- After a lot of research on how to retrofit bigger tires on the Razor Ground Force, I came up with this setup. All the info from the sprocket to the clutch and bigger tires is below. I’m not much of a tech wiz so I copied the descriptions of my parts.
T8F 8mm 44T Sprocket Chain Drive with Axle Axle Shaft Hub Free Wheel Adapter
shaft 1/2 5/8, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, 1, 1-1/16, 1-1/8, 1 1/4

Gekufa Go Kart Sprocket Hub with 3/4" Bore & 3/16" Keyway Fit for Go-Karts and Mini Bikes, Sprocket and Drum Mounting Hub (Hardware Included)
Uxcell a16041400ux0830 Round Rod Coupling Nut M10 Female Thread Rod bar Stud Metal Round Coupling Connector Nuts 10 Pcs
Regarding the rod bar, I had to screw these to the axle. It’s just a coupling and then take a cut bolt and screw that in and the nut will screw tight into that.
With the sprocket hub, get longer bolts and crank down evenly on it so the wheel sits straight. It’s a two piece harbor freight 8” wheel.
The cable will be larger diameter than what the throttle is for the engine. Just customize it as you wish. As far as the throttle, I’m using a thumb throttle control, haven’t got that far so hope it works smooth.
Any questions let me know. Thanks - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I also modded my son's ground force drifter with larger rear tires. Gave it the 10" vevor 4" wide wheel/tire. Used a keyed hub just like that. It has a 48v 1800w motor with a 13T. This thing FLIES with the wheel/sprocket setup. Lost some torque, but when it picks up, my son gets moving.
Videos like these deserve more likes I he bent Found anyone except yourself explain how you can use air tires great job thank you
Thanks man. I’ve been racking my head on this. I’ve been trying to get the harbor freight wheels to mount for a couple weeks now.
thanks I think I'll do this mod this was incredibly helpful!
I saw pictures of the ground force with razor dune buggy tires, maybe you can get those for the front
That's dope that's what I'm doing now
Where did you get the rear axle from
did you have to put a difrent axel on the gocart to put on the Sprocket Hub and can you put the Sprocket Hub on the front axel
When you first added the motor, did you have issues with sueing? I still have original front wheels and they swivel or something that for me afraid to go to 3 speed on my 48v 2000w setup. If so, how did you solve it? Anyone?
I do notice the screws used on the tire rod end and the bracket (knuckle?) That holds the spindle are both loose but I wiggle both wheels and don't really feel anything.
I'm planning on using punched iron to hold 5/8 inch bolt to act as the bracket and spindle to connect to the tire rod end so I could use harbor freight wheels.
Anyone, help.
Links to the items would be nice.
Could you teach me how to do this or mod one for me? I just bought my son one last month. Then went on FB marketplace and picked up three more. One for my daughter and want to mod one for myself.
what size of wheel is that 10 inch?
Where’s the links to the tire/wheel conversion?
I tryed this on my dunebuggy but the hub is 1mm to small
How does that 20mm rear axle fit through the wheel hub bore? Did you have to knock out the bearing and replace it? The harbor freight ones near me all have 5/8" bore with the bearings but I love your solution.
That's what I was thinking. Most wheels I found are 20mm
@@pedrodeleon3656 picked up a set of the harbor freight wheels today. They're called 8" wheels but are actually 9". The tire itself is even labeled as a 9" (2.50-4 printed on the sidewall)
@@pedrodeleon3656 alright I got the wheels. The rear right axle is keyed and steps down a bit where the wheel rotates. That part of the axle is actually 18mm diameter and uses a 5mm key for the keyway.
The left rear is a standard 10mm axle which is nice and easy. 8mm axles on the front are a bit annoying but oh well.
The harbor freight wheels do not fit over that axle at all. He either shaved the rest of the stepped axle part down or is free floating it and putting the strain on the adapter part to keep whe wheel lined up.
I'm designing a custom hub to replace the keyed wheel that will accept pneumatic tires from 6-8"
@@NoHateJustSkate1 did you ever make a custom hub?
@@timlarson1142 I did! The whole rear right axle is keyed so I 3d printed a few test fits until it was right and then I had a friend machine the hub so the kart could take larger pneumatic wheels.

If I want to do this but leave my son's razor motor the stock electric, will it still have enough power ? Or will I need a bigger sprocket?
It would have enough power and also be faster. If you figure out how to do it maybe make a video on it. Would love to see. Was thinking of doing the same thing.
any mods for bigger front wheels? I did the same with the rear but I used the original plastic wheels from the drifter, Milled out the sides and kept the middle spindle as a key to go into the center of the hf wheel
Hey guys I'm looking to put bigger wheels on my son's ground force, can you put links in the description for the bigger wheels . And the hubs ... thanks in advance
Did you find the links
Can you use the same hub to install those wheels in the front as well?
You can use bushings for that two 5/16 x 5/8 x 3/4 will do the job
