I like what Shingo represents. There is a myth in fighting games that you NEED perfect execution to get anywhere. It's why alot of people avoid the genre. Truth is, you don't need perfect execution. Shingo lacks finesse, and still gets pretty far. Even has a championship under his belt. It's almost like he's DESIGNED around dispelling that myth. Maybe not in the beginning, but I think that's what he is now.
Shingo is a talented individual as well. He is just a newbie in the scene who needs to train, while everyone else had been training from childhood. It's like SNK is telling people that they might be very good but they will never know if they don't try the games
I like to think that maybe that blue fire was a form of Ki? In the KOF14 manga, it was shown that Ki could be shaped by the user. Perhaps Shingo's eternal fan boy spirit just shapes his Ki to that of a fire-like aura? lol

Which mean, magai got hit by a lucky stroke critical punch of shingo, it will be cool if 15 shingo had blue fire effect everytime he do critical hits This could also be a char progression lore, as shingo werent able to properly control his new blue flame power (thus it only happen on accident/on crit only), also shingo is well deserved at this point to achieve his dream of getting his own flame especially after all of his struggle, hardwork, and char progression since 97 He deserved that power up (ofc, doesnt mean he need to be a kyo clone, but his own firestyle technique), blue flame on ex move only or crit only will be a sick addition to 15 shingo

There are a lot of fire users in KOF anyway. It's not unique to Kyo and Iori so why not Shingo. Maybe not as fire heavy on the specials because he'd be too much of a Saisyu/Kyo clone, but like one flame special.
Since he met Iori's ancestors I would think he will have some of the yasakani's moves like KOFXIII Iori's move set or Iori's 3 quarter circle back uppercuts
Yeah, for how normal this guy is lorewise, his damage output is undoubtedly impressive. Adding Crits mechanic into the mix as for how goofy he is was a nice touch and I agree should comeback as his unique gimmick.
I think his new "blue flame" should be limited to his DM's, EX Critical hits, and his Climax Super. We may have a lot of fire users by now but Shingo is that one I feel deserves an exception since he worked so hard to make it to this point. Maybe have them be animations related to KOF XIII Iori's moveset as a homage.🙏🥋🔥
I'm pretty torn on the one hand we have enough fire user's in Kof. On the other if anyone deserves a pass for being a fire user it's Shingo. His whole goal was to produce his own flame and now he has one that burns even hotter than Kyo's! If anybody should get a pass for being a fire user it's Shingo!!!!
I'm rooting for the blue flames to show up only on his climax. Like an ultimate power that even himself doesn't know how to trigger at will, but it would be a cool payoff for all his efforts along the years and lore coherent. Apart from that, it pleases me that Shingo has always been a fun and effective character even looking a bit clumsy, but boy is he hard working
I believe that best option is to use the blue flames in his climax super as a small nod to the gaiden manga, other than that there is no need to change him to a full on fire user.
This I agree with. Honestly, if they mixed it in it would do a lot for his character and show his growth. It would be cool if he copied some of the other moves from people in the past as another nod. Him having an SF5 dan treatment would be sick imo 🔥
I’ve actually read the manga that was mentioned it was quite a interesting read. It was interesting to see shingo as a main character but also knowing he has siblings. The blue flames would be cool to see as a secret ultimate attack in kof 15 but then again who knows.
I think it'd be sick if they made a nod to the manga on his climax animation at least Like have him punch with the blue flame just against iori or the awakened orochi team Being so fucking strong and hardworking you create flames through sheer willpower is pretty sick
The best ending for Shingo was when Saisyu offered to mentor him in the NESTS saga (after Kyo discourages him to stop fighting) of 2K1. He even teams up with his new master and Kula in a later KOF game to reflect this. In 2K3 he finally gets his flame. But only if he's not teamed up with Goro and Benimaru. And at random. LOL.
Of course we don’t want another Kyo clone, but we don’t want Shingo’s dream to go unanswered. A compromise is to only have the Blue flames in the Climax super (let’s be real, the 2002 UM desperation super is too slow, especially considering the faster supers of K’, Kula, and Ángel from 2002 UM to XV).
I am glad I am not the only one who doesn't want to see Shingo becoming a Fire User. We have so many fire users in KOF already. Shingo having flames (or any super powers) would remove what made Shingo so special. It would be like Stryker from Mortal Kombat having Super Powers 🙁 I like the Underdog Type of character in fighing games. Characters that don't need powers to help. Besides, Shingo is already a skilled fighter.
I mean he was special the fact he got so far on his own was good and the fact he trained for years (IRL and in the series) to get flames. He never got it and we always are teased would feel worthless if he never reached that goal. I would understand if his character naturally made that realization and said (I give up on trying to do blah blah) But we never got that or he ever had that feeling of not achieving that goal. Like, Look at Dan from Street Fighter how he plays in SF5 is a perfect evolution of his character. If Dan became a pro fighter it would defeat his character. Like him and Shingo, both have amazing potential. Shingo should have some level of flames but it shouldn't overrule his character and growth over the years he existed in KOF.
Shingo's type of fire is different form other characters given that he can only punch and kick with it. Hell, I know want to see him with his own flames because it's something he earned and it'll give some forms of development to his character and fighting style. ( I like that he made his own techniques using the Kusanagi martial arts as a base.)
I actually read the gaiden at some point it was very intersting , imo whether or not shingo pulls out the blue flames in XV i don't mind as long as he has updated and stronger moveset than before (time manipulation could be the biggest expectation shattering news in XV so far tbh) and as for when he stands i suppose he will team up with either saisyu and daimon or maybe kim and kensou for the asian alliance team (which was the case in 02UM with jhun and lin) anyway let's buckle up for season 2 💥💥💥💥

