0:05 An important to read your owner's manual and see what features and functions your car has.
0:31 Whole rear axle assembly would need to be replaced. Hopefully, the customer will get it fixed soon enough! The vehicle was in for its yearly M.O.T. inspection in the UK.
0:46 An easy removal.
0:52 No issue found at this time.
1:01 Customer declined to get the CD player replaced/fixed.
1:08 Floormat in the way causing this issue for the customer.
1:17 No issue found.
1:30 The technician was surprised by a raccoon when this truck was in for a service.
1:36 The spark plugs were not properly gapped causing multiple cylinder misfires. New OEM plugs installed and properly gapped.
1:47 Only the suspension was fixed, not the bodywork.
1:57 Surprised the customer managed to drive this in. The ball joint was installed and the four new tires as well.
2:12 Hopefully the customer gets it repaired soon.
2:20 Not the best/cleanest place to leave a snack...
2:26 The technician used his phone cable/usb cable and it fixed the issue.
2:36 The oil pan was replaced.
2:42 This vehicle was just in for an oil change and the technician noticed this spray foam.
2:47 First oil change on customer's 2022 Toyota Camry and they crashed it when leaving. The customer had apparently dropped his glasses.

I don't know how people can survive in life, considering how absolutely clueless they are! Every time I watch one of these videos, I'm continually shocked by the stuff people go to a repair shop for, and then am horrified to think that these people are probably driving these death traps they refuse to get fixed, on the same roads as me! It's enough to make you question the validity of the driver's license testing program, that's for sure! 😅🤮🤪🤯🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ When I was younger, I used to joke that a bad driver must have gotten their license out of a Cracker-Jack box, but now I don't think that's too far off the mark, these days! 😮 Dangerous barely even begins to describe what these people are!

On one hand, it really shows how dimwitted people are when they don't take notice of some features on their car like the manual door release on the first clip. On the other hand, carmakers have managed to make a solution to a problem NOBODY had by fitting electronic door handles to cars. Someone please explain to me what was wrong with a regular, manual door handle.
I agree wholeheartedly. Though I do feel for the dimwitted people of the world, their life is tough and they don't know it.
I suppose it’s too much to hope for that the salesperson who discussed the car’s features told the individual about the manual door release.
They are confortable, like even if you have your hands full you can easily open the doors, and sometimes you just accept that it's a feature that works as intended.
Some doors are heavy, correct?
I'm able bodied, but some of these changes that don't make sense to able bodied people are useful for disabled people/people with low strength/elders.
But also features are added to encourage folk to buy the latest new thing, so 🤷♂️
I originally thought maybe due to the proximity remotes, but my 94 and 95 Corvettes had proximity unlock and they were normal linked door handles. No idea why as there really isn't a "need" for electronic door handles.
That JB Weld repair guy was a rookie. Spray foam would have done it, probably.

Some of these are in US states that don't require safety inspections of road vehicles. In the US, manufacturers are regulated at the federal level, but individual vehicles are regulated at the state level. And many US states just don't. (This ties into a larger context of some demographics distrusting any government, and varies regionally. We aren't all anarchists.)

Then I went to look up fluid quantities and found small print telling me the company that would sell me the owner's manual. All those booklets were operating manual, driver features, etc etc but specifically NOT the owner's manual. 🤬
I can understand that you might need to read the manual to learn about unusual features. But a door is a basic thing like a steering wheel - if it doesn’t work as you expect, that’s a design issue, not a driver issue.
@@Sashazur No one is forced to buy a car. When someone buys a car, they should know how to operate it. Regardless of how stupidly it is designed, THEY bought it and should read the manual. Calling the fire department and breaking a window because a person doesn't know how to get out of their own car is DEFINITELY a driver issue. 😂
honestly, ,in a stressful situation (imagine riding with someone in an unfamiliar car) door openers should work intuitively, without hidden gizmos or malfunctioning design pieces like the tesla doorhandles
Exactely, when you are unfamiliar with a car and have to look and not immediately recognize the door opener it's designed wrong.

