I feel Gee paid her the highest compliment an artist could. Seeing his work flourish in a new generation, truly enjoying it and cheering her on while she works on her craft! Says a lot about his character.

To be 100% fair here, Dave Mackintosh was Dragonforce's drummer when the song came out, and co-wrote it. This came out in 2006. Gee didn't join until 2014 when Dave left. That's not a mark against him of course...his audition was also a really good cover of this song so it's safe to say he knows it pretty well.

I hope she has seen it. Saw her Cover first and then stumbled over this reaction. And what can I say, it doubles the Happyness I feel frim it. I watch this video when Iâm having a really bad day. Between Junnaâs happy energy and Gee being the proud dad, and air-drumming along while smiling always makes my day so much better. Both of them smiling while enjoying their passion is so heartwarming~ đ¶đđŠ
She was 20 years old when she did this video. She didn't start playing drums until she was 15, but she was originally in charge of percussion in a brass band before that, so she must have been a good rhythmically player, before she started whit the drums :)
She has the technical ability down rock solid, and she has the spirit and love for music, I hope to see her in a famous band someday.

So much power and control from a female drummer. She wasn't struggling at all and was even able to put a ton of style and flare into the performance. I hope people understand how much work she has put in to be this good.......not an easy song to pull off with this much ease.

Iâve seen a couple a couple of happy drummers, but this is probably the biggest sign fun Iâve seen from a drummer so far.
Akane in Band-Maid is always smiling and almost dancing with her drums and Miki in Show-Ya seems always have a happy day behind her drums... (I call Show-Ya the "grandmothers" of J-rock)
I recomend you to watch mini fairhurst or S. White (look for S. White asian drummer), these girls show so much joy when thay play, is amazing

I saw Shonen Knife twice, and their drummer Risaâs happiness could have powered the city of Baltimore for a year if positive energy were a power source.
Marco Minneman is almost always smiling and into whatever he's playing. One of the few people I've seen that can look so relaxed and almost bored playing a 3 or 4 part polyrhythm or Zappaesque nested tupplets.
Haruna from Lovebites is also incredibly positive and happy on the throne.

@@Ojisan642 is it really that hard of a song for "pro" drummers? as a non- musician, when i see someone play the drums, guitar, etc do fast changes of hand position or have a very fast rhythm i think that shows amazing skill, kind of like someone playing Liszt's music.
@@OrochiShaka the drummer, afaik, gives the rhythm for the whole band... so if the drummer fucks up once the whole band could stumble... (sry for my bad english^^ am german and it is midnight xD)
@@OrochiShaka try having perfect timing, rythm and control using all four of your limbs simultaneously at an absurdly high bpm for 5 minutes straight... the skill curve of drums in comparison to guitar isnt even comparable at that point tbh

I love DragonForce and it is such a blast to see Gee react to Junna and her incredible cover and immaculate percussion skills. Junna is such a cute girl with great skill having a blast and just fun to watch. Note that she sometimes closes her eyes and is mouthing the words to the song. Not even looking at the drums a couple of times yest not missing a beat. The hair sells her to. Good God Junna is awesome. Not sure which band Junna is in now. Would be cool to see her in a band opening for DragonForce. Gee and Junna could swap spaces for a couple of songs for each band.
Last time I heard she was in the girls rock band Kakumei.
She left GRBK (amicably) in March this year. They have recruited Nagisa on drums and changed their name to TRiDENT. I don't think Junna is in a band right now. She seems to want to do her own thing.
