I am loving walking the Camiño in reverse with you. Your positive outlook even on a rainy day is an inspiration. Looking forward to watching your future videos of the Camiño and of the Shikoku henro where I plan to walk next year.

Loving your thoughts on doing the reverse Frances. I completed the reverse as part of 3 back to back Caminos in 2018. I started in SJPDP and walked the Frances with the plan to walk to Santiago and then plane to Lison and back to Santiago. In the Meseta, on the way to Santiago, I thought a Pilgrim of the 14th century would have to walk back to where they started hence the reverse for me was born. It was by far the best fun and loved walking the Frances without crowds and gave me so much time to just think :) I also saw things in a totally different way as you met people over a cafe-con-leche with the knowledge you would never meet them again.

I can absolutely verify that yes, you missed the best Tortilla Española on the Frances at that bar. He makes it so creamy it's almost cheesy somehow. Had it three times now. I never miss it. But sometimes, a fried egg calls. I get it. Just means you have to go back! Oh, no! 🙃
Your bliss in this video is tangible. You are radiating with joy. Brought tears to my eyes. The memories you share (I really, really hope that walking stick went to a good home, but it's sorta fun not knowing), and the orujo-spiked coffee. Man, oh, man. And having the Camino to yourself like that. I used to run ahead just to walk alone sometimes in these late stages after Sarria, to drink in the magic of Galicia with no one around. You got to do it with no effort! I love it.
Thanks for the holler out, hermano. Thanks for blazing the trail for me and my upcoming VdlP. I hope one day to walk with you. Hey, there's always the Camino Madrid. 😜

I meet you once in albergue de abuela, i hope you are fine. Thanks for the video. I have to say because I do a lot of caminos, and the worst part of Camino frances is Sarria to Santiago, it's a lot of people and a lot of carretera, more up down, them I think I miss Navarra and Rioja....

hi Luis, nice to hear from you again. I'm doing fine. I made it SJPDP and I'm home now waiting for the three months period before I can head back to the EU to finish off this trip.

It's gotta feel great to walk the opposite direction of the crowds. I often think of going back to do it again just for the Meseta or to do the Del Norte.

Do del Norte, it's one of the most beautiful camino

My man Efren! Love to know the amount of kilometres you've walked in the last 10 years doing trails.
I think you're in the elite numbers bracket anyway!

Just finished my first Camino. From SJPdP to SdC. April 25 to June 3, 2024. I went solo. Gotta say you were an inspiration for me ever since I started my planning. Wish my CZcams channel was as awesome as yours! Buen Camino!

Another great episode. So weird seeing you hike seemingly empty trails. I wonder what the Maseta will have in store for you.

it was like this for almost the entire trip. there were sections that were busier than other but as I was getting to SJPDP the peak season was in full swing.

Hi Efren, Have you ever considered becoming a Spanish Citizen? It could help you with the 90-day restriction on your stay due to your American citizenship and open some opportunities to your albergue enterprise. It was just a thought because you mentioned that your grandparents were from Galicia.
Keep it up with your excellent videos, and have a great day! Happy Father’s Day

Yes, I have. It's my great grand parents on both sides, but it's hard to find their records in Cuba.
