Touché and La Dispute are contemporaries. The latter have a couple of extra years as a band, but they both kind of broke around the same time from what I remember. Torch bearers for real post-hardcore.

Maybe my “not caring” about La Dispute is because of all the teenage girls who had that flower logo tattooed on them and quoting King Park all day. Touche Amore is far superior. TA is way more poetic and puts on a way better live show too. Go check out the entire “Parting The Seas...” album. It’ll only cost you 20ish minutes of your day, and you’ll have your mind blown.
