      Yeah, they should've used the easy generic effect of keeping the hulk's model there intact, but with many small explosions repeatedly, continuously happening inside it.
      That'll properly lead into the cinematic where you see it actually completely blow up.

      Doran Martell that moment when you dont need TERMINATOR space marines for a SPACE HULK. Like, not needing the only person that is allowed to go in a Space Hulk, which is a very experienced and possibly old Space Marine in armor that is the strongest a Space Marine can have, that can be torr open like a can to a can opener, because it was easy to beat.
      Anticlimactic?

    • @Scarletraven87
      @Scarletraven87 Před 6 lety +4

      Dj11o9er
      Or, you're a biased space marine fanboy, and sending the best of the best to die in a horror movie scene does't make any sense precisely because you could just bombard it.

    • @dj11o9er
      @dj11o9er Před 6 lety +3

      Doran Martell its not that, Space Marines sometimes have relics in Space Hulks (See Space Hulk game series) , or they are a big threat because tyranids, Orks, or Chaos Warriors are in said Hulk and can threaten nearby worlds in some way. Terminators are the only ones allowed to go into one (Along with Librarians). Techmarines go in on some occasions. What would you send into a Space Hulk? Scout Squads or Tactical Squads, armed with mid range to long range weaponry, melee at best, or send in the veterans of the whole force, armed with heavier weapons, armor, that are great in close range, which is what Space Hulks basically are: giant space mazes of corridors and death.

      You're kind of talking about two different kind of space hulks here. The type you're refering to, Dj11o9er, are the derelict space hulks that tend to randomly go in/out of the warp, and are ancient ships full of old tech that pretty much everyone wants to get their hands on. This was against an ork space hulk, which is just a bunch of ork ships smashed/welded into the biggest ship around, and is fully "functional" and crewed by orks.

      @basedeltazero714 Před 6 lety +3

      True, the fleet management menu is kind of ridiculous
      Though Port Maw has numerous different orbital shipyards, and some of them are big enough to encompass a battleship, they aren't *that* big. Only the Necrons get to actually build planets.

      @torbk Před 6 lety +2

      While I agree for pvp, in Skirmish the others can do well, even the lance armed Gothic. Equiped for 9000 meter sniping it can support rather well, giving other shield buffs and shooting at targets during maneuvers when it is further from the enemy, doing that constant bit of damage during turns. I guess we all play it slightly differently though :) It was a good video and excellent captaining. Good show.

    • @1Maklak

    • @orishina8169
      @orishina8169 Před 6 lety +2

      No, even in real life it sometimes makes sense to have fixed canons for 3 reasons : it is way less expansive (articulations are even more expansive than the canon itself), it takes way less place on your structure, so you can do it smaller or put even more canons, and finally it is most of the time faster to reload (because it is less complicated organization, and so easier on to do it, but also because the canon don't move when you're doing it), so it makes sense, even in W40K, for once.
