Okay I'm 4 months late, but let me explain what exactly happened.
In the video, the man puts on the octopus on his head for the first few seconds of the video, which then cuts to him puking blood into a skull. This is why mark had a change of tone after commenting about the octopus. Naturally you'd judge the first thing you see, and I can assure you that I had the same reaction the first time I see it too.
