- The season 10 trailer for Overwatch 2 launched, and it delivered what you expect from such a trailer, a look at some of the content that we can expect in the upcoming season.
But Blizzard is cheeky.
They always hide a lot of stuff in these trailers. There are hints towards future content beyond season 10 and small lore elements.
I went through the trailer almost frame by frame. I sacrificed my eyesight, just like those nuns did in Brugge, to make the finest lace coffee table covers. But instead of a coffee table cover, I have a list of secrets, Easter eggs, and details that you have missed in the season 10 trailer.

Hanzo's bow and tattoo change in this trailer. It appears he has a tiger tattoo, making him a part of the rival clan to Shimada.

One thing I’ve noticed not many people talk about is that the first colour scheme for mercy is supposed to be talon while the second gives hella vishkar vibes especially with that visor and the third is supposed to be null sector.
it looks more like the colors of moira's default outfit to me, maybe mercy did similar experiements to her in this timeline and takes her place and maxmillien's

Rein shield is deployable bap window. If you look at the edges you can see the bap window effect.

Mandatta is the leader of nullsector while ram is a pacifist(OR, nullsector is a pacifist charity organisation).
JQ is a vhiskar architec while symmetra is the queen of junkertown.
Numbani is a dictatory ruled by an iron fisted, cruel Efi.
My favorite: genji is the eldest son of the HASHIMOTO clan, hanzo is the second born and kiriko is against the shimadas.
Cassidy leads deadlock, hunting the overwatch member ashe.
ANUBIS was created to save humanity during the omnic crisis (which might have been sort of a "human crisis").
Volskaya is trying to destroy humanity.
So many similarities, I hope it won't be about overwatch vs talon only.
Or maybe hanzo is the one lose in genji fight and become cyber assassin in overwatch. And genji is the one felt guilty and leave shimada family.
That means junkrat and road hog take a similar role to life weaver, Finally Junkrat's lore actually has him a treasure. Also means sym kicked "Junk weaver" out of junker town.
Time to make an AU
In this timeline.....
At Eichenwalde, Reinhardt was the only survivor. He didn't take this well, having been unable to save anyone because he kept fighting. He became an outlaw, attacking governments anywhere.
Without a big guy with a shield, Torbjörn died on that mission, leading Brigitte to grow up resentful towards Overwatch.
When Genji was found by Overwatch, Mercy was unable to save him. Reyes blamed her for losing a valuable asset, and after that, she was no longer the friendly healer everyone once knew. Between losing Genji and Torbjörn, she grew distant.
Talon was unable to capture Amelie, so they hatched a new plan: capture Ana. Ana was brainwashed and killed Gèrard. Amelie lost her eye to Ana on a future mission.
Akande studied up on his predecessor Akinjide's predecessor Adhabu, and after killing Akinjide, turned himself in to Overwatch. He eventually had the same deal as Cassidy: jail or heroism.
Mercy had a larger role in saving Lena rather than Winston, leading Lena to become more trustful of Mercy.
Overwatch was unable to help in Canada, leading Sojourn to lose faith in them.
Satya was in a plane for an oversea trip when it crash landed on Australia. She used what little hardlight technology she had left to become a high ranking Junker.
Zenyatta went with Ramattra, and his face was disfigured in the London Uprising. He later ended up wearing a mask.
Overwatch found young Sombra, seeing potential in her hacking skills and teaching her to use them for good.
Mercy caused the Swiss HQ explosion, having had enough, and took over Talon, eventually killing Maximilien.
Bastion fully reverted to his original programming, but when his killing spree reached Rialto, Mercy had other plans.
Baptiste was unable to escape Talon, and was brainwashed, now calling himself Eskopyon.
Reinhardt eventually joined Talon, revelling in the chaos and training his vengeance-seeking protégé Brigitte.
Overwatch wasn't shut down, but Talon did capture (possibly kill idk) Winston when they took over Watchpoint Gibraltar as the rest of the remaining team was out on a mission.
Now Akande, Amelie, and Sombra must try to take their base back from the vengeful Talon operatives and their merciless angel of death.

Through some of the voice-lines it's implied that Reinhardt is getting controlled in some way, "You no longer hold my leash" something along that lines when he kills Ana. He sometimes make animalistic noises and grunts, so I think he's kind of in a Sigma-Widowmaker situation, where he was kidnapped experimented on and brainwashed.
Rein was a super soldier from Germany for the crusaders. What if in this universe he was stolen from the German lab or made somewhere else for Talon, and Wilhem is on his armor because it's like a dog leash.
Brother I do not mean to insult if I happen to. I am ASTOUNDED that you sound like if Reinhardt and Torbjorn fused into one man, I dig it =D

In the Hanaoka section, when it's in Hanzo's POV, if you look at Hanzo's arm/tattoo you'll notice the tattoo isn't a dragon, but a tiger. I think we're getting a Hashimoto Hanzo epic skin!!!!
7:40 it could be a replacement for Widow, now its Scorpion.
oh and you missed something: brig's skin is showcased in volskaya industries. that can't be an accident. probably next in line to be renewed like hanamura was into hanaoka.
I think the Sojourn theme points to the Shimada Clan. The black and green is similar to Genji's similar colours
This is the first time I've ever heard the rocket in Gibraltar acuatlly launches?
It does :) as you win the game it will set off . A lot of maps have these end of game actions that we sometimes miss. Like it raining coconuts on Samoa beach :)
Og. Lore Sombra took tracers blueprints to make her translocater so maybe its opposite where tracer tool sombras translocator and had it put onto her by brig. which means maybe winston isnt apart of talon
You missed out that Rein's eye scar is on his right eye instead his left one.
In this reality, it could be that Ana won the dual, but the battle still happened, while both obviously being on opposite sides of the conflict.
The Green made me realize it would be kinda cool if Sojurn and Genji swapped, cus they both got entirely cybernetic bodies for opposite reasons. Plus a member of blackwatch being swapped with the Strike Comander in OW makes alot of sense. But Hanzo and Kiriko would be hard to track.

