Every time I watch this, I cry. Especially when Miyamoto comes out. I can't even imagine what my life would have been like if he never existed.

This sounds dramatic, but I probably would have been dead. I was really depressed when I was younger, and remastered ocarina of time on my 3ds helped me get through that.

Because people there was crying for the emotion. This reveal was just too epic. No more to say. Some press and fans there were leaving the presentation when the trailer began and had to come back running to their seats. After all this zelda was what people was expecting for years after ocarina of time.

The Nintendo Directs will never be as exciting as real live audience reactions to AAA titles. Just imagine this trailer being shown via Nintendo Direct but without any audience reaction. Not as impactful imo.

I don't know why people didn't like this game as much as the others. This game was a beast.
It's my favourite Zelda game and one of my all time favourite games. I don't even understand how anyone could dislike it.
It's a great game for sure, but it just has some annoying elements (Wolf Link fetch quests anyone?).
That said, it's infinitely better than Skyward Sword.

By then a lot of people were really familiar with all the puzzles you find in a zelda game, so it was pretty easy for longtime zelda players. I thought it was pretty easy at the time, but I loved the atmosphere and story.
I really think the new zelda will be a dark one there's a patern:
(oot, MAJORA, windwaker, TWILIGHT, skyward sword, ZELDA U)
It's a good game, one of my favorites actually, but when you were playing as the wolf the gameplay seemed... uh... 'small' cause you accomplish very little as the wolf. There should have been more areas only accessible by the wolf.

I think it’s the greatest teaser of all time. Specially given the circumstances when it came out. It was after wind waker and everybody wanted a “non cartoony” next entry in the series. Then this drops and heads explode.

The GameCube wasn't doing so hot back then also. I don't know, I think they can do it. Even if the GameCube didn't sell well, it's still one of my favorite systems. I hope if the Wii U doesn't take off, Nintendo at least delivers with their own games like they did with the GameCube. And maybe the Wii U sucessor is a success, like the Wii was.

A much as I would like to see another reaction like this Saturday, today's gamers changed. Zelda is considered "kiddie shit" by the audience Spike caters to.
And that is sad. It bugs me that people will write off a game because it looks kiddie. Kirby's Epic Yarn is CLEARLY geared towards a much younger audience but it is still a fun game....... and it is also a great game to play with your girlfriend........ now only if I had one.

but man, nothing will ever beat the sheer fucking badassery of twilight princess, the perfect balance of dark and silly, nostalgia and new, it was such an overall good game from start to finish and Midna, the best sidekick ever made stole the spot

THIS is how you present a Zelda game, not with a girly Link face holding a sword (yes, I'm looking at you Skyward Sword); I still get goosebumps when I watch this video, Ocarina of Time left everyone wanting more, and Wind Waker did a good job, but everyone wanted another adult badass Link game, Twilight Princess delivered, and stands as my second favorite Zelda game.
Agreed, I personally love all of the Zelda games but Twilight Princess was just so badass! And I have a feeling Zelda Wii U is going to be epic as well.

Yeah TP will, in my opinion, always be probably the most epic, but I think Zelda U is going to be amazing. Nintendo doesn't really tend to toot their own horn yet with this one they have said on multiple occasions that it will be the greatest Zelda game ever. Either way I know I'm going to love it.

I really hope the LoZ game coming for the Wii U will follow this art style! Not that the others were bad, I loved WindWaker and Skyward's style, but Nintendo needs to harness that Wii U graphics chip and give us something like the tech demo; and that tech demo was on beta hardware specs too!

I was 11 when OoT came out- my first video game ever. I was a senior in high school when this happened. It felt like a lifetime had passed, and the excitement for this moment is UNMATCHED. Still always makes me smile ❤

I really love nintendo's community. The fact that there's no much Third Party games on the nintendo consoles makes the people closer together. There's less bullshit games that's on every other platforms. The games are very unique and the fanbase is rock solid. It feels like the nintendo community is more based on long lasting fun and true happyness. Look for example Satoru Iwata's death. I don't think if a president of playstation or xbox died, there would be the same reaction. I mean probably, yes, but I don't think it'll be as big of a deal like nintendo. Still my opinion.
+Kahlo kahlow I feel the same as you do! If two Nintendo fans meet, they will easily share opinions and preferences, but still be different enough. That's the beauty of such simplicity! I mean, I enjoyed Captain Toad much more than more complex games like Twilight Princess, even though I love Twilight Princess.

Nintendo got too popular now. The community isn't as tight knit as it was before the Switch. Now there's endless third party games on the Switch, which would be fine if Nintendo's quality checker was better.

I just realised how F-ing lucky we were. WW was released in Europe 2003, and TP in 2006. Only 3,5 years wait in between two main console Zelda games, and there were only 2 years between OoT and MM as well. Imagine if we got that now!
Because BotW 2 has a much bigger scale of content.
