I bought a thicker monitor, and it does press on the screen, but I made it work by cutting a piece of plastic card and placing it between the back part of the screen bar and the one that grips the monitor.
The size of the card will depend on the width of your screen. The plastic piece will act as a wedge, so it does not press on the monitor.
The screen bar will no longer grip your monitor. It will just hang on to it. You can use an adhesive to stick it if you want.
I still think this screen bar is still worth it for its price especially, now that it costs around 20 bucks.
Stay safe!
@@nobama4806 I'll upload it on the 24th! 😸
Can u make a video about the padding tho it will genuinely help us with the problem or maybe post it in shorts so we can see how you do the padding. Thanks
Hi, I posted a workaround on the community tab on my channel. 😸
btw there is 2 version of this lamp
the youth one and the pro (or fighting, something like that)
these 2 versions there is no difference in feature, only in the grip and the buttons
the pro version is a little more expensive but fit in large monitors and also doesnt press
you can find both in aliexpress, there is 2 store for baseus (idk why) but both have the pro version (one have only the pro)
i realize I'm kinda off topic but does anybody know a good website to stream newly released movies online ?
short but full of info! always appreciate it when a creator doesn't waste time.

Salamat, bro!
How bout the clamp system? Will it work on back-rounded monitor such as older imac?
Plus, is it okay to put on bezel less / thin frame display? Will it damage the screen, if it has tighter clamp grip?
Thank u!!
Great video 🔥
Awesome. Nicely presented. I got the same and it is very useful.
It really is useful. Thank you! 😺
Yey! New video! Been eye-ing on that thing for so long. Will it fit 'thicker' monitors?
Yeyyy! Thanks for watching! I think it will fit better on thicker monitors (but not too thick), because it will have thicker bezel to hold on to. 😸
I know this might be a late answer, but for other ppl wondering:
they have a model for up to 20mm thick monitors, and another model for up to 40mm monitors.
Hey, I loved the video. I have this lamp and love it, but I just bought a new monitor with a thin bezel and I noticed it presses against the display. Any tips? I'll definitely be recommending this product using your referral link
Great video! Surprised that this was shot using a phone. Very nice editing as well 😍 Kudos! Planning to buy a screenbar but still contemplating to get either BenQ or Baseus. Does the light reflects on the monitor?
Hi, thank you! In my experience, it doesn’t reflect on my monitor. I’m very much satisfied with the one I got from Baseus. 😸
this one vs xiaomi which is better for thick monitor widths ?
Would this work for a bezeless monitor?
Can you review the Xiaomi Mijia Light, (get it from AliExpress) and do a comparison

Hi, message me on Instagram. I’ll try to send you a photo of it. 😸
Sub'd! Love discovering new pinoy tech reviewers on CZcams! By the way, I just purchased this screen bar. And I'm not sure if I'm is faulty but I've been trying to change out the light temperature. Yet, every time I do press the middle button, mine shuts off instead. Do take note that I have the USB plugged directly to my rig. My question is, is it getting enough juice (5v) where it shouldn't be an issue to draw 4000K or 5500K light temp? Or is it being plugged to the rig's USB port just enough to power up 2800K lighting and I should just have it plugged to a wall outlet? Or worse, I should get this returned and ask for a replacement since it is faulty? I just really need this lamp set at 4000K light temp. Thanks in advance for your insight!
Hi, thanks! I have mine plugged in to my monitor’s USB port and it works fine. Have you tried using a power adapter? 😺
Nice!
Thank you! Stay safe!
That's a great review, you went straight to the point and answered all the questions I had about this product.
I'm wondering if there are screen bars designed to be placed below the monitor, that would be even better for me. Wouldn't work so well with monitors that have controls at the bottom though.
Hi, thanks! Unfortunately, I can’t find one just yet that can be mounted below the monitor. When I find one, I’ll let you know. 😸
Great vid! What laptop stand did you use? Thinking of getting one for myself

Hi anong brand ng monitor mo?
i like your pc wallpaper what is it?
whats your monitor?
Been wondering about this. How would you mount a webcam that sits on top of a monitor if you put this one on. Would a webcam be able to mount on it, or the USB cable will get in the way?
Hi, I think the cable will get in the way. I saw some workaround online where they stick it on top of the screen bar. But the outcome may vary depending on the webcam you'll be using.😺
@@CharlesDuante thanks! Will probably just have to try it, and if it doesn't work, the usual mini tripod will have to do.
I mount a Logitech C615 on top of my Baseus bar. The C615 at least can stay on top of the screen bar relatively still but I use a double tape (nothing too strong) just to keep it still. A strong wobble of the desk may tip the webcam off the bar.
In multiple other reviews it was noted that this screenbar outputs a high pitched noise, when dimming the light and while using it with this dimmer lighting mode. Can you tell me, if you also experienced this issue?
Hi, I haven’t experienced it with this screen bar. 😸
What about curved screens?
I was thinking using this as a lightning’ for my webcam can a webcam attached to the scren bar?
Hi, someone told me that they made it work, although, it won’t be as stable if you regularly move or adjust your webcam.
Why nobody trying this on a laptop? Will it work with 15.6 laptop?
Can the light be turned towards you and be used as a webcam light to brighten up your face during zoom meetings?
Yes, it can. 😸
@@CharlesDuante meaning no need for Ring light?

