If I were to make something using this method that would be machine washed often, wouldn't the raw edge become unraveled? I thought I saw that it was still there and not encapsulated in any way, or am I mistaken? It is such a beautiful finish that I would love to use; however, I am afraid for my projects to come unraveled.
Too late now, by about 5 years, but your sewing would be a whole lot easier if you would pay attention to the direction you put your pins. Being able to pull the pin toward you to remove it when you sew up to it is bunches easier than what you're doing.
CA Minnie Magoo lol yeah not sure why I did it that way. I probably started without realizing the direction of my pins. I usually pin horizontally actually! Thanks for the tidbit anyway!
Thank you! This is beautiful work! I so thoroughly dislike the too many videos for ironing on hem tape in stiffening fabric!

ja H it keeps the edge pretty well covered. You can pink the edge first if you’re worried about it.

Even puting the pins in horizontal the machine glides over them!
