it's so much nicer to sit here, drink beer and watch you do this chit!!
I feel your struggles shifting through the snow to please the internet haha!
That's a loyal snowbank you got yourself there
Everyone loves old greeny. She's so loyal. 👌
Good truck good battery, LIFE IS GOOD.
Looks like heaven to me. Cold and snowy
That's a loyal old Beast. Didn't even need the torpedo heater. That's loyalty 😝
People that make comments like "You're going to snap off your oil pump drive shaft", have never dealt with cold climates before. You're right too about highboys getting respect; I was looking into buying one and the prices are off the charts.
Love that old green girl. Show her some love and fix that front end please. Our family owned a 1972 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT 2 wd with the 360 V-8. Sold it in the 90’s truck had original under 60k miles on it. It was a beast but a very light truck.
Great video definitely a cold start lol.
some days i watch just to see the cold conditions, it helps deal with the heat here. 🤣🤣🤣
Such a loyal sweetheart!!
the amount of snow is amazing ;- ()
Those exhaust leaks bring back memories. Lol
Beautiful Scenery 🎄
Aw yeah! That's one trusty truck! It sure did like that big battery!
Sounds good. And she starts. 😀
"Do you want to see me do it again?" HELL YEAH! Good old Ford bent 8, great engine. I enjoy you humour, get me laughing every time, sometimes out loud even.
always a great video in the backyard
Thank you that was cool. Thats A LOT of snow. Those trucks are tough!
Never seen a snow drift idle before!
Love these ol ferds! I just put a holley sniper on my 78 250 and about to swap trans in my 79. They're so loyal
Your videos are great. Love your humor. Those old trucks are tough. I really liked your mine video... You did aways back. Keep making the videos...
Enjoyed the video. Have fun in the snow.
Wow that looks fun with all that snow the most I’ve ever seen was 1 foot of snow
Making it look easy. Always something you got to hit just right to open or a door handle that won't quite open. Keep the videos coming.
Hey Brother! Good ole reliable 'Ethel' has never let us down yet! She'll always be part of the video family. Thanks for taking the time to do that for us. For me, this will NEVER get old!
What a good old truck.
Be nice and get her a new air filter.
The FE manifold leak is real, lol!
All that Green Monster wants to do is RUN!!!
Truly enjoy your videos. I as well tinker and love the old trucks. Cheers from Washington near the Cascades!
Nice unit
Pretty awesome 😎🤘🏻
Damn near had to start the tractor first just to clean the snow off of the hood!😂😂😂🤘🏻👊🏻🤘🏻✌️
We are all panicking here there could be frost tonight. Great how they start in that climate must be doing it right
Loved this one also, nothing beats a FORD, and a dedicated owner !! Thanks so much for your videos !!
Wow great cold start! Never seen so much snow and your truck Needs some pedal pumping but it always starts! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Love this stuff! Enjoy the cold starts and going for a ride. Nice scenery out there too. Keep the old rigs going. Nice job with this channel. Will look forward to more.
A long time subscriber, I never get tired of your vid's. Keep em rolling.
Deserve a thumbs up on effort alone!
Old reliable starts every time Can't believe the snow you have out there And the pines looks beautiful
Fireman 🔥🔥🔥
Looks like some good snow, we will be up to Lake Louis next weekend for some snowmachine riding.
Time to set up one of those vintage sleds as the cold start support rig
Nice start up
Always absolutely crazy content I can’t imagine living up there bud
I try and keep at least one willys jeep with a hot battery. She's my portable jump box for the fleet! Cheers bud!
Yeah I love your cold starts bud I even loved the snowmobiles like watching your show I like it when you're working on the old war vehicles the Power Wagon and the Chevy Studebaker my favorite trucks I like your show and that and you're comical as all get-out Wednesday's I might get up there might run into you but I doubt it. Too old and I don't like the snow that's why I live in Arizona I hope you had a great Christmas and a great happy New Years even though it's late and that but have a good one I enjoy your your show
Winter wonderland up there. The old girl sounds healthy!!
Green bastard just won't give up!
Love it.
I use a concrete sweep on a painters extension pole to clear snow off the bigger vehicles.
You'll break the distributor shaft off in the oil pump? Rofl city boys say the darndest things!
Hello from Sterling, great videos of old iron!
Not sure if you're tough or dumb but I love it! Lol good stuff 👏
Got to love that v8 sound!
I love the when she comes back to life. I always enjoy all of your videos. Please keep sharing. Thank you. Until your next video.