Why is this in my recommendation?
I have no idea and interest in anything smart tech but you made me binge-watch your videos.

edit later: it's a shame to read comments similar to mine after I actually posted. Feels like i copied everyone else in the comments.
Hi, thanks a lot! It really means a lot. I hope you stick around for more videos. Stay safe! 😺
When you said it should be plugged into a 5v-1A adapter, does it mean I cant plug it too my quick charging bricks?
As far as I've known, Amperage(A), is drawn from the supply that is given. So if you have the standard USB power bricks/banks/delivery, rated at 5v-2.5A, it should be able to provide 2.5A and the screen bar will only take 1A. The Voltage is what I've known that we should be wary of, too much and it'll damage your device. For the Amperes, if a device is drawing too much from the supply, the device supplying the power will instead be the one damaged.. Take this info with precaution and supplement with additional quick searches on the web.
@@gelotress479 thanks for the information!
Hi Charles, can you mount a webcam ontop of the screen bar?
Hi, I’m not exactly sure how but someone messaged me and told me that they made it work. 😸
Which version do you prefer, touch or fighting (knob)?
I prefer the touch sensitive buttons. 😸
Nice, what's your monitor?
Hi, the monitor on the video is from Anmite. I have video about it on my channel. 😸
can I mount webcam on the light bar?? like logitech c920??
Hi, I know someone who mounted a webcam on top of his screen bar and it works just fine. Although you need to be creative on how you position it. But it's possible.
Hi Charles, Would you please advice me. I have a LG29WN600 monitor. It's panel thickness is about 1.5cm and the back panel is oblique. Will the light still be able clip on the monitor or will it be incompatible? I am considering this light bar for my home office.
Hi, I posted a work around for this on the community tab on my channel. But that is a workaround if you have an existing light or if you really want this light bar. But I think there are other screen bars that can work with monitors that don’t have a flat back. ☺️
Is the latch really strong? I was thinking if it will put some pressure on my screen as my monitor is bezel-less. Thank you!
Hi, I pinned a comment about this. 😸 I recently changed my monitor and it does press on the screen. But I made it work with a piece of a plastic card that acts as a wedge.
Tasty production! 😍 Surprised to read that it was shot and recorded on an iPhone. Haha do you do your own editing?
Hi, thanks for the compliment! Yes, I do my own editing. 😸

hi what monitor are you using? thanks
Hi, the monitor in that video is from Anmite. I created a video about it. I also created a new video about the monitor I’m currently using. 😸
Can I use this during video calls? Great video! Thanks man!
Hi, thanks! Yes, you can. I use it sometimes when my lighting is insufficient. 😸
Great video! I'm wondering, can a webcam be placed on top of it?
Hi, thank you! Someone told me that they made it work, although, it won’t be as stable if you regularly move or adjust your webcam. 😸
Okay! Thanks again. 😊
Just asking. The monitor will not damage due to the clip??
Hi, I pinned a comment regarding this. 😸
Does this press on your lcd as well? I'm afraid of having long-term effects on my monitor because of the squeezing
Unfortunately, it will press on the screen. But I made it work by wedging a piece of card. I explained this further on the pinned comment. 😸
can you use lighting in a video call?
Yes, you can. Just adjust it to the best angle for you. And also, adjust the brightness so that it won’t strain your eyes. 😸
Did you notice any backlight bleed in your monitor where you attached the screen bar? The pressure from the clip of the screen bar is causing my monitor to get backlight bleed. Im using an Asus TUF VG1R monitor
Hi, yes, it does press on the screen. You can check my pinned comment about the workaround for this. 😸
1:28 Looks like that latch digs into the screen itself and doesn't clip onto the monitor's frame?
Hi! I pinned a comment regarding this concern. It does press on the screen but there’s a workaround to make it work.
Hi where did you get your monitor holder? Btw, i like your videos. New subscriber here👋🏻😊
Hi, I got it from Loop Alloy on Lazada. 😺
Is it ok if I plug it in the back usb port of my monitor
Hi, I have mine plugged-in on my monitor and I don't experience any problems. 😸