The Manga may be about Shingo, but it's a Good thing we got to see a bit of Lore about the "Regalia of Japan" Era that the whole KOF series was based on, I always wondered why there has never been a Prequel KOF Game before, like how "Street Fighter" does it in the Alpha series, 4 and even 5 which were before SF3 until SF6 finally made past it.
As much as I'd like to see some beautiful blue flames in future KOF installments, I agree with ShoryuGame that Shingo should not have any flame powers. We don't need another Kyo clone and another flame user. Maybe a good character arc for Shingo would be that he has the potential to create flames, but he drops that pursuit to create his own unique abilities that don't involve flames. Him gaining flames would just mean that he's incapable of breaking out of Kyo's shadow.

Shingo is like the Rock Lee of KOF, a normal, goofy guy who's very strong and durable due to training alone. Also, Shingo's flames were listed on his KOF wiki page as a temporary way to power his physical attacks only. If the flames are canon, it'll only boost his physical attacks and have no projectiles. Hell, that might be the only way his critical hits can come back.😶
Personally, I don't want Shingo to have the flames, it'll mean so much more seeing him as one the few badass normal characters in fighting games despite being goofy. But you know what? Goofy doesn't equal weak. Look at Goku.😶

Well, if you think about it, every time he does a Counter move, the screen freezes for a less of a second (time stop?), but of course it can be the visual effect of a powerful hit.
Well there's a possibility that his strange blue fire is not exactly like the Kusanagi's. About the critical hits...some characters can give a critical hit so hard that the opponent's almost set on fire in the contact and they are not fire users (Ralf Jones for example). Could be the case for Shingo, or something like that. Then it could still he linked to time manipulation. Remember Saiki could use time and he had those strange black flames mayne it wasn't exactly fire. Leaving Shingo without a very special ability wouldn't be fair when there are people like Terry who got very strong without having genetic abilities (well...nothing says Terry's not related to the Heinlein family, Rock's mother's family, and they seem to have some genetic abilities that gives them strange blue flames, for example Rock and his uncle Kain). With so many martial artists who develop very powerful abilities just with their ki...Shingo coups develop his own flame-alike attack and still keep his critical hits...that would actually make him very dangerous.
Considering how XIV and XV deal with time and space entities, it could be something with Verse and the buildup to Otoma=Raga that caused portals through time and space to appear around the world, and Shingo was just one of those (un)fortunate people who happened to be near said portals. That is one way to explain it if they want to make Shingo's time adventure canonized, I suppose. The audience will know the cause of the time portals, but Shingo will not.

