Noggin Manager Tom Asham annouced that Noggin would be split into 2 blocks, Because in 2001 The Jim Henson Company sold its share of Noggin and it’s muppets of Sesame Street to Seasme Workshop, leaving Oobi as the only show for preschoolers on Noggin, so something needed to be done by this point as preschool programming is part of Noggin’s bread & butter.
Noggin was the best during 1999- March 31st 2002 "before it became a Preschool Channel because they had Sponk at the time and I loved that show"

The reason why Noggin became a preschool channel is because of low ratings (from what I've heard)
When I see the N promo it makes me sad because the preteens era of Noggin is now gone....................... Forever
