FIrst of all, thank you a lot for the video, it was a fun watch and gave me a few idea !
about the various thing mentionned in the video :
-Lack of content, it is still a demo, so it's obviously lacking content, there is a ton of new content I can't wait to make and add into the game
-Music : you don't have to worry about copyright, they are all custom made, the game indeed lack new musics, as the fight one is more of a placeholder than a final music (I'm also looking for someone to help with that part and a sound designer)
-Weapon : there is 13 weapon as of now, there is diminushing return, each weapon divide the chance of having a new weapon by 2, so after 4/6 weapon, they become realy rare
-Balancing, I've seen some people complain about the elite health, I'll be adressing this issues in the next update !
edit : Elite balancing should be live now !
Enemies should have more colors because now they can be barely seen.
Youre doing a great job dude, keep it up!
Agreed this is a great game can't wait to buy it.
I love how the golden relics completely dictates how you play the game if you get one. 6:12 If you get a turtle relic, forget everything you thought you were gonna do because now turtling up is the new best strategy, especially since thorns goes up to 500% the damage taken goes back
I see "Bullet Heaven", I click.
Simple people have simple pleasures.
Opposite for me
29:27 fun fact, turtle could probably take and then heal back most of the damage you were taking. Then it would just be his healthpool vs yours, and you deal way more damage than him
Yea he dealt 100% of the damage back and the Regen he would have gotten would save him from the boss damage... Along with the extra defense he took that's about half the boss damage done gone and reflected back... With regen... I was so sad when he ignored it
Was thinking the same thing especially since he ignored speed and dash. Should have just gone all in on being slow and tanky.
I love when they actually make the games difficult and not just you can win every run because you OP, makes it so fun.
Has a relic that turns movement speed into attack speed. Doesn't take the "double movement speed after taking damage" relic :D
Couldn’t believe he ignored that upgrade.
Oooo I'm down for this. The one thing I've not liked about the bullet heaven genre is the lack of level development. This is a good step.
finally this genre got a STS style map, it needed something like this. i'm liking this one a lot more than most of the recently released ones
4:51 His stutter and "ooh" as he sees the big damage increase
The pixelated 3d diorama look is wonderful
I'm liking the barrage of bullet heavens recently.
While rough, this game has a ton of promise. It’s a rough gem among a sea of cut and polished glass.
I played this a couple days ago and was blown away at how good it was! My only issue was I didn't like that there is no visual for your starting weapon. But once u get past that the game is just epic!
I like how the camera is a little tilted. Combined with dynamic lights it loos gorgeous
20:57 My dum min-max brain fried seeing you skip this relic when you also had one that made you mov speed affect atk speed
Game seems interesting, I love games that go wild in upgrades/relics effects
Yoooo me tooooo I was so hurt I had to put my head down😂 I’m like “YOU SAID YOU WANTED DAMAGE “ game looks interesting though . Still love the customization of magic survival better but I’m digging the way he genre is flowing
Yeah, I think his problem is that when you're facing an enemy doing a lot of damage, his worst fear would be getting a forced speed boost as he moves toward it
@@aguyontheinternet8436 I can understand that I’m a mad lad who thinks speed is the most important stat in any game that requires you to survive or reach an objective. My philosophy is “they can’t kill you if they can’t hit/catch you”.
@@aguyontheinternet8436 Or you could get a burst of speed to…move in the opposite direction of the baddy chasing you.
Wander is often guilty of not really thinking stuff through when he’s showcasing new games. Can’t blame him though, probably just didn’t click as he was more focused on just playing the game than thinking about it.
this looks like a nice combo with the relics and such, hope it fleshes out
ah yes. my favorite game. slay the spire.
thank you youtube for telling me what the game is.
(its youtube that puts that there, right?)
Why did you not want more speed when you are hit, there was no downside and that also would have increased your attack speed. I am confused.
Another fine game added to my collection of..
237?
This honestly looks awsome
I actually think this one was amazing I like the relic addition
Amazing :))
haha
Yeah !! 🌍
I really like the 2.5D graphics.
3:36 the illusion of choice. Why were you thinking so hard on this
with wanting more control they coul split each one into different classes, and each level you pick a class and get a random ability from that class
Great game, just needs more maps and different game types.
This music reminds me of the Mother Russia Bleeds.
music is dope
I really like the idea of the map where you have levels and quests, so less of a roguelike, but the game itself looks a lot less satisfying than say vampire survivors, something about the effects isn't that good Idk feels like it at least, especially hit effect
Are there any Bullet Heavens on the Nintendo Switch y'all would recommend?
i loved happy souls (if its the video im thinking of.)
Idk how I feel about extremely tanky bosses in this genre.
Game looks promising but I'm not gonna play it unless they reduce the elite HP to like 30% of what it currently is. Killing that guy was a boring slog
Dev posted above in thread - elite health has been adjusted.
50% less hp is a lot maybe 30% less, the are elites
why not calll them "one-man army" games
lmao first :D
For my taste even demo needs more music. This one beat gone boring very quickly and those recommended pc specs are weird. Like there is no optimization. Buy graphics are good.
"Survivor-like" get it right!
Nah. That's a way worse genre name.
@@opetyr Why use "[game]-like" when we have viable alternatives. The issue with Roguelike and Soulslike is that we never found anything better that actually worked.
I mean, can you imagine game awards 10+ years from now where half the categories are just about -likes?
Okay, trigger time.
If you REALLY want genre names to make more sense - stop using the word 'roguelike' to describe 90% of games you encounter that have zero common features with Rogue. Seriously. We can help each other, mister Wanderbot. This will be a great start for our genre crusade. We can make genre names make sense.
It's fun, but man, is it janky. The performance is abysmal - barely 105 frames on medium with a high-end gaming setup? 45 frames on ultra? What even? Visually, it's also probably one of the ugliest games I've played all year due to the weird 2.5d implementation, so I wouldn't say it justified the performance hit... Also, amusingly, Green and Blue are switched in options.
Mechanically it's quite fun, though. Lots of interesting build possibilities. Just poorly scaled and balanced - the boss is an ungodly slog despite having great mechanics (i.e., having actual mechanics beyond being a wad of health and death), and the swarming pattern in the encounter makes getting hit virtually impossible to avoid. Pickups being lost to the void on end of level also sucks pretty badly. Still, in terms of actually putting a nice twist on the bullet heaven formula, I have to say it does have plenty of potential. I like it. I just wish it didn't have such godawful performance. It must be unplayable on lower end specs.
Unlocking content is fine, but persistent upgrades suck. Fun should be in the moment rather than building for some future run that may never come. If a game is too hard, balance the frelling thing!
i can't stand games that look like this please stop :(
Vampire Survivors ripoff.
Considering Vampire Survivors is a ripoff itself, your point's kinda moot.