I have to agree with you about Shingo not getting fire powers. Although, that saga was cool, I think giving him fire powers will kinda diminish the entire point of his character and might just make him an echo fighter. I really do hope that in Canon it turns out that his element isn’t fire but light. Would fit his personality and story pretty well in my opinion! In a way it perfectly links with Kusanagi’s question about how the first fire user came to be. Perhaps originally it was an ability born from determination and training after years of looking for the *_light_* at the end of the tunnel
If Shingo can stop time, that means his super moves where he checks his notebook and his enemy doesn't move at all could genuinely be more than just a joke

As much as I hope Shingo will one day be able to learn the flame arts, I think you're right about Shingo's appeal being just a strong "avarage guy". Maybe if his moveset would stay the same, but in his level 3 super he does have control over flames?
Now about the timeline. Ever since the release of King of Fighters manga comics in the 90's and 2000's about the Orochi saga, SNK fans stated that the 1800 years ago occured in the year 194 A.D. and 660 years ago in the year 854 A.D. But now with the confirmation of KOF GAIDEN Manga about the timeline, the timeline of this is based of the original and realife event such as 1800 years ago occured in the year 670 A.D. and 660 years ago in the year 1338 after the fall of Kamakaura Shogunate era (Great work). In original story mentioned both by Saisyu and Chizuru said that Magai was jealous of Yamato being the Hero and want it to gaine more power, but in gaiden Magai was a little bit jealous on him and he didn't tried to open the seal it was Yakumo possesed by Goenitz. Then again in original was mentioned that after he was arrested by Yamato for open the seal he talked to Orochi about his wife been killed by Yamato (but it was a lie) then make the bloodpact, but in gaiden showed that Magai wasn't arrested by Yamato, he was by the authorities for so called cooperation to help the emperor to portect Japan from invaders (I think and I don't like it that the Kusanagi, Yagami and Yata been tools of War), but failed, then been forced by Yakumo to make the bloodpact and Yakumo tells the truth about the death of Magai's brother. Also once that Magai and Yamato knows the plan of Hakkeshu, there are two posdibilities about the story. Either they written a fake journal for the next gen of the 3 clans and the truth journal are written and hiding in plain sight, either they written the truth journal for next gen of 20th. Century (For Saisyu and Iori's father) and not telling to Kyo and Iori until the time comes for the right moment...or....Everything is a lie. Lol (just kidding about everything is a lie but the rest are only two options). When the world is a Doublethink, when the years are 2+2=5. And when their fathers are hiding to their sons and friends many secrets.

I don’t want Shingo to become a fire user, but I would be fine with his new climax super including the blue flames as a reference! Other than that, leave the flames out. Shingo on the other hand we don't know which color of his flames will be in XV. Even if was mentioned in manga. Red and Orange Flames represents life, Purple flames represents poison and death but the Blue one...for me represents peace and purity and like water. Yes Shingo will have the flames like Kyo not Blue one. Maybe Iori's sister has it the Blue one 'cause during the Orochi Saga while Iori was occupied maybe she maked in secret a ritual of exorcise with the help of Chizuru but outside of Japan, thats my opinion and my theory. Plus i garantee that the manga is completly canon and a bit spoiler for ch. 10 of Gaiden (sorry). Magai regained his senses, he teamed with Yamato and defeated Yakumo possesed by Goenitz but still the Hakkeshu controls Yasakani/Yagami, and if my theory is correct or wait...I tell this in few seconds later. Shingo returned to present, he want it to tell Iori about his ancestor but Iori attacked him and laugh like an arrogant. Thats all (I hate this ending, I thought if Iori was listening to Shingo what really happend for real than attack him, then he can change his mind to not have the purple flames anymore and have a regular flame.) As funny as it sounds, I defeated Orochi in KOF 97, on my PS4, by placing him first, because I was not confident that I would defeat Orochi. I got the Gold Trophy, "Apocalypse Denied" (Defeat Orochi with a single character), and the screen capture is Orochi suspended in the air, with Shingo at the tail end of an attack doing an afterimage! Shingo saves the world!!!!! 😅🤣
You missed some important things about that manga. Magai's wife says that a time-paradox or a change in the future won't happen because Shingo's "world" and their world are not the same (this means Shingo were in a different timeline or another universe) and she says "our worlds are not the same but a STRANGE power managed to CONNECT them", if you remember that manga takes place after KOF XIV events and in Ash's team story Dolores says "The Crucible of the Souls CONNECTS all universes and makes all possibilities to converge". The point here is Shingo has no time power or something and that past wasn't the "original" (maybe another timeline or universe but im inclined it was another universe), that's why Mature and Vice didn't recognize him.
They wouldn't be able to recognize him in anyway since it's their first time seeing him. But Shingo should've recognized them IF he met them in the present, which he didn't as I explained.