I am surprised more garages don't call the cops on some of these vehicles. Edit in my country UK there are strict laws and vehicles can be stopped and prohibited from moving if they are that unsafe.
Depends on the country and the willingness of the shop to lose a costumer ( problematic costumer)
I don't think any shops are worried about people who make costumes...
Many of these vehicles are in the US, where many states don't mandate safety inspections. I'm serious.
If the government doesn't regulate safety, there's not much for the police to do.
Happens frequently in the UK.
It's mind blowing to me every time they say 'customer declined repairs and drove away'. In Australia if a car is deemed unsafe it will either get a 'canary' (yellow sticker that marks the car as unsafe but not too bad, must be repaired within 28 days) or a 'stop light' (red sticker that marks the car as dangerous and must not be driven until repaired). Mechanics are legally obligated to ensure genuinely unsafe cars are not on the road, and can be fined heavily and held liable if they fail to do so. Some states have yearly safety inspections, but all take this stuff pretty seriously.
I guess JB Weld is a big improvement over spray foam. Moving up in the world!

customer states "there's a racoon under the hood"
Its a Dodge-Ram trucks special feature...
As a technician myself, I sometimes get annoyed when clients decline repairs, especially ones that need to be done to make the vehicle safe but some of these put those to shame
On the one hand how many of those clients are just using you as a diagnoser, and they'll fix it at home? But on the other hand, if you are finding this issues during a routine oil change and either just happen to see them or are found when you do a complimentary inspection, then obviously they aren't taking it back to do themselves as they'd have just done the oil change themselves as well.

The first customer should've read the owner's manual.
If you need to read the owners manual to figure out how to open your car door, I think the problem is your car, not you.
@@Sashazur Newer cars have more computers in the gauge cluster than a typical household has total. They need to make the doors mechanical latches only.
Anyone with a smart phone could look it up quicker by doing a search than reading the manual. If I have a specific question about my car, that's what I do.
@@my3dviews Sometimes the online information doesn't apply to the exact car you have. No 2 cars are identical.

I have to admit that first video, I would NOT have foudn that outside release. On basically any other normal car build in the past give or take 50 years, you grab the whole handel and pull to open the door. some sneaky non visible latch on the BOTTOM of a handle? Props to the fire department for only cutting the window.
Agree to the first part, but the fire department? I think most of them have their phone with them, and she would have been able to hold out for the few seconds more for them to look it up on the internet before their window action. (If she isn't able to look it up herself with her phone...)

As far as I know, in every state in the US a mechanic cannot legally prevent you from taking your vehicle. However, they absolutely can (and should) call the police to report it as being unsafe.
It should be legal. Period. No one's right to drive a piece of shit trumps my right to having everyone else's car around me being safe to drive. If an unsafe car is next to me that cause us to get in a accident, I'm sueing the driver for everything they got.
@@brentruvio6556 The police can confiscate property, a mechanic cannot. It's not about the right to drive. It's about the legal authority to seize personal property.
The shop owner did the right thing by threatening to call police and it worked perfectly.
Depends on the state. When I was younger, Oklahoma had an "imminent danger" statute. The mechanic could not confiscate your vehicle, but could disable function, read disconnect the battery, to keep your car from being driven off. This was done to my car as I had a fuel pump leak on to arcing spark plug wires. Basically driving a bomb waiting to go off. (engine and cabin would fill with gas fumes while driving).
@@brentruvio6556 So far no one has said its legal in any state. I would be surprised if it ever was. The legal and civil liability is immense. If the mechanic is wrong you could be facing criminal and civil lawsuits.

I absolutely love this channel.❤❤❤❤❤
In fairness to the first clip, the NX has weird electronic door handles for a safety feature where they won't open if you park on the street and there's another car coming close enough to hit the door. I had one for a service loaner last week and even knowing in advance how they were meant to work (I'm a moderator on a Lexus forum, so I do know this stuff) it was a little unsettling the first time.
Edit: I wanted to clarify that you push in on the door latch to open the door. Trying to pull on it like every other car ever means it won't move, but it does have PUSH printed on it in big letters.
Still would call that an unneccessary complication of what worked well. There is no need to make something that already works well for everyone more complicated and add a possible malfunction/defect.
If there is a possible collision when opening the door from the inside, it can blink and beep at me, but not prevent the door from opening.
That's a possible safety hazard in my book.
If the system is detecting something that isn'T there, but i need to get out of the car for my own safety, this is going to have a bad outcome. And wokring in electronics /roubleshooting electronics for almost 25 years, there is no electronic that never has a malfunction. I work with systems that are way better tested, more expensive and made to hgher standards than car electronics and still i have plenty of work.
(One reason i am strictly against selfdriving cars. another one is ->humans can detect an error they make while making one and already counteract, software can't. It doesn't know the concept of being able to make an error. so when SW makes an error or has an error, things go really wrong.)
I'm sure the fire department knew about the manual door open. I've seen a fireman open a door to a building, look in, close the door, and then smash the glass door. They just like to break things.
We all have that inner child that loves to smash things.
You got to watch those poles. They come from nowhere.
