F350 cold start attempt part 2 (with success ☺️)

  • after about 3-5 mins between my previous video and this one, I checked my coolant and oil level to make sure everything is okay. I also did cycle my glow plugs 2 more times without trying to start the truck prior to starting this video. I also show true temperature changes with temp gun. I'm open to criticism and helping info about the 7.3 power stroke. ☺️👍

    Maybe need to replace the glow plug relay. What is the voltage drop when you turn the key on cold?

      Between 1.1 to 1.4 volts. I hope I don't need to replace the gpr, it's less than a yr old😯

      Jump the two main posts on the glow relay and get some one to crank the engine over. It looks like the old type solenoid

    Must have some mechanical problems because 38-40 degrees isn't even a cold start imo.

      You're probably right...it's been starting just fine since and it's been in the mid to low 30's 🤷‍♂️ I know that my fuel bowl heater needs to be plugged back in.