Hard Work > Being the chosen one. Anyway, when K9999 returned as Krohnen, one of the things I really dislike is how SNK remove his psychic powers. His psychic abilities was one of the reasons why I prefer K9999 over Nameless and what made him unique compare to other 'Kyo Clones' (even if K9999 is NOT an actual clone) Now Krohnen is like Nameless, another fire user, that's lame.
There about 18 fire usersin lof now considering now k9999 is fire user now😐. k9999 is just nameless with normal orange flames . They really nerfed him with the removal of his psychic powers. There are lot of abilities not explored in the franchise enough .like ice,water,lightning,psychic,light, air, Technology, Dark magic like Dou lon and earth but the king and queen of that belongs to Mukai and Delores . At this point Fire user in kof are boring .😂. It's an excuse to solve all problems. Orochi-call iori and kyo. Also Snk should stop putting Orochi back into main plot and give other villains spotlight hence why those from the past are the most boring villains despite having the one of the best designs. Alot of potential wasted on these guys. Then the Nest Saga having the best villains in the franchise . Humans proving to be a world threat without the aid of ancient power. The Orochi saga having the most evil villains in saga. with likes of Genitz and Orochi by damging the lifehoods of Hiedern,Leona and Chizuru.
Well, here's what I think of how Shingo knows about the existence of Mature and Vice and how he knows they're both Hakkesshu. When Chizuru asked for his help in teaming up with Kyo and Iori in his place after losing her sacred treasure to Ash Crimson before the events of KOF XI began, she told him all about Orochi, about the three clans and why this feud between the Kusanagi and the Yagami exists to this day. And when the two went to see the finals of KOF XIII together with the audience, Chizuru seeing who Iori teamed up with to enter the tournament, she must have told Shingo about Mature and Vice and that they are Hakkesshu, the enemies of the Yata, Kusanagi and Yasakani clans. It is because of this that Shingo recognized them in the manga, Chizuru told him everything she knew about these two snakes during the events of Tales of Ash.
Time control would be pretty cool. I don't think any fighter in the series have that power in the games right now 🤔 but please keep his critical hit ✨💥🙏🏾 it's bone breaking
Aside from that I really need to read this manga. But thinking about it, who are the team, if we're going manga reference, seeing that Vice, and Mature there, maybe that's the team? Second idea is Shingo, Saisyu, and maybe Maki? (since she's kind of exists because of Verse) Last one is the classic team pupils, Shingo, May Lee, and Marco Rodriguez.

This Maiden manga basically like Non-canon old one In the end of KOF 97, when Kyo and Iori try to finish Orochi, Kyo secretly use power of scared sword to send Shingo back to the time when Yagami clan first make contact of Orochi. And put little power of flame in Shingo When he got in the past, he see all 3 clans fight with Orochi (Eight head snake form) and save Yuki's ancestor by using Kusanagi's move Iori's ancestor came to place that seal Orochi, got caught and put to jail, here he got mind-break by Goenitz voice that his wife got tortute and kill by Kusanagi, angry then he accept to break seal change his clan to Yagami and flame became purple All Hakkesshu releash rush to Kusanagi but got sealed again by Shingo, this time Shingo using Shiki Orochinagi with red flame appear on his finger Shingo's critical strike can freeze enimies, he used it to defeate Omega Rugal in 98
Maybe the reason Shingo went back in time is because of Verse’s effect in time and space? And Shingo was just unlucky enough to be sucked in a random time space distortion. That’s just my theory as to how Shingo managed to go back in time since I think SNK is trying to push flame Shingo

I’ve actually read the manga that was mentioned it was quite a interesting read. It was interesting to see shingo as a main character but also knowing he has siblings. The blue flames would be cool to see as a secret ultimate attack in kof 15 but then again who knows.
I think it'd be sick if they made a nod to the manga on his climax animation at least

The best ending for Shingo was when Saisyu offered to mentor him in the NESTS saga (after Kyo discourages him to stop fighting) of 2K1.
He even teams up with his new master and Kula in a later KOF game to reflect this. In 2K3 he finally gets his flame. But only if he's not teamed up with Goro and Benimaru. And at random. LOL.
It seems that Shingo's blue flame also has a purifying quality that nullifies the effect of the cursed Orochi flame (and riot of the blood).

