I'm enjoying the world, but I do miss South America.... It took 12 days on the water with 4 slow boats to do the whole thing. Where are you heading back to? Colombia? I really want to go back and spend more time in Brazil and the the countries round Venezuela

Leticia is amazing! I was lucky enough to visit twice in 2017 - the smells and flavours of the Amazon are exotically unique and I hope to get back there for another visit. What time of year did you go? I've seen many reports of crazy low levels on the Amazon river - did you encounter anything like that? Also, did you see any Amazon River dolphins during your crazy long boat ride? Looking forward to Part 2!
Yeah, Leticia is a unique border crossing and a fun place to walk around. I was there in late April, but we didn’t have any problems with the water level. The dolphins were so cool, I didn’t see any in the Peruvian side, but I did spot a few in Brazil
@@thestumblingnomad I saw the most dolphins around Puerto Narińo - hoping you made it up there as well as "Monkey Island". I guess I'll have to wait for Part 2.
Did you get to enjoy any of the local flavours, like copoaçu, araza, or mora? The fresh açai was incredible as well.
