  • Exploring Monsaraz in Portugal. It is a picturesque walled village in the Alentejo Region and is classified as a National Monument. It is about a 55-minute drive from Evora.

No dogs there, that's really good! 50% chance of El Niño this year. Let's hope our trip will not be affected. My wife from the Philippines has become even more heat sensitive than me now🙂 Wish you could find a street for us in Evora, with no cars, no dogs and no smoking. Then my girls could enter the university there, while I travelled around photographing all these beautiful, walled towns.

I don't remember seeing dogs in Monsaraz. Alentejo region gets super hot in summertime and I don't think I can handle that type of heat. This is why I don't usually visit the souther part of Europe in the summer. Even when I visit in the Spring or Fall, I make sure the accommodation has AC. You will have a plenty of photo opportunities in these villages. You will see more in my next videos. If the heat bothers you, I would suggest you start your day early in the morning and then visit indoors till the weather cools down around 5pm. You have long day hours in the summer.

@@WandererBell Thanks for advices! Actually I handle both heat and cold quite good, while my wife has become very sensitive to both, after some years in Norway. She suffers more than me now, when visiting the Philippines. When she lived in the Philippines, she didn't think about the heat, while now it's too hot for her there and too cold for her here.
I hope there will still be a cool breeze from the Atlantic ocean when we're in Lisbon, and not the hot winds of El Niño.
Photo opportunities there must be endless! Aows though was blown away by the Norwegian coastline last summer. But I live by Lake Mjøsa, and no Norwegian landscape painter became famous by painting the landscapes here. Our most famous landscape painter, Peder Balke, had to go to Northern Norway, to become famous.
King Ludvig Filip of France was a big fan of Peder Balke, and now his paintings can be seen in Louvre.

Thanks! I'll watch this later today🙂 Just watched a video from one of my favorite photographers, Aows from Spain, you should take a look at his channel. Recommended the same thing for him:
"Cañón del Sil, I see you're back in Spain. We're going for a short trip to Portugal this summer. I wish to stay for several years. I follow the vlogger Wanderer Bell, he's making unbelievable vlogs from his journey through Portugal now. You should follow him. He's heading for Porto in some time. You should invite him to Galicia."

Thank you for recommending my channel. I will check out his vlog. I visited Spain in the past but I did not have a youtube channel at the time. I really enjoyed Spain especially the southern part known as Andalusia and I am really tempted to visit it again.