So you can adjust the brightness within each of the temperatures?
Yes, you’re right.
Would it be suitable for laptop? and how long's the cable that comes out of the box.
Hi, I’m not really sure if this works with a laptop. It could affect the LCD screen especially on a retina MacBook. The cable’s length is 1.5m.
how long is the usb cable? is it 60inches long? i want to use a wall adapter for it so that i can use it (for room dim lighting) even with my computer is turn off.. my wall socket is quite far below my table.
It’s around 150cm/59in. You can use a USB extender just in case. 😸
@@CharlesDuante I think thats long enough, its the length of one tape measure. thank you very much, ordered already on shopee
How's the fitting of the clamp? Is it tight? I'm worried about my monitor since it has a thin bezel and it seems like it's pressing on the glass part of thin bezel-ed or bezel less monitors
Hi, I worry about it at first but in my experience it doesn’t leave any permanent effect on my monitor. I think the tightness of the clamp is just right. It will be a little tighter on thicker monitors because of the resistance.
@@CharlesDuante alright. Thanks man, nice review btw

Hi! Yes, I also use it for video calls at night. 😺

Hi, I'm using a 24inch 2K monitor from Anmite. I created a video about it.😺 czcams.com/video/tK8M-fP3_Tw/video.html
Will this work on a curved monitor? currently using a Samsung G5 Monitor. The monitor is quite thick
Hi, I’m not really sure if it will fit. You might want to checkout the screen bar from Xiaomi, I heard that it is much flexible in terms of compatibility. 😸
Would it fit my asus vp249qgr
Hi, if the monitor is not too thick, it should fit.
Can I ask what your monitor is? Do you have a link to where you bought it?
Hi, I created a video about this monitor. Here’s the link: czcams.com/video/tK8M-fP3_Tw/video.html
@@CharlesDuante thanks!
Is using a clamping light bar like this harmful for a monitor long term? I'm concerned about the pressure on the upper side of the screen OTL
Hi, I had no problems using this on my previous monitor, but since I upgraded to a thicker monitor, it does press on the screen a bit. I pinned a comment on this video on how I made it work on my current monitor.
Random question, I just got this and after trying it on my screen it seems like the coil pressure seems a bit tight(there's a visible color shift around the clip and I'm worried it might damage the screen by squeezing the bezel onto the monitor over time, OR accidentally gets bumped and crack the screen.
Hi, I also worried about it being too tight at first, but it doesn’t affect my monitor permanently.
same po with my asus gaming monitor nakakatakot na baka in the long run masira yung ips lcd
Hi. Ang update on this? Kamusta na monitors nyo? Kakabili ko lang kasi netong screenbar. Same thoughts baka magkadamage yung screen. I hope it wont! Thank you!
Can you make a cellphone charger as a power source for this?
Hi, I think it will work if you use a low power charger.
Is this good for streaming? Just like the ring light? TIA sir
Hi, if it you’ll use it for streaming, I suggest you get a ring light especially the RGB one. 😀
Since my monitor is having very thin bezel, I feel like the clamp of this screenbar is putting pressure on the screen. Should I be worried that his will damage my monitor is the long run (do suggest ways to install it on such bezelless monitors ) .
thank you
Hi, I posted about this on the Community tab on my channel. 😸
Really dope and flawless idea, thanks a lot.
idk if i should get this or the benq lightbar
If you don’t want to spend a lot on a screen bar, I think this one from Baseus is a good fit. 😸
I saw this in others review. And it can cause a bleed in a monitor. The width of my monitor is around 1,5 cm and the width of the bezel is around 0,6cm. Have you experienced this issue? Thanks.
Great review btw!
Hi! It shows a slight bleed but whenever I remove it, I don’t see any damage to my monitor. Thank you for watching! 😸
@@CharlesDuante umm.. thanks for the info.
Can it fit well for a laptop? , my laptop brand is Asus Gl502vs
Hi, I’m not sure if it will stay on properly or if it is advisable to do so since this is designed to be placed on a monitor.
Can you make a video about your day as a Graphic designer?
Hi, I'll take note of this suggestion, especially since there are a few who are asking the same thing. I just need to compose my thoughts on what to say. Thanks for the support! 😺
Is the clip on too hard? It might damage the monitor of my laptop or nah?
Hi, I do not recommend this for laptops since this is designed for monitors. It may be too big for a laptop.
Are you still using this product now? If yes, how is your monitor to where the clip makes contact with the screen? Because I notice even if you are using slim type monitor. The clip is making the screen light bleed.
I made my own in-depth detailed review of the same product. And I also hack it so it won't press on the screen.
Hi, I’m still using it right now. I was worried of the light bleed at first, but as for my monitor it doesn’t leave any permanent damage to my monitor. 😸
@@CharlesDuante that's good. I made a hack on my product because it might leave permanent damage to my expensive monitor. And still, all screenbar out there are the same. It worsens the light coming to my eye. and it doesn't reduce eye-strain.

Does this work on a curved monitor?
Hi, I haven’t tried it on a curved monitor yet.
Does it work with thick screen monitors?
Hi, my monitor is around 1 1/2” thick and the screen bar can still handle it. But anything thicker than that, I think it won’t work.