Of course we don’t want another Kyo clone, but we don’t want Shingo’s dream to go unanswered. A compromise is to only have the Blue flames in the Climax super (let’s be real, the 2002 UM desperation super is too slow, especially considering the faster supers of K’, Kula, and Ángel from 2002 UM to XV).
I'm honestly just happy to see Shingo again. It's been a while since his last appearance in main KOF.

I mean he was special the fact he got so far on his own was good and the fact he trained for years (IRL and in the series) to get flames.
He never got it and we always are teased would feel worthless if he never reached that goal. I would understand if his character naturally made that realization and said (I give up on trying to do blah blah)
But we never got that or he ever had that feeling of not achieving that goal.
Like, Look at Dan from Street Fighter how he plays in SF5 is a perfect evolution of his character. If Dan became a pro fighter it would defeat his character. Like him and Shingo, both have amazing potential.
Shingo should have some level of flames but it shouldn't overrule his character and growth over the years he existed in KOF.
Shingo's type of fire is different form other characters given that he can only punch and kick with it. Hell, I know want to see him with his own flames because it's something he earned and it'll give some forms of development to his character and fighting style. ( I like that he made his own techniques using the Kusanagi martial arts as a base.)
I would like Blue flame to be a special gimmick... It's activated at a random time or works against a specific opponent.

I actually read the gaiden at some point it was very intersting , imo whether or not shingo pulls out the blue flames in XV i don't mind as long as he has updated and stronger moveset than before (time manipulation could be the biggest expectation shattering news in XV so far tbh) and as for when he stands i suppose he will team up with either saisyu and daimon or maybe kim and kensou for the asian alliance team (which was the case in 02UM with jhun and lin) anyway let's buckle up for season 2 💥💥💥💥

The Manga may be about Shingo, but it's a Good thing we got to see a bit of Lore about the "Regalia of Japan" Era that the whole KOF series was based on,
I always wondered why there has never been a Prequel KOF Game before, like how "Street Fighter" does it in the Alpha series, 4 and even 5 which were before SF3 until SF6 finally made past it.
As much as I'd like to see some beautiful blue flames in future KOF installments, I agree with ShoryuGame that Shingo should not have any flame powers. We don't need another Kyo clone and another flame user. Maybe a good character arc for Shingo would be that he has the potential to create flames, but he drops that pursuit to create his own unique abilities that don't involve flames. Him gaining flames would just mean that he's incapable of breaking out of Kyo's shadow.

Shingo is like the Rock Lee of KOF, a normal, goofy guy who's very strong and durable due to training alone. Also, Shingo's flames were listed on his KOF wiki page as a temporary way to power his physical attacks only. If the flames are canon, it'll only boost his physical attacks and have no projectiles. Hell, that might be the only way his critical hits can come back.😶
Personally, I don't want Shingo to have the flames, it'll mean so much more seeing him as one the few badass normal characters in fighting games despite being goofy. But you know what? Goofy doesn't equal weak. Look at Goku.😶

Mainly because he's the only fighter who actually made his flames and actually earn it. Plus, it'll add development to his character and fighting style since his flames are nothing like others.😶

Well there's a possibility that his strange blue fire is not exactly like the Kusanagi's. About the critical hits...some characters can give a critical hit so hard that the opponent's almost set on fire in the contact and they are not fire users (Ralf Jones for example). Could be the case for Shingo, or something like that. Then it could still he linked to time manipulation. Remember Saiki could use time and he had those strange black flames mayne it wasn't exactly fire. Leaving Shingo without a very special ability wouldn't be fair when there are people like Terry who got very strong without having genetic abilities (well...nothing says Terry's not related to the Heinlein family, Rock's mother's family, and they seem to have some genetic abilities that gives them strange blue flames, for example Rock and his uncle Kain). With so many martial artists who develop very powerful abilities just with their ki...Shingo coups develop his own flame-alike attack and still keep his critical hits...that would actually make him very dangerous.
Shingo can use the blue flames in EX attacks (not all) and his Climax super. Otherwise keep his play style the way it's been in older KOF games

Considering how XIV and XV deal with time and space entities, it could be something with Verse and the buildup to Otoma=Raga that caused portals through time and space to appear around the world, and Shingo was just one of those (un)fortunate people who happened to be near said portals.
That is one way to explain it if they want to make Shingo's time adventure canonized, I suppose. The audience will know the cause of the time portals, but Shingo will not.