looks like the best event since the halloween RPG one. It's funny cause both of these events have elements we were looking forward to in the promised PvE.
As cool as this concept is I personally don’t feel they did it justice. For one, the designs feel kinda lazy because they basically just did Talon agents in OW uniforms and vice versa. I was expecting essentially each character’s base model in the theme of if they were good instead of bad. What I mean is I wanted to see “Crosshair” instead of “Widowmaker”; not Captain Lacroix. I also feel like they chose the characters from the wrong era for the outfits they’re wearing. If these were the clothes each team was going to wear, then they should have used Legacy Talon and Overwatch members (like Soldier or Ana). Instead they used the current Talon and Neo-Overwatch cast but in the legacy style. I think all these characters should have been the ones to get skins for this event but it should have been in the theme I mentioned prior. All this to say, I feel they under delivered on this season’s theme.
I agree they should of put more effort. Seriously hate the reskins in this game and charge a ton, but im not surprised since microsoft is as greedy. I will say these skins do take a hell of a long time to make and even longer for mythics so they had to probably make them bland for delivery, which sucks.
I guess in the mirror universe Overwatch was never dismantled, so as a legal organisation they have uniforms even in the current era, as opposed to being a bunch of vigilantes each with their own costume.

@@Raksoforback that’s pretty logical considering it was the actions of Soldier and Reaper that lead to the end of OW. Though, didn’t OW eventually ditch the uniforms and used more personal uniforms in the later year as seen in Storm Rising? Regardless, I’m still disappointed by these cosmetics because they feel very cookie-cutter and there was a lot of untapped potential.

All that Hate for Mei, Overpriced Skin, and Broken Promises of the Story Mode. If Hate lead to War, then War is what DoomFist wants.
I´m pretty sure that the Sojourn-Skin is just a normal Shop-Skin they are releasing which is why it was shown with these other Talon-Skins as they will be part of the shop.
i do think it's worth noting the 2 planks behind the overwatch box in the trash. might just be more than talon lol
Tbh I like the theme of the new battle pass, as well as the other new additions. However I feel like they could save it for Season 11 and make this season's theme Egyptian mythology. It would make sense with Venture and their abilities, along with an Anubis mythic skin for a tank like Ramattra. But it’s still a very cool theme and I can’t wait for season 10!!

This trailer has so many cool details! When I saw the little "pi" pin Mercy is wearing, I immediately thought of Max xDD My favourite omnic of course (equal with Bastion maybe :p). I hope they do something similar as they did with Starwatch, where they release a short comic that tell a story of the Mirrorwatch Universe. I just love this theme so much. There will probably be so many more easter eggs in-game, can't wait. GREAT VIDEO!!!
I am surprised that no one is getting it but I think Sojourn is supposed to replace Genji. That explains the mask and the green on her. Or, perhaps Blackwatch in this Universe has more of a black and green look to them? Instead of the black and red like Talon? Thats also possible..
Y'know how they "teased" a season theme with a skin the season prior? Like how Ana is mentioned, the same thing happened with Sigma before Season 4 happened with his "Galatic" skin
I hope they have skins for Genji and Hanzo where they switch places. Well, there’s a human Genji skin, but he’s named “Young” Genji. So in his current age he would look different.

Isn't rein also bigger now? I man you can see his skin on that talon skin. In the game rein and mauga are the same size right? But Rein only because of his armor. Cuz rein is a normal human. In the mirror verse that seems to change haha

also the duck thing on the new map is a Kappa, and one of Kiriko's yokai crew is a kappa. remember that weird looking new tank that we only saw an icon for during Blizzcon 2023? it kinda gave off turtle vibes to me, I'm thinking the Kappa mascot is a teaser for the next tank hero in s14. like how they teased Illari and Mauga with the Peru/Samoa posters on one of the maps (forget which one)

The symbol on Soj's shoulder just looks like the Seoul Infernal team logo to me. And the colors looks like OW contenders colors. I feel like they just through an OWL skin in with the Talon skins.
I think the sojourn skin is a reference to the deep sea raiders from mauga’s lore, they have a voiceline about it.
Soujourn kind of looks like Houston Outlaws? The green, and her mask has there logo on it I think? They put that reaper skin in the BP, so it's possible they do the same for Soujourn

could be teasing the S14 tank hero, one of kiriko's yokai squad members is a Kappa. they showed off the s14 tank hero's placeholder icon during blizzcon and it definitely looks like he could be a Kappa to me

venture was so fun to play, and their voice actor had done a great job. they seem to have a very positive personality, there was no way they were sympathetic towards talon.
Ok hear me out. It make no sense for Anubis to be in Petra like we saw in the venture gameplay trailer. What if that is one of the end points in a reworked temple of Anubis clash map. Since from the snippets of the clash mode looks like each point is a little different and not really mirrored at least design wise. So potentially we could be getting a reworked hanumura and a reworked temple of Anubis when clash drops

Sojourn skin is probably an epic with no real lore like ramen bastion and Eldritch horror. The maple leaf just confirms it even more. And since its mirrorwatch we can pretty much confirm indeed winston is talon and max is overwatch leader probably 😂 nice video btw
