I loved this game, I remember modding it so you would get cooler destruction sequences of the enemy ships like flickering lights etc.

This remains one of the best games ive ever played. What a masterpiece.

i spend soooooooo many hours playing this on my pentium 233. i upgraded to a 4mb graphics cards from a 1mb onboard and the game got sooo much better, first time i played this was a demo cd on a pc magazine, the raven mission...ok fans, how many times did you do it over and over every playthrough to get the damn Madcat?.

MW4 probably controls a little better, but MW3 is a great looking game with better gunplay too. And I could listen to MFB guy give me briefings all day.

Hey Scorch, hope you're doing well. c: I downloaded that zip with the already patched wcdx version of the game. It works great! Very playable and smooth, but there's only one problem (if you can call it that lol) but I seem to be invulnerable at all times? I haven't taken a scratch throughout most of the game. I thought I was just really good but turns out I just can't die lol. Is there a way to fix that? Not sure why that's on by default.

Respect. In my opinion it was not possibe to beat WC4 in Ace difficulty because of that damn rockets

I consider this the peak MechWarrior and while the ones after it have their own merits, they can't compare to this masterpiece. Graphics might be better, story might be better, but gameplay, the one thing that matters most? This is superior even after decades.

better leg physics than mw5/online looks better than mw4 and plays better than mw2 as a semi sim.

Voice acting in english is terrible. I guess that's why rating of this game on steam is so low. Russian is my first language. Game is russian. And in russian voice acting is awesome, it's much more vivid

I miss this game, love the possibility of depth of enecomy n bases n you trying to make your faction better. Wonder if theres a modern version? I dont think the cd version would work anymore lol

This mod deserves to be remastered cause I tried to mod my homeworld with homefront and instead the damn screen was off centered. Just wish I could play on the mod

Wing Commander 5 kind of bit them in the ass without the Black Lance. Tolwyn was mostly right. Just did it in the wrong way. Might be able to get away with clones. Using bioweapons on innocent populations. Nope. The dragon ship technology was really cool and would of been useful for Wing Commander 5. Now everything Tolwyn touched was tainted by the bioweapon usage.
