- Friedel of the travellingtwo.com bicycle touring website demonstrates the Take-A-Look rearview bicycle mirror that she and her husband Andrew used on their 3-year world bike trip. For a fuller review of this mirror, you can go to our site: travellingtwo.com/resources/ta...
I just received my mirror from Amazon. Great video. I'm sure I would have figured it out, but watching it installed on your helmet made it a breeze! I took it on its maiden voyage to church this morning and it worked like a charm. No more veering into the weeds as I look back over my shoulder.
Thanks for the help on installing and adjusting the mirror!
I did almost the same thing but use black zip ties instead of duct tape. I also shortened one of the wires by taking it apart and cutting it,peening it, then pushed it back in the tube joint. This put it closer to my eye, so I see more.
Hi if you move the mirror to the other side of your helmet the long arm should roate 180 degrees and now the mirror is in the right position, with the short arm under the mirror vs over.
Thanks for posting this and explaining everything so clearly. I know I'd have thought, before ordering, that how to attach the mirror would be obvious, but I see that I'd have been a bit befuddled upon seeing it for the first time. But attaching it WILL be easy now that I've gotten your instructions.
Glad you enjoyed the video everyone. If we can help with anything else, just contact us through our site. Happy cycling!
Thanks for a great tutorial. Very useful, as I just received this item in the mail and was having trouble setting it up.
Thanks for this. The mounting directions provided were not clear enough to remove the fear of destruction by manhandling.
Tim, we have the longer version. I think it's a bit easier to focus on, but I've never tried the shorter version. The one we bought is the only one REI sells, which I guess says something as well.
Thanks for the helpful .installation video I bought my mirror 2 or 3 month ago and I was having trouble installing on my glasses this set up work better. Again thanks
Great suggestion buddy. This worked for me in Australia.
I have this mirror and it is great and your video is super.
Thank you for the help. I was a little clueless until I watched the vid!
Now i want a helmet like yours. I have the same mirror, but it won't mount on my helmet either of the two ways you showed. I'd have to drill holes or something drastic. I use it on my sunglasses. I must say, once used to the mirror, I don't want to ride without it! I'd rather have mine helmet mounted.
excellent presentation
Very helpful thankyou deb from Australia
Got mine today. Thanks for the informative review!
thank you!!
THANK YOU!!!!
Mucho thanks! Set it up on my helmet in 30 seconds after watching this. Thank you.
@DiGiTaLdAzEDM I don't know if Bike Peddler have a site. I have also Googled it without luck. Sorry.
Sadly finding out after I've spent the money..this mirror is not truly left side efficient as the mirror likely is to be as the vision would be a vertical view rather than the broader horizontal . I would have preferred that they mirror both sides or sell them side mount specific.
nice ...thanks a lot.
is it compact size or original one on presentation ?
i had the same mirror purchased from USA; i am in UK
but lost it in 2 days somewhere in the street. How do you adjust in UK?
it's not easy i though
Canadian, eh? Nice review.
This seems to be far superior to another mirror that attaches to the frame and gets blacked out each time the left leg swings forward.
