I been a KOF fan for Almost 20 years and I did not notice that Iori can sometimes use a red flame, and the cool part of it jut not for cosmetics effect but a part of his story defying his ancestry

@@meganinten0078 Mai is overrated. I like her but I feel that most people that put her a her favorite aren't snk fans, capcom fans that only played CvS series, or rarely play kof. There's so many good female characters but even beautiful ones get over looked by casual players. Also shes not the only busty character in KOF. I guess showing off gets you near the top favorite.

@@sladejosephwilson2300 Completely disagree. I've been a fan of Mai since I played with her back in the arcades in Fatal Fury 2. I'd say older SNK fans are more prone to be Mai fans than modern ones, who'd probably switch their sights to another modern female character like Iroha or Angel.
Mai's best girl, not only because she's a fire user, but because of her aesthetic.
She's one of the cooler and more original looking characters to me.

@ANDREW VEGA They've been training with him from years and didn't have the legal age until KoF, makes sense he trained them in a different way. Also, probably being drunk is incompatible with using psychic powers.
Nameless is probably my favorite of the fire users. I feel like even though his position in the series is mostly non-canon, I felt that he had a pretty distinct and robust backstory that is worthwhile for exploration. I really like the dichotomous portrayal of his ice and fire. He uses it differently than other characters imo.
And honestly regarding Iori, I might be one of the few that preferred him without flames. It was cool to see him excel on physical skill alone in XIII.

This is a very creative list! I’m guessing Chin didn’t teach Athena or Kensou his Drunken Fist techniques because they are underaged. Great job and I was surprised Kyo came before Iori but then again, it makes sense since he can do some things I haven’t seen Kyo could do.
As much as I like Andy he should’ve been an honorable mention cause everyone of those utilize fire a hell of a lot more than he does.
Andy should just default as an honourable mention in every category aside from "top guys Mai is trying to marry" 🤣

No, she's from KOF Maximum Impact 2. But she basically imitates Hanzo Hattori from Samurai Shodown, with very few differences

@@yoman8027 Maximum impact 2, he has the fire kick which burns the opponent when it hits ( he had it in real bout 2 aswell but it doesn't cause fire damage )

Nagase only has three fire moves.

K' is my favorite main character in KOF 😎
It is a shame he lost his rival (K9999)
I liked their interactions in KOF 2001 and 2002.
Speaking of K9999, too bad he wasn't in the honorable mentions.
Nameless is K9999, so he is in the list. ;) Nameless replace only comestic because K9999's original design was a copy of Tetsuo from Akira (Japanese manga).

I prefer K9999 because of his powers and his personality.

You have 10 fire using fighters in this video and they ALL play different. I must say she's not "stealthy" because she's a kunoichi: she uses her beauty to charm the opponent and make them lower their guard.
And about her being the only female flame user in the series... I think you have forgotten about Leona or even Athena (she can produce flames through her sword when donning the powers of her ancestor/previous incarnation).
And from the Maximum Impact series you have the Beart sisters (both have fire spells) and Nagase.
Leona doesn't count for me.
Athena is just one move.
(Same for Ninon and Mignon)
Nagase is the only one I can agree.
Maybe that is why she was Kula's rival.
She was pretty.

Tfw you realize is the only character who uses both red and blue flames. Also his XIII and Real Bout quotes imply hes capable of manipulating the flames of others or at least not as susceptible as others to it. It's yet to be shown but its a neat detail to chew on.

Finally the king of fires the main 3 difficult to pick one.
I was surprised that Shun Ei didn't make it before Verse lol. I think this should have been 10 fire users instead of top 10. Now that you mention it Mai is unique in her fire use. In maximum impact series there's 2 mages who can use fire magic Mignon Beart and Ninon Beart also I think in a Athena transformation maybe psychic 9 she can burn the enemy but I'll double check it. Mui Mui in 14 seems to release some sort of fire energy but it doesn't burn the enemy. There may be another outlier.

Wait,kyo isn't number one? I mean he can set himself on fire, make fire walls, punch with fire, blow up the opponent with fire, pretty much all his special moves are fire based . His symbol is the sun, which symbolises his ability to make fire. He has been grown by the kusanagi, a clan which specialises on flames. Seriously, the iori fan base needs to chill, I know he's more favoured than Kyo, but when it comes to fire, he's nowhere compared to Kyo. Kyo has always been a better fire user. Just my opinion

Iori totally deserved n°1 , Kyo's advantage against Iori is the proffessional trainning by his father since childhood and working hard on perfecting his skills by himself , but when it comes to fire 🔥, Iori definitely surpasses him .

Reasons why Kyo should have been number 1 instead of Iori (in my own opinion).
1 - Appeared in all KoF, Iori wasn't in the first game.
2 - His moveset is much bigger than Iori's.
3 - Kyo uses fire in every single entrance he's been. Iori lacked his flames in XIII (and no, an alternate non-canon DLC version doesn't count).
4 - His symbol is a sun.
5 - In lore, his existence brought many other characters to life/empowerment: K', Kyo-1, Kyo-2, K9999, Nameless and Kusanagi; and probably Kula.
Fair enough.