I have to agree with you about Shingo not getting fire powers. Although, that saga was cool, I think giving him fire powers will kinda diminish the entire point of his character and might just make him an echo fighter. I really do hope that in Canon it turns out that his element isn’t fire but light. Would fit his personality and story pretty well in my opinion! In a way it perfectly links with Kusanagi’s question about how the first fire user came to be. Perhaps originally it was an ability born from determination and training after years of looking for the *_light_* at the end of the tunnel

Ever since the release of King of Fighters manga comics in the 90's and 2000's about the Orochi saga, SNK fans stated that the 1800 years ago occured in the year 194 A.D. and 660 years ago in the year 854 A.D. But now with the confirmation of KOF GAIDEN Manga about the timeline, the timeline of this is based of the original and realife event such as 1800 years ago occured in the year 670 A.D. and 660 years ago in the year 1338 after the fall of Kamakaura Shogunate era (Great work). In original story mentioned both by Saisyu and Chizuru said that Magai was jealous of Yamato being the Hero and want it to gaine more power, but in gaiden Magai was a little bit jealous on him and he didn't tried to open the seal it was Yakumo possesed by Goenitz. Then again in original was mentioned that after he was arrested by Yamato for open the seal he talked to Orochi about his wife been killed by Yamato (but it was a lie) then make the bloodpact, but in gaiden showed that Magai wasn't arrested by Yamato, he was by the authorities for so called cooperation to help the emperor to portect Japan from invaders (I think and I don't like it that the Kusanagi, Yagami and Yata been tools of War), but failed, then been forced by Yakumo to make the bloodpact and Yakumo tells the truth about the death of Magai's brother. Also once that Magai and Yamato knows the plan of Hakkeshu, there are two posdibilities about the story. Either they written a fake journal for the next gen of the 3 clans and the truth journal are written and hiding in plain sight, either they written the truth journal for next gen of 20th. Century (For Saisyu and Iori's father) and not telling to Kyo and Iori until the time comes for the right moment...or....Everything is a lie. Lol (just kidding about everything is a lie but the rest are only two options). When the world is a Doublethink, when the years are 2+2=5. And when their fathers are hiding to their sons and friends many secrets.
I agree with you, I don't want Shingo to use pyrokinesis, but I think time manipulation might be too much for him...although it could be cool to see him do a move like MvC2 Cable's Time Flip.

Shingo is what a massive KOF fan would look like and I love him for it
Deep red: 600-800 °C (1112-1800 °F) (Nameless)
Orange: 1100 °C (2012 °F) (Kyo, K')
Blue: 1400-1650 °C (2600-3000 °F) (Shingo maybe)
Purple: 39400 °C (71000 °F) (Iori, Chris)
Kyo's & K's Orange Flames are weaker than Iori's & Chris's Purple Flames. Shingo on the other hand we don't know which color of his flames will be in XV. Even if was mentioned in manga. Red and Orange Flames represents life, Purple flames represents poison and death but the Blue one...for me represents peace and purity and like water. Yes Shingo will have the flames like Kyo not Blue one. Maybe Iori's sister has it the Blue one 'cause during the Orochi Saga while Iori was occupied maybe she maked in secret a ritual of exorcise with the help of Chizuru but outside of Japan, thats my opinion and my theory. Plus i garantee that the manga is completly canon and a bit spoiler for ch. 10 of Gaiden (sorry). Magai regained his senses, he teamed with Yamato and defeated Yakumo possesed by Goenitz but still the Hakkeshu controls Yasakani/Yagami, and if my theory is correct or wait...I tell this in few seconds later. Shingo returned to present, he want it to tell Iori about his ancestor but Iori attacked him and laugh like an arrogant. Thats all (I hate this ending, I thought if Iori was listening to Shingo what really happend for real than attack him, then he can change his mind to not have the purple flames anymore and have a regular flame.) One thing. DIO: ZA WARDO. TOKI YO TOMARE....RODA ROLLA DA. MUDADADADADADADA MUDA. SOSHITE TOKI WA UGOKIDASU. KOREGA ZA WARDO DA. SHINE KAKYOIN.

