If I saw that as backwards compatible I'd buy the XBONES if it was a remaster or Remake or better yet a new game more like it then the first Jet Set Radio, then I'd Immediately buy a Double X because that is my favorite game on the original Xbox and I'd say is in my top 20 games sadly though Microsoft didn't do anything close to that so they missed, Meanwhile Nintendo Showed me why my investment into a Switch was a great idea and that my 3DS is still going to get some use serously most exciting people besides Nintendo this year was oddly Ubisoft and partially because of there crossover project with Nintendo but this is what got everyone in the west's attention meanwhile in japan they're more excited about Monster Hunter World and an HD collection for Dot Hack GU, but I don't care if Japan doesn't care for Metroid because this along with Mario Odyssey just has me so hype right now!
Aye Bayonetta 3 got announced in 2017 and they barely got a look at it like a week ago so. Soon. Plus, MP4 did get completely scrapped and started brand new like, what, a year into development when they hired Retro Studios to make it? Patience.
what kills me is that no other trailer or game demo besides the two Metroids got this much energy. even the dude in the Mario suit at 0:11 had to lean on the wall to collect himself. Show me other games that got this kind of happiness at E3 from the other guys
I think a similar reaction, if not a larger one if Valve were to announce Half Life 3...... i just got done with HL2's campaign, and well, not going to spoil, but there's a reason why people demand a third installment.
Could say the same with Nintendo, another Pokemon, another Yoshi, another Kirby, another Musou game... And Microsoft didn't just show FPS, have you seen this year's conference?
They took it away from one mismanaged studio and gave it to another.. as much as we all love what Retro has done, hardly anyone involved with Metroid is left there and the studio itself has years of history involving mismanagement, crunch, lack of focus. I mean.. the first Prime was a miracle simply because it came out at all.. and it only happened because Miyamoto came in and gave everyone a whipping.
To all those who wouldn't buy the Switch with no Metroid, i'm glad that this may have changed your mind. If you do end up getting one, definitely grab the pro controller. It's pricy but trust me, it's the best damn controller ever made, especially for a game like this.
