how to install shock extensions on an 02 F350

since I lifted my truck, the front shocks needed to be longer, but instead of replacing practically new shocks one of my viewers told me about shock extensions. I ordered a set from AutoZone.com and in just a few short days they were delivered to my doorstep. thanks for watching 😎👍

after getting severely overheated yesterday, I decided to get an early start on the u joints. I may have "rushed" the job trying to beat the heat coming in. after thinking about it, I believe where the driveshaft mates up, it may be binding. so after I get some much needed rest, I'll drop the driveshaft again and see if it's binding up which will also cause vibration. thanks for watching 👋☺️

I've searched all over CZcams for a video on how to remove the carrier bearing and u joints on a 2wd F350, and couldn't find one, so I decided to make a video specifically for the 2wd truck that covers 99-2016 F250 and F350 with the 8 ft bed. hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Changing rear shocks on my F350

since I added a 3 inch lift to my truck, I decided to swap the 2wd shocks for 4wd shocks. I haven't really made a how to video, but since my channel is improving, I put this one out to see how well it does. thanks for watching and hope this video helps 😎👍 02 F350 7.3 2wd long bed. Tools Used: 18mm ratcheting wrench, 18mm socket (1/2 in drive) and battery powered impact.

After walking outside and looking at the finished work, I was in "shock and awe" seeing how beautiful everything turned out. I couldn't be happier. 3:15 - I didn’t know it wasn’t written on mirrors anymore. I thought I was still young, but I clearly remember trying to understand why it was the case when I was a kid, haha. I also drive a 1991 Toyota Tercel, so I still have it on my car, lol. Ace Ventura is such a good movie! Great vid though, and nice truck!

It was binding up. I had to drop the driveshaft and reposition where the two halves mate up. I have some play on the rear u joint where the straps bolt to the differential yoke. Ill work on that tomorrow if i get the time, but ill definitely make a video about the shock extensions. Thanks for watching 👋☺️

This video is from months ago, but I've made some changes to my channel, so I've Reuploaded a few of my videos.
So far so good. These tires aren't that bad on paved and gravel roads. Just waiting for a rainy day to test on wet roads. I'm also waiting for my new rear shocks to come in along with my new carrier bearing and u joints. There's a slight vibration between 40-55. New tires are mounted and balanced, so that just leaves the worn out u joints and bearing 😏👍
What i meant by not being level is my driveway. The driver's side leading towards the house has low spots and on the passenger side the gravel has a "mound" shape to it😂
Just buy the kit if you want more than 2 inches. Weld all the bolt on crap to the frame. Spring spacers, lift blocks, wheel spacers, body lifts... all junk.
I will when I can invest more into the aesthetics of the truck. Right now my kids are my priority. Btw, thanks for watching ☺️👋
Does that shock have a stud at the top of it not an eye latest stud where are nut goes on top of the threads you can buy shock extensions
Yes, it has a stud at the top. I'm definitely going to have to look into that, because I just replaced the front shocks less than a yr ago. Thanks for the advice and thanks for watching ☺️👍
Put the wheel on, let it down, it _might_ reach, until you get an extended shock. On a motorcycle it's called "sag"
That's what I ended up doing, but I'm gonna look for some extensions to go on the top stud threads on the shock. I'll probably upload vids of my motorcycle later on down the road. I miss riding my bike. Thanks for watching ☺️👋

Nice video sir. Nice to see u film all your mods to your truck ect. I was working on my car today. Changed the alternator on my toyota aygo because it stopped working while driving to work. Now it charges again but now the brand New original alternator drains my battary. So installing a switch today. Have a nice day.
Thank you and I'm curious, how is your new alternator draining your battery? Seems like you have parasitic draw somewhere in your system.
I decided to tie into the center dome light rather than the rear dome lights. I'll order another set for the front soon and post the results 😊👍...next on the list is a CB radio install. It's a uniden pro510xl. I still need to get an antenna, coaxial cable and the antenna mount. I'm super excited and can't wait for how it all turns out. Thanks for watching.
Those taillights look good bro but you could probably take em out a tap that dent out through the fender

The brand of the light is actually: AAIN, I got it off eBay. So far so good. It was $60+ after tax.
This was super easy, i did have a small rip on the hot side upper boot, but i patched it with gasket maker and duct tape. Next on the list is 6.0 transmission oil cooler upgrade 😎

Thank you, I put a second coat on about 15 minutes ago, but it's now 59 degrees and going for a 3rd coat would be a total waste. Tomorrow is supposed to be 72 degrees, so I'll do the 3rd and final coat tomorrow. Thanks for watching 😊👍

Oh wow, hello from the states. And yes, I'd definitely de ice your windows. If you have a tarp, you could place a tarp over your windows. To keep ice from forming on the glass 😊
