This is a helpful video, thanks. I just bought a new Stratocaster kit, and want to upgrade the tuners. What is the difference between grip lock open vs closed? What do you recommend? Thanks!
The main difference is look and tuning ratio. The Enclosed is a 15:1 ratio and the open is an 18:1.
Be great if i could get the ones i wanted in the uk without the shipping price of 56 dollars.. no dealers where i live stock the black vintage style (8.5mm), staggered post tuners. Ive looked and looked and the only place i can find them is your site. Looks like ill have to go without!
Have you looked at BTN music? They are very good about special ordering for customers.
If I have a flat headstock however the tuners are flat and all the same height do I get staggered or not staggered tuners?
If you have a string tree on your guitar (the clip that holds down the E&B and sometimes one for the D&G), a staggered set of tuners would improve the guitar.

Will these fit a slightly bigger hole of 8.75?
