Inside Rolls Royce Factory - Building Future Jet Engines

  • I visited the Rolls Royce Engine factory in Derby, England in January. This vlog takes a detailed look at how Rolls Royce build the XWB engine, the exclusive engine on Airbus A350. We also take a look at the various engine test bed sites, including their latest test site bed 80 which is under construction.
In the vlog Rolls Royce explain what went wrong with their Trent 1000 engines on the Boeing 787, also their future plans for the much bigger Ultra Fan Engine.

@@nnnnnn3647 yeah, Qantas 32. A single imperfectly drilled oil passage almost crashed an a380. They tired to do a secret recall on all of those Trent 900 engines but it got out anyway. They basically just stopped talking to the press until it was addressed. Had it not been for the A380 having 300 miles of internal wiring (the debris from the explosion actually severed the fly by wire controls for the side sticks, thankfully it has a duplicate set on the other side) it certainly would have been the first and only A380 crash and the first and only fatal crash for Quantas.

Many many kudos to the Rolls engineers !! You guys keep reinventing the wheel. I am actually checking these videos out to soothe my mind. I have invested heavily into RR stock and I’m going to keep it that way regardless of what happens price wise. I have a lot of faith in this company. The world would be very different and run by a little mustachioed fellow if not for you guys ! The beauty of these machines is on another level.

Have you ever seen any big company that was so gracious with sharing their profits, they would actually pay you for your high level skills? Smoke and mirrors..BUT, in their defense, the quality is good.....not because of their company itself but because of the skills and workmanship of the workers.

This shows just how big jet engines are unlike the pentagon that had just one hole in the building with no luggage seats, people laying all over the ground and the lawn untouched? Hmmm and ya wonder why the public asks questions about what we see as fact as opposed to what we're told and people changing stories (msm) to fit the narrative, also the confiscation of all surveillance videos from around the area...

Rolls-Royce don't make cars. The company started with cars, but Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as it is called now, is a subsidiary of BMW, who are licensed to use the name.

MercyReaper you can look at the company registration on the UK GOV website. It is Rolls-Royce Motor Cars (subsidiary of BMW). Yes they do the detailed work and upholstery etc in the UK. I'm sure they probably do a lot of design for aesthetics too. My point is that Rolls-Royce (PLC) is a global industrial technology company and the automotive side was licenced off to BMW. So the company 'Rolls-Royce' doesn't make cars. The subsidiary 'Rolls-Royce Motor Cars' does. I work for Rolls-Royce PLC and many people don't make it through interviews because they talk about cars 😂
