Al looks like an astronaut that just took his helmet off.
Yooooooo 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂 this is funny asf
That perfectly cylindrical sweatshirt 😂

😂😂😂😂 bruhhhh
Makes you realize how ridiculous the rules were about paying players back then. The Florida basketball team was going to win back to back and yet they were left alone with no food in a hurricane and no car? So stupid and I’m glad the NCAA has woken up
this was their freshmen year. they went b2b the following 2 years. but yea.. ncaa was definitely ultra exploitative before NIL.
They most certainly have not woken up, u crazy
They haven’t woken up. The NIL is ultimately still pennies to what the athletes actually deserve. They deserve money from the schools/television/shoe contracts etc. It’s nothing more than a distraction and unfortunately it worked. Nobody is barking at the ncaa anymore to pay the players because of these little deals.
They didn’t choose to wake up, they had no choice. Clown organization top to bottom
@@scandelez you're acting like every player goes pro, it's a tiny % in all actuality.
The most insane part is that UF, a multibillion dollar NCAA program, made them stay through a hurricane with no food
Any adult with two braincells to rub together would think, "oh, a hurricane is coming, maybe I should get some food and water for the day." That should be common sense.
Central Florida is greedy and cheap as f. From the Universities to the counties and people who run them. ESPECIALLY Alachua & Volusia.
@@Paul-hl3lb Guess you were never a teenager living on your own for the first time. Pretty sure those two things were low on the priority list at that time in my life.
@@Paul-hl3lb well they were college freshman from up north living in Florida? I'm pretty sure they're new to that situation
@@Paul-hl3lb yeah it should be common sense for one of their coaches to make sure the 17/18 year old phenom calorie vacuums had some damn sustenance!
They was high as hell with the munchies😂😂😂
Facts. They were blazing and chilling lmao
Al Horford seems like such a good dude, like properly the kind of guy you wish you had as a neighbour.
The 2004 hurricane season was nuts especially in August-September
I thought he was going to say Joakim was playing reggae and dancing in the middle of the storm
I love Joakim, even as a knick fan
Jah bless the earth and the trees... And the sun
Those are the best kinda memories tho freshman year was some good times
never forget Jo's 12/12/7 near mvp year!
That Florida team is so underrated... I don't think if you go back in history can you find to many collegiate teams who could deal with Joakim and Al. Plus Green, Brewer, and Humphrey on the perimeter... plus added size in NBA bigs Speights and Richards..... and let me make this clear, its not a skill thing, its a want and desire thing, and defensively the team was as good as they come at this level. Whatever Donovan was selling, they were buying in... They never were really phased by the pressure, especially coming back, forgoing the NBA, putting all the pressure on yourselves to repeat and they did that... and I honestly don't know if you will ever see that many NBA guys return and win it again, Al was humble with that one.
Their first run I believe they beat everybody in the tournament by 10+ points, and then the 2nd year they run into Oden, Cook and Conley and covered by 9.
Underrated by who?? Everyone who knows college basketball knows how stacked and dominant that team was.
@@brandonhodge5136 Team doesn't get mentioned nearly enough.
I PERSONALLY THINK THEY WOULD THE GREATEST SINCE JOHN WOODEN'S BRUINS TEAMS IN THE '60S MAYBE EVEN BETTER I BELIEVE IF THEY CAME IN AS AN ENTIRE COLLEGE TEAM ON ONE NBA TEAM I BELIEVE THEY EVENTUALLY WOULD HAVE WON A CHAMPIONSHIP I TRULY BELIEVE THAT!
@@Iambriangregory thats a little bit far fetched now lol cmon .
@@optimalpowersimracing6625 hey Einstein do you know basketball? Mr fetch? They had players win rings or go seven games with eventual champion in playoffs like Noah DUH! so watch who you challenge without knowing your fact's ok Mr fetch? Duh
JJ did Joakim dirty with that pic 🥴💀
I wanna hear a R-rated Joakim story
Pause
relax b
I had a similar story my freshman year in college during hurricane Isaac at Southern University.
