Hi Tarheel Family. New subscriber here. I love your Hard Rock edition with the white fenders. We have a 2015 with black fenders. My JKU in South Korea had white fenders so I'm partial to that. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video on the Daniel Boone. We'd love to give it a go sometime. Have you been through Hurricane Creek or the Georgia Traverse yet? We recently moved back to the USA after a 16+ year journey overseas so we are getting settled and looking for some overlanding adventures. Cheers from South Carolina. ~Mike and Ester~

Hi Mike and Ester! Thanks for subscribing and welcome back stateside! There are so many places to go and so little time. Hurricane Creek Rd has been on my list to check out for a while. I hadn’t heard of the Georgia Traverse until you mentioned it, but it looks like a great route and is close to home. I’ll definitely put that one on the to-do list. The DBBB is fun and I would certainly recommend checking it out. If you decide to go, I recommend the Land of the Arches campground over the Koomer Ridge campground (and it’s cheaper). Cheers!

@@TarheelOverland We will certainly check out the Land of the Arches CG. Thanks for the tip. We did the first section of the Georgia Traverse and there are some really neat spots to camp out. You kinda have to go off trail a bit to find them. Plenty to explore out there. We're also looking at Horse Pasture Road here in SC. Jumping Off Rock Overlook is supposed to be beautiful.

@@TarheelOverland I ended up going sunday kind of spur of the moment but I only did spaas creek ... nothing hard or complicated about it, just a lot more water from all the rain, storms, tornados we got friday evening into saturday morning. But it did get my mind off of everything and thats what mattered.

We explored roads in that area that looked interesting on the Forest Service MVUMs. Mostly to the S and SW of the Byway.

Yes it is. There is room to turn around if you get there and decide against trying that particular obstacle.

Thanks for picking up the trash left by other people. Unfortunately , the a- holes who left it , didn't do it themselves.
