I got the pro controller with my Nintendo Switch. Bought them at the same time. I only have one pro controller still, but may buy one at Walmart because its $10 cheaper there than any other place

straps come with exra joycons as well.. You don't need to buy extra strap unless you lose the ones that come with controller