Joakim walking around campus with a boombox seems to check out
Need a Corey brewer interview talking about college nba career nba 50 point game to coaching help develop players
It’s hard not to want to see this guy win.
that story was hilarious just having watched Joakim interviews and also just picturing Corey Brewer starving in his dorm room 😂😂😂
I got to watch that Florida team play at providence the season of thr 2nd championship ....will always remember that...because of that being such a memorable college team...
Jo is a legend
surprised them telling of having to share rooms, wow things are different now. would never do that in college
JJ mentioned Venmo??? The cashapp sponsorship is cooked now
Thought the same thing and searched the comments lol
Joakim a true Florida Man
I was there in Gainesville that year. Saw the hurricane. Saw the boombox. Said “we” about a championship team. Good times!
That's it.. Damn
He is talking about the 2004 Hurricane Season. That was a crazy one. There was one after another.
Gainesvi;lle is landlocked. not really prone to bad hurricanes like the coast. If the diner is open, the storm isn't that serious. I live in South Florida I know
And literally only a year later UConn goes on to repeat 😂. Time to pay up JJ!
the image of these 7 foot tall dudes trying to distances themselves from the 7 foot tall dude dancing like 15 feet in front of them is sending me
Builds character 💪🏼
That jacket 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man that jacket is 🔥
The craziest story he could think of was a trip to the cafeteria lol cmon Al
Yeah, he shoulda told us about all the LeTrains they used to run on LeThots
Lol Al is just a bad story teller
you know they have a lot more crazy stories but those stay behind doors.
In a hurricane..
@@clutch7548 😂😂😂😂😂
Not on the D1 level, but D2 NW Missouri State just won 3 championships in a row
They lost this year… they won in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022…
send the venmo? did cashapp stop paying the bills?
We talk about goats, but who you take as top storyteller between Horford, Kawhi and Evan Mobley?
lmao these brothers aint eat for like 10 hours and they were willing to risk it all
Thought it was gonna be like "Hurricane flooded the area, Noah built an Ark, and we floated to the Gator Diner." Nope, it was not that good.
JJ huge fan repsond to this good interview
How was a restaurant open during a hurricane?!
I wonder if JJ can still dunk
They were high at
Anybody not from Florida is probably like omggg and people from Florida are like mehhh that’s a just a Tuesday bro
I expected a better story
Didn't take long for jj to lose that bet
This is funny lmao!
JJ, I’m subscribed u can stop telling me now!
Katrina or Wilma? Lol because those two where not a joke
And that's why Florida won a title... Look at who the school had....
Reason #232 for NIL.
Haven't heard him talk much but man, boy am I happy. Dude is boring to listen to, but a great player.
what is a roomette lmfao
And…….
Al this story was whack bro. We wanted to hear something crazy.
😂for real, this story had so much potential but he’s clearly not a good story teller lol
😂😂
lmao this story was garbage
Shoutout to the 40 Acres fit on Tommy
the hurricane was so bad that the college food cafeteria was still open...
Its normal to offer food in emergency situations🤡🤡🤡
@@clutch7548 bruh. No. I was actually at Florida while they were there… he’s exaggerating a bit. It’s cool. Now wipe your chin.
@@24hourgrind you the suss one for talking about wiping chin cuz i argued the storm was legit🤨
UConn hahah
And….uhhhh…..
This was a very long story with absolutely punchline.
Bruh don’t waste my time like that again so cool bro smh what a lame story lol
The wrost storyteller of all time #Al Horford
Congrats on getting that State Farm $$$.
i just noticed im not subscribedf
As much as i like Al Horford hes gotta be the worst story teller ever 😂
I think it has to do with Spanish being his first language. That's how we tell stories, it feels like we never get to the point.
Go clippers