Nothing like a Alaskan cold start!
Love the sound of this old beast👍👍😃.
🥖🇫🇷
Outstanding! Living in a tropical country it's not easy all the hardship that -55F entails. Had a glimpse of the Alaskan way of life back in 1998, when I travelled by most main state highways and flew to Barrow as well. My favourite US state by far. But it was spring time by then... Nothing compared to deep winter. Keep up the awsome work of preserving old iron. Am into old iron myself, mostly a Ford and IH fellow. 👍💪😎
* correction: not easy to imagine all the hardship...
Old green bean's got a big heart 👍 👍 👍 👍
I’m green with envy lol. Good old Ford 🍻
Good old Ethel
Love them old Highboys one tough truck... Enjoy all your videos... Wow that's a lot of snow. Keep up the great work 👍
Nice! What a difference a battery can make
OLD FAITHFUL ! You going to fix up the four by four in the spring? Oh right as the Johnny Horton song goes. "When its spring time in Alaska, Its 40 below...
Good old fe powered ford, gotta love it
Yard truck sounds pretty good
Ahh, the fluffy new snow smooths out all the dings and dents and coats the rusty hulks in pristine ermine! My only suggestion is you should consider a wooden hood prop for those arctic conditions- avoids the frozen flesh. Great video and superb commentary! Thanks!
Make a video rebuilding the Dana!
Sweet!
mint 👌
BYA, Shows what 50 degrees will do for ya! On your 55 below cold start you couldn't even let out the clutch in neutral! Now you've got wheel spin! Even though my house is at 6,000' we don't get as much snow as you have right now. Even if we added up about 50 winters of snowfall in central New Mexico I think you'd still have at least a foot more. Great Video! I was gonna say cool video but that's too obvious!
nice videos bud
In a decade or more I wanna get out to Alaska, learn my skills, self and trade before I head up there and I'll try to get in good with the locals so they don't mind telling me how to do it right. Help them when I can and keep to myself alone mostly without a care for the world beyond my property and business
You need to get an old Nodwell with all that snow
Now this is an idea I can get with
My ole 71 f250 wouldn’t start easy at all if it was under 30°F. I was shown to use PB Blaster. Quick snort of that and Half choke, Itll fire up. Man I put that ole furd throufh a lot. Went to MOM’s mud bog in mesick Michigan. Ran it up against modifieds that were running fkin 1200-1500-2000 Horsepower & Nitrous. Like wtf 😳… but believe it or not she came in 5th place outta 150-180+ trucks in rough N tough truck comp. 360 went. Uncle ended up having tons of ole furds and we transplanted a 390 in it. Did few truck / tractor pulls. Stock 390 and running gear, did 116’-21klb’s 😅…
Well the one thing you're right about is you'll probably never ever see a Tesla up where you live with negative 50° cuz I hear they have a big problem charging when they're very col
Snow is a wonderful thing......When it's on top of a distant mountain or the back of a postcard! Other than that, not so much.
Sissy
🤠👍
Any salvage yards around there??....Your area of ALASKA looks a bit like my area of rural northern Minnesota!...Great video!
I remember as a kid after a -40 snap it would overnight warm to zero .man that was t-shirt and tennis shoes weather . Smh Iam moving to the desert. Because I'm sick of Puget sound winters . Don't miss it at all
Cant find those old rigs like that around here. They all rotted away or got junked.
Wassup
Not eatin cheeze its. 🤠👍
How many horsepower does the billet prop rod add?
I have 2 80s f 250s not high boys by no means but good. I've given some thought about even a 78 or 9 pickup . But parts are just unavailable.
Woo hoo, I'm number 70 in likes
I'm telling you old Fords are the best they give you Built-in workbenches on each side of the engine Bay I mean who else does that anymore
Might a kicked to life with the first battery if it had a choke cable.
Anyone up ther have a Chevrolet that can pass a cold start test?
CRICKETS…………… I DIDN’T THINK SO!
She'll still be running strong racking up miles when every Tesla, Bolt, and every other EV has done burned to the ground.
-2°...you call that a cold start? Them's rookie numbers! Better up yer game! Lol
Better watch my -55 video and tell me that again.
@@BackyardAlaskan I did man. I'm just funnin ya. Love your videos!
@@mironeko3820 Lol cheers. Thanks for watching
Elon couldn't pay me enough to own a tesla. I'd take his money and buy one of these
