I need to ask you a question @hampshirephoto... I am contemplating purchasing my first golf R but I'm concerned about the suspension. Is the suspension rigid or is it smooth? If it is rigid, how rigid would you say it is?
What is the best exhaust for the R, like from the sounds point of view.

Very cool video. I have a 2019 R. Oddly, the badge on the hatch says Golf instead of R, and I’ve not seen one like it. I have been told by the dealership that it is a sleeper package, but I have not been able to verify whether that’s the case or if my car has been mis-badged.

Loved this! Will try to be there next time. Mine’s a 7.5 in white with silver/ grey Pretorias. Gotta say I prefer them to the black ones 😉

Wow I’ll drive my Golf R every day and a park it on the street and sometimes don’t clean it for weeks and these people treat there cars like Porsches or something.

Normally really like ur videos but u are at an exotic car meet and we always see ur golf r on channel and u spent the majority of the video looking at other golf r's. It's boring they're not the be all and end all of the hot hatch world

The golf R is a good machine, but it's let down by it's bland looks..to any untrained eye ( a normal person ) it looks so close to golf or GTI. No reason the flagship R can't stand out, a little aero a bigger spoiler, just a bit more aggressive look. Proformance is there, looks vanilla.

Jesus 300hp? Who buys a modern turbo and doesn’t modify it ? You can get 505hp with no internal mods. Nearly 400 with a map and exhaust. Great cars. I’ve been in a few and have a 400 example. It’s quicker than my mates 500hp Cossie.
