Zeibekiko (Greek: Ζεϊμπέκικο) is a Greek folk dance, the dance is of free choreographic structure.
Awesome 6th Annual Greek Festival Event was unfolded at a New Venue - location (San Juan Capistrano Community Center at 25925 Camino Del Avion) in San Juan Capistrano, California on Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30, 2018. Event was sponsored by Saint Basil Greek Orthodox church!! The Greek Gourmet Cuisine & Pastries were Out-of-this-World - "Superb" and the Spirits (Taverna Booth) were anxiously waiting for US ALL for Additional Kefi (Spirit of Joy)!! Awesome entertainment was provided by Takis Kokotas S. (Superb Vocals artist), Alekos G. (Incredible/Superb Bouzouki artist), Dimitris P. (Fantastic Organ artist), Super DJ - Peter L. during band breaks and Special Guest Star from Thessaloniki, Greece - the talented and beautiful Elena Palaga!! Event hosted Greek Folk Dance Outstanding Performances by “Meraklides” who won 1st Place in Greek 2017 Folk Dance Competition, additionally performances by “Aetos”, “Asterakia”, “Paralia” and last, the “Apron Dancers”.
Festival Kick-Off was the Breaking of Plates, a tradition in the Greek culture. Event also had cooking demonstrations with Bob S. - “The Greek Griller”, dancing lessons were provided to guests by the famous and talented Greek folk dancer, John B., also there was a Kid’s Zone for all children to play and enjoy, as well as various merchants displaying jewelry, and various other miscellaneous merchandise. An event for an entire family with their children to enjoy and taste the Delicious Greek cuisine and pastries, as well as the Taverna (Spirits Booth)!!
