Have you ever wondering, why every time you make something out of clay by hand (handbuilding), the result won't be as smooth as using a pottery wheel?
Well, in this video, you don't need a pottery wheel to make perfect pottery. Because your own hands can do that!
Instead, the imperfections from this handbuilding technique could be so interesting! Hence, in this video, I will show you a tutorial to make use of your magical finger touch into a unique texture mini bowl. Enjoy watching~

This is beautiful! Have always been curious to do pottery but it is messy having a wheel and no space where I live; don't think an apartment complex would allow me to have one either! But I like this idea for burning palo santo and white sage for smudging and rituals! This is a must try for sure!!! ❤️🙏🏼

Hi I've just discovered your channel and I'm loving your work, I'm also a hand builder (no wheel) I'm not sure if your teapot needs it but we usually put a tiny hole in the lid which allows air in as you pour.......I'm going to try and make a teapot too 😃

Thank you! Yes, I fired it in the pottery kiln because I used stoneware clay. :)

For how many hours did you let the clay dry, before trimming it and after howany hours do you do the sponging(smoothening) could you please mention the time frame 🙂
Hi! In this video, I just waited for around 2 hours before trimming it (but depends on you too, recently I just need around 1 hour) but as long as you find that your clay doesn't get deform when you touched it, you can start trimming it. And you can just sponge right after you trim. Hope this helps you! 🙌🏻

Wanted to start the hobby but a $$$ for a wheel isn't available...now can get a used lazy Suzanne tack on a raised center and start allowing my energies of creation channeled to clay. Now am not so pressured about building a wheel. Can take time to choose a decent DIY that some one has put together.....or maybe will just stay primitive...

Do you bake them or air drying
I use stoneware clay, so it'll be fired in the kiln. :)
