I played Alkaline for my friend in the car bc I really wanted her to experience what I experience when I listen to Sleep Token and she just talked the whole time 🙄. I was so annoyed.

I really love that he rhymed "pattern" and "matter", given the etymology of those two words: they stem from the Latin words "pater" and "mater" which mean "father" and "mother", respectively. Also, the root meaning of "matrix" is "womb", interestingly enough. 🤔

I love words... Words are magical. For example, the fans of this band use the word "worship" a lot... Did you know that that word is made from the word "worth"? "Worship" is essentially "worth-ship"... meaning that whatever is worth the most to you personally is what you personally worship, regardless of any traditions, ceremonies, practices, whatever... Worship is strictly a matter of what is worth most to you, and nothing more; those practices of worshippers are only symbolic representations of the worship, and are not the worship itself. This is the true meaning of the word, which is found only by studying its roots (etymology).
This song like… hurts my insides.

Yeah it did. I adore Sleep Token they are just fantastic to listen to no matter what time of day it is. Just try and avoid them if you are feeling a little down as they will destroy you and the tears will flow haha.

You used the perfect word to describe them...special!! They are unique and the emotion that this band is able to invoke is incredible. I've just discovered them about a month ago and I try to show other people. A few were super receptive and loved it but most people are close minded and say dumb shit like.."it's not heavy enough for me". I'm like.."Relax Cannibal Corpse, it's unique and beautiful and too good for you anyway".
Yes I agree! I’ve tried to show people them also and haven’t got anyone else hooked so I’m just stuck jammin them myself. I only found them a month or so ago.

@@aidanwalsh6265 I have saw them live and for some tracks he used a backing track but others he did sing. I really want to see them again though. Their music speaks to me in a way other music doesn't.
