The Greatest Comeback The NHL Has Ever Seen....

- The 2009-2010 regular season for the Philadelphia Flyers was largely underwhelming. They began their preparations for the new season by signing goalie Ray Emery, veteran forward Ian Laperriere, and making a blockbuster trade at the Entry Draft to acquire legendary defenseman Chris Pronger from the Anaheim Ducks. Despite these promising moves, the Flyers struggled to stay healthy throughout the season, resulting in a pretty mediocre season marked by hot and cold stretches. Ultimately, they barely managed to secure a spot in the playoffs.
but once the playoffs started, the 2010 Flyers became a different animal. And they proved that if you get into the playoffs anything is possible. This is the epic tale of how a dramatic shootout victory on the final day of the regular season sparked one of the most unforgettable playoff journeys in recent memory.

Will Edmonton join the Flyers and become the 5th team in NHL history to pull off the reverse sweep!??👀
Hopefully 🙏🙏
Please god np
If the Oilers beat the Panthers in Game 7 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final in Sunrise on Monday, not only they will win their 1st Stanley Cup in 34 years, they will become the 1st team to win the Stanley Cup after being down 3-0 since the Maple Leafs beat the Red Wings in 7 games in 1942.
After the way the season started, Edmonton coming back from 0-3 is probably the most on brand thing ever.
I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a game 7. I am not a fan of either team, but to me, Florida looks shook. Bob looks shaky. They had three games to win the series and couldn’t. I think Edmonton has all the confidence and momentum. Just want a competitive game with no controversy involved.
Another great video, thanks for putting it all together. Let's see if the Oilers can pull it off.
The thing about the Kings on that postseason in 2014 is that they made history for different reasons. Not only did they achieve the reverse sweep, they reached the Finals at the maximum limit of 21 games on their conference because all of the 3 series went on to Game 7. They won the Cup in 26 total games!
the kings comeback against the sharks in round 1 in 2014 was better because it led to them winning the cup for the second time in team history. Obviously this series was unreal but round 1 in 2014 was better because the team that did the reverse sweep would go on to win the cup while the flyers here came just 2 wins short
man you can definitely say that, but coming back from down 0-3 in a series, then winning game 7 after being down 0-3 is crazy
It's only been done 5 times in the history of the NHL playoffs so all 5 of them regardless of the outcome of their playoff run is simply ridiculous
@@anthonydangelo3980 yes it is 100%
@@ryansmyth-fw4tc no arguing that at all its absurd
As a flyers fan who remembers that season and playoff run well, i hope the oilers can pull it off. Nothing against the panthers. If they win, I'll be happy for them, but to see history like that, i hope we can experience it.
Edit: Ian laperrier not only needed 50 stitches and had a broken orbital, he also had a freaking brain contusion. He was a warrior for us,and I'll never forget he did that.
Canucks fan but i was 30 at the time i remember this comeback and i hoped the flyers would win the cup cuz chicago was always whooping on my team and philly put up a good fight
Naw LA vs SJ 2014! Was the crazy shit I’ve ever seen
As a Bruins fan this would give me nightmares but, we won the cup the next year in 2011 so, I'm not that mad about it.
T'was just another bump in the road on the way to finally lifting Lord Stanley. The Cup heals all.
The 3rd and 4th lines don't get enough credit. The Flyer's had a very slept on group of defensive forwards and chirpers. Unfortunately the goaltending and defense was hit or miss. As a Flyers fan that entire season was an insane rollercoaster of emotions!
mike camelari went god mode that year
Just seen the title, pretty sure the 3-0 comeback in the finals is bigger than
Let’s go Edmonton!!!
Music is brutal
2010 patty kane SHOWWWTIMEEE!!!
This is what we call a butterfly(ers) effect
Let’s Go Panthers
cup the following year. How'd the Flyers do again?.. oh and Edmonton bout to change this..
Go hawks
I hate how they put the emphasis on the G in prongers name. You dont ignore the g but u dont Grr It either. Just a light smooth transition from g to er in one motion. No french accent western canadian way of saying it i guess
Biggest mistake the Flyers made was Mike Richards hoisting the trophy and taking it to be touched by others after winning the conference final. The only trophy that should ever be touched is Lord Stanley's Cup. They violated that law and the hockey gods punished them
Thats BS...I saw Sidney Crosby pick up the Conference Trophy twice..they became a dynasty...
How do you explain this?
I dont believe in that "Dont touch the Conference Trophy "..its bad luck. I saw Sidney pick it up and skate around holding it up..
They became a dynasty..not a "one Cup every 2 generations" thing.
Yeah gurl honey gurl baby gurl you right gurl so true gurl
Boston bottling will never not be entertaining
same with jack Edwards crying
