  • A Hong Kong seam, also referred to as seam binding, is most often used in garments without lining to finish the raw edges of a seam. This method saves money by not eliminating the need for a lining while adding interest to the garment and a beautiful finish on the inside.

      To reduce bulk, i would bind the seam allowance of your armhole and sleeve together. Check out my bias binding tutorial.
