also just thinking about if you had somebody babysitting. Have you had any experience with baby being watched by somebody else and how did they take on the reusable nappy situation?
What do you spray in the bucket to control the smell? I’m a new mom here using cloth diapers. I love all you videos 🥰
Wow its been a while since I've seen your video, now you have a baby! 🤯
Washable nappies and pads are the best) also kids who use reusable nappies learn to use the potty easier because they feel uncomfortable when wet and make a connection. We switched to cloth nappies around 20 months and potty training happened much faster after that.
