Great video! I tie my own o-ring yarn indicators, but as this video demonstrates it's not necessary. Knowing and perfecting that leader knot is most important! Thanks for posting. :)

New to fly fishing and this hands down the best tutorial on yarn indicators I've seen yet. Thanks for posting this.

lather it in floatant and it won't sink.

Try a polymacromay (or something like that, can’t remember how to spell it haha). I purchased a huge roll on amazon that will probably last me 10 life times, and it was only $10. Make sure to really get all the fibers separated well, and coat it with floatant! I’ve had problems with other yarn too, but this stuff floats all day long, not exaggerating at all!

The stuff is called “Bonnie craft cord” and get it in the 6mm size.... hope this helps, I think you’ll love that stuff!

What brand yarn are you using for this? I can't find it anywhere.

Not the stiff, floating yarn that this video is showing. Most yarn sinks, moron.

your supposed to rub floatant into it...

Look up “Bonnie craft cord” in the 6mm size. I’ve been using it for years, just add a little drop of floatant to it and it’ll stay above water all day long! I got mine on amazon, but I’m pretty sure it’s available in most craft stores

I go down the road and pull wads of real wool off the barbed wire. My neighbor has about 200 woolies.