As funny as it sounds, I defeated Orochi in KOF 97, on my PS4, by placing him first, because I was not confident that I would defeat Orochi. I got the Gold Trophy, "Apocalypse Denied" (Defeat Orochi with a single character), and the screen capture is Orochi suspended in the air, with Shingo at the tail end of an attack doing an afterimage!

You missed some important things about that manga. Magai's wife says that a time-paradox or a change in the future won't happen because Shingo's "world" and their world are not the same (this means Shingo were in a different timeline or another universe) and she says "our worlds are not the same but a STRANGE power managed to CONNECT them", if you remember that manga takes place after KOF XIV events and in Ash's team story Dolores says "The Crucible of the Souls CONNECTS all universes and makes all possibilities to converge". The point here is Shingo has no time power or something and that past wasn't the "original" (maybe another timeline or universe but im inclined it was another universe), that's why Mature and Vice didn't recognize him.
They wouldn't be able to recognize him in anyway since it's their first time seeing him. But Shingo should've recognized them IF he met them in the present, which he didn't as I explained.

Anyway, when K9999 returned as Krohnen, one of the things I really dislike is how SNK remove his psychic powers.
His psychic abilities was one of the reasons why I prefer K9999 over Nameless and what made him unique compare to other 'Kyo Clones' (even if K9999 is NOT an actual clone)
Now Krohnen is like Nameless, another fire user, that's lame.
There about 18 fire usersin lof now considering now k9999 is fire user now😐. k9999 is just nameless with normal orange flames . They really nerfed him with the removal of his psychic powers.
There are lot of abilities not explored in the franchise enough .like ice,water,lightning,psychic,light, air, Technology, Dark magic like Dou lon and earth but the king and queen of that belongs to Mukai and Delores .
At this point Fire user in kof are boring .😂. It's an excuse to solve all problems. Orochi-call iori and kyo.
Also Snk should stop putting Orochi back into main plot and give other villains spotlight hence why those from the past are the most boring villains despite having the one of the best designs. Alot of potential wasted on these guys.
Then the Nest Saga having the best villains in the franchise . Humans proving to be a world threat without the aid of ancient power.
The Orochi saga having the most evil villains in saga. with likes of Genitz and Orochi by damging the lifehoods of Hiedern,Leona and Chizuru.

Well, here's what I think of how Shingo knows about the existence of Mature and Vice and how he knows they're both Hakkesshu.
When Chizuru asked for his help in teaming up with Kyo and Iori in his place after losing her sacred treasure to Ash Crimson before the events of KOF XI began, she told him all about Orochi, about the three clans and why this feud between the Kusanagi and the Yagami exists to this day.
And when the two went to see the finals of KOF XIII together with the audience, Chizuru seeing who Iori teamed up with to enter the tournament, she must have told Shingo about Mature and Vice and that they are Hakkesshu, the enemies of the Yata, Kusanagi and Yasakani clans. It is because of this that Shingo recognized them in the manga, Chizuru told him everything she knew about these two snakes during the events of Tales of Ash.

In the end of KOF 97, when Kyo and Iori try to finish Orochi, Kyo secretly use power of scared sword to send Shingo back to the time when Yagami clan first make contact of Orochi. And put little power of flame in Shingo
When he got in the past, he see all 3 clans fight with Orochi (Eight head snake form) and save Yuki's ancestor by using Kusanagi's move
Iori's ancestor came to place that seal Orochi, got caught and put to jail, here he got mind-break by Goenitz voice that his wife got tortute and kill by Kusanagi, angry then he accept to break seal change his clan to Yagami and flame became purple
All Hakkesshu releash rush to Kusanagi but got sealed again by Shingo, this time Shingo using Shiki Orochinagi with red flame appear on his finger
Shingo's critical strike can freeze enimies, he used it to defeate Omega Rugal in 98
